    Dear Owen, last year at this time I was extremely depressed and lonely. I was 22 and have never dated before, every girl I asked out rejected me. Since then I have moved across the US (in socal!), started my first job, and began dating. I even had my first kiss last week (I know it's not much but to me that's huge). Anyways, while I'm still not quite where I want to be, and dont quite know my long term goals, and I still have depressive thoughts once a week or so, I have a lot more self value now. Not because of those things but because I feel more confident in my frame, values, and identity. Your way of articulating those topics and actionable steps like 1000/10 rejection response, being in a 'victory lap', and auditing your life really helped me reframe my thought patterns. Thank you :)

      Bro, I'm too scared to take action, what gets you to take action bro?

    • @rsdsindy
      @rsdsindy 7 месяцев назад

      @@scatchef first time taking action is hard, but it is really about creating a snowball and then riding the wave, never stopping and going all out.
      one of the things that can help taking action is involving someone else into your life. it can be simple as a "challenge".
      for example my goal is to approach a group of people at a social gathering, but that can be scary, if you have never done it in your life (scared of the unknown, very common and linked to our human evolution).
      how you can motivate yourself to do that, is go with a friend or even a family member and give them something, that you value, so there is no turning back.
      my own story is of me going to bar and literally paying 50usd to a random guy sitting at a bar and said to him "hey, if I wont approach that group and not gonna make the whole group laugh in the next 3minutes, you can keep the money... but if I make it, you give me the 50usd back and I will buy you a drink."
      that guy easily accepted, shook hands with me and I went, but then I got stuck halfway through the approach, getting into my head and i just stood for a while playing all possible outcomes in my head, but what got me through was, that I just couldnt turn back and get the money back, because it was a random guy and I handshaked that guy, plus I would make myself a fool infront of him and probably the barman, which would hurt my ego more, than a group making fool of me, so the easier outcome was to go in and approach, than to leave the bar or ask for the money back. I did that, made them laugh using a very very bad prepared joke and then left the group, talked to the guy and left the bar. I was so happy, but pushed a boundary inside my head, that I needed to processed that.
      with this story, try to find, what you can use on yourself, to make the action a better outcome, that nonaction.
      from my own experience, involving other people and money can be enough, but you should know yourself best and this is just about bullshitting yourself into doing the action and then slowly building the snowball, so you don't need stupid challenges to take action and you just do it, because you already don't fear of the unknown.
      but while yes, this is effective, it's the first layer and you might wanna deep dive into "why there is the fear in the first place" and then "why does this type of motivation works?" and diving deeper, but first thing is to start rolling the snowball, then it will become much more easier to take action.
      hope it helps:)

      Maybe the goal of letting go of all the trauma and getting to what you call “normal” feels overwhelming.
      Maybe sometimes it feels more light to think “hmm, I wonder what this pattern of mine is all about” - so focusing on becoming curious and conscious of our own patterns, instead of thinking that you need to “get” somewhere in the future by letting go.
      As long as you see what’s happening inside you, you are gradually gaining power.

      @@srendssingjensen9252 i know its not about getting somewhere in the future, its just that, this conditioning is very deep and was developed through years of neglect and abuse from parents, so even if i feel my emotions, let go, there is still a bottleneck, realizing consciously what your patterns are doesn't fix them instantly, because they are stuck in you body, mind and nervous system. Its just takes time is all, and its frustrating, because, you didn't ask for none of this, but now you have to deal with it on your own. So i was just venting i guess.

    I lost my father at age 25 and I not only use my death for reference when making decisions for the future but his as well because we are very similar with our interests and things we are passionate about as well as similar traumas. He had a lot of unfulfilled potential/dreams. Despite having a successful career in commercial real estate, I think back to those times where he was chasing his boss's approval who he could never get it from or where he lived his life inauthentically. He was a very smart person, and I look up to him. I think it can be important exercise to reference others' deaths and lives and what you can learn from and apply it to your own so that we can live more authentically.

