this week, The Buckleys are back! And they are giving us everything we love! From grass updates, to DIY disasters! Join James on set, as he gives us a sneak peek behind the scenes filming of his new TV show, The Hoard!

Without seeing the instructions, most wallpaper these days is paste the wall. You will find it is so much easier to do if it is. Good effort for first try tho! 🤙

That wallpaper problem is a great visual metaphor for demonstrating that you can't spot problems when you're too close to them.

Don't be so harsh on yourself, you did an INCREDIBLE job with the wallpaper, Clair! Had it been the Peel-n-stick, wouldn't it have come with the risk of it losing the adhesive every time it touches the wall, like how adjusting a sticker on a Lego set can risk it not sticking down! Those art-pieces would look great in MIMA & TATE modern!
My dad always used to say that the person who did the wallpaper always notices the bits that are a little off because they did it but generally no one else will! And also DIY is no fun when you've not got James to shout at! Wallpaper looks fab, you're braver than me choosing such a pattern for a first attempt at wallpaper 😅x

If that was your first attempt at wallpaper then you did a damn good job. I have to say though I was pissin myself when you had the paper upside down and it wouldn't match but you got the job done. Oh and I better say James grass it looks fab...........aye the grass.......it's fab lol. Harrison is quite the artist too.

First time wallpapering, and its a wall with a window , blind AND a radiator!! You like to make things "easy" for yourself don't you? 😄You did a great job with all those obstacles. I have this wallpaper in the other colour way and love it.

Love your grass - agree there a few dodgy patches. You're getting there James. My late Dad was a self-employed Painter and Decorator his craftsmanship used to amaze me. He used to hang rolls of wallpaper and they looked like a whole sheet was on the walls - you just couldn't spot the joins.

Not an easy thing wall papering. Hats off to the pro's. Harrisons quite an artistic lad. He's very good indeed.
James you have a mini that is always at the garage!! hardly a fighter jet.. Hope Neil gave you some of his 'Palace Ale' decent drop they sell at the ground. Good effort at the papering, I'm a decorator who does papering the trick to lining up the pattern all the way down is timing, each piece has to be 'soaked' for the same amount of time, you getting it wrong (upside down) would have impacted the 'soaking time' try to get the 'paste the wall paste' less mess and a bit easier, no charge for the consultancy.

I must be weird because I liked the look of wallpaper upright, upside etc. Risk of the small room looking even darker though maybe.
As much as it seemed a pain for you was just so adorable watching you wallpaper. Shouldn't be hard on yourself, As a man I suck at wallpapering so don't even bother. You still dig in and get things done.
Those paint pens look cool, I thought they was those scent pens at first, I remember when people use to smell pens to get high, weird they make them now😂

Your wallpaper is great. It looks like the background you use in your vlog!
If the corner isn't straight then it all goes tits up after the first piece.
Start in the middle. Use piece of string with a weight to get a vertical straight (you can get ones with chalk that you ping against the wall and it leaves a line). Work outwards from there. Patterns with vertical lines can look odd when you get to the corner if you have to cut them out of line though.
First attempt, excellent. Definitely give it another try
