@@randallstandridge I remember playing Tadpoles last year! In fact my band teacher’s husband met you! (He teaches band at the high school most people at my middle school are going to)
This is my favorite concert song. I'm a 4th chair flutist and our band has a really good program that this is such an easy song to play. The band director even showed us this cause we needed easy Christmas music for the concert, and this was the perfect song.
Yes oh my gosh!!!! I'm so happy last year we played Santa the Barbarian!! Now this year we are playing Son of Santa the Barbarian!!! ❤❤ We also have a person that narrates it so good!!! So it sounds AMAZING!!!! I'm begging you Plzzzzzzzz do another follow up next year!!! 🙏🙏🙏 I speak for everyone in my band when I say we LOVE playing your music!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m so excited to get to play this at my schools winter concert! We’ve played a Santa the barbarian every year since covid ended and we got our new director. The other kids in band love playing these songs as well and they always bring a smile to our audience.
Playing this and the Snowpocalypse in my last winter concert of middle school. It's a bittersweet moment knowing I may never play another Santa the Barbarian song
@imnotrylee My B.D. made it a soli because the whole flute section was arguing about it :( (There’s only 4 of us if you don’t include me because I’m occasionally piccolo)
I absolutely adore the piece, but also the story! The use of narraration is brilliantly crafted into the piece. Maniacal (in a good way) work as always, Dr. Standridge!
I love Randall standrige music I played mechanical monsters and I loved it then I tried playing wrath of the mechanical monsters also loved it and I’ve played all of the Santa the barbarian plus black beard
We are playing this for our band concert each year he’s been doing all of the Santa the Barbarian songs (my band director) so yeah! I play the alto sax!
Randall, my band played all 3 Santas last winter. And this song just brings memories and tears to my eyes (not literally). I hope I get to play this in high school. But thank you so much
My school concert band is SO excited to play this for our concert! I absolutely love the back and forth between major and minor and vibes. As a percussionist the constant time changes will be so fun to play!
My band director gave this to us a few days ago! It's so good, we all love playing it. I've played so much of your music, I love every piece. As a person who loves The Planets, that Mars reference was so noticeable to me, I adore it all!!
I played the 3rd Santa the Barbarian for my cristmas concert as my 2nd year! This one sounds really good. Hope my band teacher Mr. Crosby chooses this one for my 3rd year christmas concert.
We're playing this for our winter concert!! I'm a college level tuba player so yk... It's very easy for me 😭 We're already playing it but its challenging when rehearsing in a small class. Soon, all grades will gather and it will become one whole to enjoy! :)
I'm playing Santa at the barbarian in a couple of months, I'm a clarinet player and I can't wait, I also haven't played music by Randall standaridge but he is my favorite composer and his music is super good 😅
Child: Mom, why does Santa give coal sometimes? Me: well, HEY SIRI PLAY SANTA THE BARBARIAN Later- Child: Mommy, that can’t be true. Me: it is true, a pure legend of the bands.
Randy Standy!❤ Shame upon you not publicizing this enough! I have been following your social media since last December when I learned about the Barbarian trilogy and thrilled to it! Not following closely enough apparently, if I learned about this in mid October! 😮 Beyond amazing! Is this like Star Wars, another trilogy set and then another? I would say yes, you are the modern George Lucas for the instrumental music genre.
BRO WHAT ITS SO GOOD I LOVE IT, it sounds like mars like the entire time but Christmas. I will be notifying my band teacher rn. You should totally make like a 3.5 from this idea, ah yes introducing “Cousin of Santa The Barbarian”
Bruh I’ve played the other 2 and now i need to play this one. But i wondered how this would affect the Santa the barbarian lore because Santa the barbarian is dead
After listening to all the Santa the Barbarians masterpieces ( in my opinion your best music) I’ve come up with a great storyline. Number 1 is about STB who was bullied as a kid got revenge by of course conquering the world. Then the STB pirates of the North Pole which is of course him successfully conquering the North Pole. But then in STB snowpocalypse the great army of summer had a great battle with STB which I like to call the great battle of the North Pole.
Wouldn't nicholas's mother canonically Irish bc if his father is a barbarian, which is savlic and iceland areas. And the sant Nicholes is irsh. Hey, but that's just a theory A MUSIC THEORY.
IM SO EXCITED, my band teacher literally obsesses over Randall Standrige's music and hes making us play all parts this year, i love all your pieves btw!
My band played Santa the barbarian, Santa T He barbarian and the pirates of the North Pole and this year we are playing Santa the barbarian and the snowpoclypse(idk how to spell it) and son of Santa the barbarian
We literally played Santa the Barbarian at our band concert! I’m a clarinet! I love Randall Standridge’s music!

Trumpet player here!! My band teacher is making us play this and let me tell you it sounds great together! :)
I am a flute player and we are playing this at my middle school (I’m pretty excited about it) and for it being grade 2.5 we are doing really well!
I’m a flute player too, are you doing a solo or soli for the last flute part? Or is it not determined for you yet?
@@EnbyBee we haven’t decided yet but I hope it’s me even though the solo is really short
Same here :D
@imnotrylee My B.D. made it a soli because the whole flute section was arguing about it :(
(There’s only 4 of us if you don’t include me because I’m occasionally piccolo)
@ ohh ok I kinda like it being a normal solo more honestly but if everyone was arguing about it then it’s a good thing it’s a soli
I absolutely adore the piece, but also the story! The use of narraration is brilliantly crafted into the piece. Maniacal (in a good way) work as always, Dr. Standridge!
Thank you, I only make new chapters in this story when I feel like I have a really good idea. I hope it lived up to your expectations.
I love this piece. It is pretty tough. Playing Bells.
Common Dr. Standridge W, we played Lullabye and March Phantasma last year and it was great!

Same! I'm sad that since I'm in 8th grade now we're playing this series for the last time