Instead of wanting ANY girl, I know know exactly what I am looking for and get this extreme anxiety that I will never find it and my dream of marrying a girl in my 20s and growing together will never happen. @heartdominance Год назад +5

    *PART 2 OF 2 - THIS IS TO THE 1%’s OUT THERE!* as as my own thank you from the great _Heart Dominance_ now go and enjoy your life!
    Now, let’s briefly talk about what happens when you’re not able to do this, in particular we’re going to use narcissism as our case study and our lead into the next one “Your Inner Social World” where it actually acts as a psychological defense to not being able to empathise with the damaging circumstances that led their psyches needing it as a counterattack to what they were experiencing and their inability to contextualise what was happening to them. This is also the case for the inverse, where someone experiences too much praise and becomes too narcissistic as they’re unable to employ imaginative empathy to contextualise the events that occurred to them and that they’re responding to internally and changing their brain chemistry over internally without even realising. In so saying as much, when you’re not generating imaginative empathy on the events around you, you’re not generating abstract context that informs your awareness and vice versa that in turn changes the way that both has you see the social world around you and builds an internal landscape in response to it. This has massive implications for both how our sense of self not just our self-esteem and self-concept forms from our earliest beginnings right to now where we don’t even realise we still possess the plasticity to radically altering our inner world from this extremely simple understanding. Extremely simple that like myself now, you’re no longer blind to and can begin to take control back and moving back to disorders like NPD/unhealthy-narcissim the more you begin to deepen your understanding over, you’ll see how maximizing your abilities here maximizes the order within the psyche and in return protects you from disorder whereby arguably the majority of disorders in the DSM are to their nuance a mirror to how they’ve become slaves to not realising the necessity of mastering this process of empathy and so in many cases, psychologies have created defensive mechanisms in the form of personality disorders as a way of coping as a disguise for what their subconscious believes is them thriving but is actually a parasitical infection on themselves and those around them. So in short, the more you learn how to use your empathy to inform your outer world the more you can have it grow your awareness and in return intelligently inform your inner world towards your highest positive growth.
    And now the third…
    *(c) Your inner social world:*
    Now these are really the keys to your inner kingdom, now that you’ve controlled and are growing your empathy you’ve controlled and are now growing your awareness and ability to abstract, these two combined are now generating a completely new feedback loop internally for what constructs not just your inner world but your inner social world as you’re now beginning to see everything and anyone through your own two objective empathic eyes, thereby no longer relying on social conditioning or other people to inform that state and inner world creating, personality defining even consciousness feedback loop. So you’ve really got to breakdown the changes that have now occurred in your consciousness to see the significance of what you’ve now accomplished. You’re now doing what Owen talks about achieving, you’re now at the cause of your own experience as you’ve been able to intelligently identify this extremely subtle feedback loop that was previously controlling you in ways you never saw and are now beginning to master it in ways you were previously COMPLETELY BLIND TO as I was. Think about it, this goes far deeper than you realise, the very fact that most people can’t do this is the very reason we have so many unhealthy social norms, unthinking conformity and various digital parasites are able to get into the social ecosystem and become addictions that people fall into slavery with where they are the Master and you are Pavlov’s dog. And sadly, it’s almost as if social norms are driving peoples empathy further down so that they can less and less see through what’s actually happening socially around them and therefore less and less have an influence on their social brain that basically regulates more than 80% of their psychology. Not saying it’s a conspiracy but it’s understandable why some people come to the conclusion that there’s a conspiracy theory or two that are true. There’s still finer distinctions I have to make here but I’ve shared what I can for a RUclips comment, I’ll let Owen’s influence here be the one that helps you make the right lateral thinking connections. Overall, the less empathy you’re able to master, the more of a slave you’ll become to your own thinking and or the parasitical infection of someone else’s unhealthy thinking. Who said “Put witches to crosses”? Someone said it first, then those people that heard it were likely not able to empathise and I’m not even talking about just the pain the ‘witches’ went through, I’m talking about their ability to observe, analyse and model the origins of how the thought was generated in the creators mind so they could forge a context for not only its existence in the creators mind but also the followers minds and therefore their own mind and how they were influenced by various sub-dynamics there. Their inability to empathise on this front changed the course of history and so did the ability to empathise when it came to formulating the idea of constructing and releasing fast-foods that lowered peoples thinking abilities as a kind of hidden societal warfare.
    _There is less than a 1% probability that you will be successful in using this information to truly and deeply change your life even though there is a 100% probability that it would. Even if I was Elon Musk or our great Owen Cook himself, there’s a large part of you that would forget to apply it within a couple to few days. Prove me wrong by coming back in twenty days to share your insights and any deep questions you have for me 🙂._

    Tyler, or, maybe you prefer Owen now,
    I never got the chance to meet you in person. I was a teenager when my brother handed me "The Game", and you were the creep in the game. When I got into pickup and found your content,
    It resonated with me as the least contrived form of pickup. I was going into college, and because of all of those influences, and a lot of courage, I was a player in college, and had my first open LTR at just 21 years old.
    Now, that life and that world is not what I want, and I guess it was never what I wanted as a "final destination."
    You and julien were a huge influence in my life, that you never were aware of, and that you never/I never got to meet.
    But - the point. I didn't watch the video, I have a hard time listening to anyone but myself anymore, but just to give back in a small way, just from the title, it really says a lot that you somehow continue to be cutting edge in talking about the modern world of men.
    To tell you the truth, I've been considering starting a channel on youtube with RSD___. It wouldn't be about pickup. Not 2012 pickup at least, not... going out. Not.. going anywhere. But, I don't know what would be the point. I don't want to help other people, not after everything.

    im happy to hear how educated you are about christianity.. Pir Vilayat Khan a great islamic mystic, he was saying similar things about jesus, that actually hit pretty hard, and u kinda say the same thing. He said that jesus actually tought the people to now make their confidence dependent on their social status. And i think thats pretty profound, since its so true. You see, kids aswell as animals unless theyre very traumatized are always completely confident of themselves, and if theyre not, they still will be confident in their inconfidence somehow.. As theyre made theyre perfect, thats obviously the same thing with humans but they tend not understand and forget that theyre just as extraordinary as the universe itself.

    The last guy who talked about a second birth, or spiritual re-birth, got cemented to the four corners of a prison cell, the guy before that, he got canned and caught up on the cross before he could bring that second birth movement to fruition in the minds of all his brothers...
    But you, my friend, and Julien, and all of those whom believe in this second birth, can't possibly ALL be killed before it takes affect, and effect, this time around....for they can stifle the cause, by stopping the effect, but they cannot kill a symbol, the living representation of an idea, nay, they simply enhance it's power with each satanic ritual they employ to stymie it's efficacy, and stifle their own powers, through their superstitions, and selective dedication to their saturnian means of strategy, strength, and subsistence.
    When The Black Cube is broken, we will leave this planet behind, but far before then, Shaitan will fall, and Lucifer, also known as Lord Jesus to the layperson, will rise again, and bring prominence, and paradise to the people, with Shaitan being the psychic sacrifice that splits that forsaken cube in half, and stimulates our species' journey forward, to the stars, wherein lies our destiny.
    From stagnation, comes more life, and from great destruction, even greater creation.
    It is The Will of The Master, The Monad, The Mad and Grand Architect of The Universe, that we achieve Singularity, and our species realizes it's internal spiritual potential.
    May His Will be honored inside each and every one of us, as we honor ourselves with every right action.

    *And just to briefly 😎, briefly, briefly add a part 3 of 3 **_(see below for more lengthy parts):_*
    *_A big final thanks to Owen and team, again this is just my way of showing appreciation for all the effort that you guys put into creating this great free content, peace!_*
    Even though I should stop as I want to doubly emphasise the importance of how mastering this Unique Empathy to the level of depths you’ve never understood before I now expressed it to you by yourself. Aka as I mentioned regarding the incalculable value of slowly building your own neural model through lateral, divergent and deep critical thinking of how mastering this process both builds and therefore profoundly shifts your perception and sense of self through both a social and self-observational lens, here’s one more thing I wanted to add.
    As you get better and better, you’ll go back in time in your mind and you’ll start to reinterpret past interpretations and you’ll be like WOW I cannot believe I was motivated by the x, wow I can’t believe I fell for that, wow I really had no understanding of my self during that situation, wow I can’t believe my inner social world was constructed based on that narrative, wow now I see why this person was acting this way, wow now I get why my parents/siblings/friends/people did x (even though it still may not be rational you’ll understand why they were employing that irrationality unconsciously because you’ll be able to reverse engineer things better). And as you get better and better at generating better understandings on the narratives of the past guess what else will be easier? You’ll be able to better and better simulate, project and predict future versions of yourself, others and scenarios in general and sort through all of the emotional and cognitive information through more and more sophisticated mental modelling that is becoming also increasingly sophisticated to incorporate subtler and deeper layers of cognitive and emotional processing and experiential growth feedback loops through that higher state of consciousness.
    It’s going to be super difficult, but do you really want to be anyone other than a 1%er in this area of life given how much positive value you’re going to be receiving? Achieving this means the:
    * End of validation seeking
    * End of social anxiety
    * End of toxic relationships
    * End of being poked and prodded by your social environment aka the END of social conditioning
    * End of trauma bonding and trauma in general
    * End of cultural brainwashing
    * End of struggling to intelligently appraise social situations
    * End of social conflicts as you get better at seeing the source of problems and resolving things through multi-step causal thinking
    * Appreciate not only people more but all of life as it impacts the very basis for how you think about the origins and evolution of all of the universe
    Good luck! Add to the list yourself, you’ve already got the process you just need to exercise it!

    *PART 1 OF 2 - THIS IS TO THE 1%’s OUT THERE!* as as my own thank you from the great _Heart Dominance_ now go and enjoy your life!
    Excellent video Owen and team, I remember your earliest video on poison dripping years ago it was a game changer.
    Positive contribution I want to make to folk is on the fine tuning of a certain thinking process that is going to radically redefine their life. This is just my way of saying thank you to your effort here and my appreciation to the extra effort you guys have gone to in order to create high quality content. Best regards.
    I’ve discerned what’s so important for my actualization as a being is:
    *_1. Unique Empathy_*
    - Let’s begin this reading with extreme open mindedness and I promise you your perception will be enhanced by the end of this reading, I’ve categorized it as _Unique Empathy_ because we’ve been brainwashed into the limits of how empathy benefits our lives and other unique processes that all complementarily work together to forge our overall intelligence about ourselves, how our inner worlds are formed and the greater world around us. I am right now training myself to use empathy as a part of my reasoning in all situations, and if you try it the better you get the more you’ll see the overlap between the mentalization involved in empathy and three major important areas that inform more than 90 percent of our everyday processing, thereby informing whether we will have a mental parasitical infection or not.
    _Before I begin, you must accept that you have a dumb-downed version of what empathy is and what we can use it for to advance ourselves before you can begin to be able to use this information to your advantage._
    Here’s the first one…
    *(a) Neuro-social-map:*
    Think of all of the subconscious reactions you have to all the thoughts and emotions produced in you even when you’re AWAY from people. Going back to ‘vampires’, you’ll realise not only how much your self-esteem and self-concept is informed by the “social brain” but also how much mastering empathy on your various consciousness states again even away from people allows you to take back your own power (aka no more vampiristic influences) and begin to self-inform your own self-esteem and self-concept through the realism that empathy provides rather than the distorted views of social life as almost no one tells the truth about one another anymore. You’re going to underestimate just how powerful it really is to master empathy but I don’t have thousands of words here, think about it, imagine if your empathy was maxed out right now you would be able to know exactly the intentions for why someone said something, the way they said it, you’d be able to model that against culture, their influences while simultaneously doing it for yourself which means anyone else’s opinion and reaction to you would now only hold that amount of weight rather than being this hugely defining thing as it is with a lot of people. What I’m saying very concretely, to the extent you can empathise, you are socially free and you’re societally free as you’re now able to see through all of society now as well.
    And now the second one…
    *(b) Abstraction, Self-awareness and Imaginative Empathy*
    Your ability to mentalise anything from an empathic lens is going to be correlated by your ability to model the world the world around you in so saying as much, by mastering your empathy in as many creative ways as you can, you’re also mastering your ability to abstract on the world around you and see yourself and others, as the worlds abstraction. This is why I said I now employ it as much as I can on every form of reasoning so that I’m as much as possible activating those regions in my nervous system because I know how damn much I’m subconsciously being influenced by the world around me through even just automatic thoughts social and otherwise and the automatic reaction my brain has to them which are reliant on underlying empathic processes that are also informing my sense of self awareness. This means that It is better to be empathically aware of your self and otherwise rather than try to be aware as that’ll make you even more self-aware than just focusing on self-awareness alone anyway as empathy is a multidimensional process, it’s inclusive of you and others. Don’t get caught in a knot about societies ideas like “the empath” or whatever, it’s all nonsense relative to what I’m sharing here, I’m talking about helping you understand how you can take control of the subtlest feedback loops that literally create your existential reality from the bottom up the deeper you go here, which is why I want to emphasise the employment of this process in as many creative ways possible so that you can see for yourself and begin to take control accordingly. Begin to view your phone, desk, house, in a way where you’re employing your ability to empathically mentalize the world from the perspective of everything around you and this is going to automatically teach you more and more how to take in the perspective of everything around you and because you’re getting so much practice here you’ll more and more be able to generate increasingly more accurate and in depth perspective on what you’re viewing in the world and how it came to be. If you can employ this empathic mentalisation in solving an IQ test, then you’ll be able to apply it to anything. Think of the patterns that an IQ test often has on them, imagine the patterns from the perspective of your empathic imagination and to the extent you’re able to, this will indirectly raise your self-awareness as well.

    You're too good of a soul, my friend, I wasn't being very empathetic when I didn't realize why you were so hesitant to put anyone in a position like that after being fxcked over so many times, especially when I even thought to myself how disgusting it was to see those dudes drop you completely and jump ship at the first sign of bad weather, true fairweather 'friends'.
    As AT said, betrayal amongst men is the ultimate sin, and completely unforgivable from a universal sentiment deep inside the soul.
    They say if you can count the amount of true friends on one hand at the end of your life, that you've truly achieved the aim of friendship, you have a solid 5, forsure, it seems to me from this end.
    Without the deadweight, you've soared spiritually, and success wise too, so fxck 'em, we see how most of them are doing nowadays.
    Gotta embrace lower and higher motives, as you always say.

      @@OwenCookSelfHelp It’s funny that you gave suggestions what you do in this situation. But actual drs don’t say much. @@JackNiles So I'm not a doctor and would NEVER give medical advice. You need to get that from your doctor. It would be illegal for me to give you advice on your health. I am simply giving you what I ANECDOTALLY and SUBJECTIVELY experience is helpful for me. So what I do, is basically ask myself the question "How can I load myself with SO MUCH VITALITY" that there is a "cup runneth over" of health? That's the key question. I got the idea from the Dragon Herbs website. where they said the ancient Chinese would focus on PROACTIVE health, rather than REACTIVE health. Obviously with what you have going on, that's somewhat reactive. But still, that is what I would personally do: focus on just this massive massive overwhelm of total vitality. So I'd study study study how to do that. Read everything. Perhaps if you do this. you'll eventually beat the current situation, AND live DECADES LONGER. Perhaps it is even GOD'S PLAN for you to do this., to have extra decades, and do something important. And God knows you wouldn't take it seriously without this situation you need to beat -Owen
