And I saw an interview with Bo that busted the depressive breakdown narrative. He basically said not to look into the Kanye rant as deeply as some people have.
@@jaceeaster2246 I think their talking about the pringles thing and the burrito thing, the parts after that were obviously serious about how the pressure is suffocating and how he feels about his fans about loving hating fearing etc.
Whenever that "Now get inside" line hits I get chills and goose bumps every time. I hope you react to the full special someday all the songs together is spectacular and all comes together in the end of the show.
Of all the people that did reactions to this song, you’re the first to get most of this right in my opinion. Like you saw that it was way deeper than it sounded. Like people knew him as quirky funny song guy, but he was having panic attacks, so when he says “we’re going to go where everybody knows” I feel like it’s him saying “fine this is what you want right?”
Kanye Rant is right before he left for the five years. The emotion is very telling in that one as to why. Comedy and Goodbye are awesome from Inside. I think you should go in order of release on his YT channel in order to get a real good feel for Bo. His Repeat Stuff video is a glimpse into his clever genius! Also Art is Dead identifies how self aware he is as a person. In date order of release is best though!
Oh I thought you've already seen "Kanye Rant". If not, this is harder to understand. That being said, "All eyes on me" was my first introduction to Bo. From that perspective, I did not expect anything - I did not know he was a comedian, or that he'd been on a 5 year break, NOTHING. So, what I got from this was just pure emotion, and the next one I did was the Kanye Rant (Can't handle this).. and man that BROKE me. So, I did it backwards, and maybe that is a good way to go. But, that most definitely needs to be the next reaction to Bo from you. Because these two performances connect.
There’s a duality to Bo as an artist/performer- a lot paradoxes that exists that I think are expressed in a lot his work, including this piece. The performance he quit for a while after, the “Kanye Rant”, is an intriguing watch. Can’t go wrong with most Bo performances though. ~_~
This one is definitely understood best in the context of the special. If at all possible, I'd love to see a full-length reaction to Inside on your Patreon and then you can always cut it into chunks for RUclips. If you keep doing them piecemeal, I suggest doing Comedy and Goodbye back to back because one is sort of the intro and one is the conclusion and they made great bookends to the special. But definitely do the Kanye Rant next.
His song "Can't Handle This (Kanye Rant)" is from his last performance on his last tour, 5 years earlier. You can see him starting to lose his shit towards the end.
I think if you appreciate what you have thus far have seen, you see Bo from his start() HS: My whole family. Right up to present. If you want to see someone extremely clever and intelligent. Great singer , composer. He rejected Harvard. t
Do the Kanye rant before the memory of this one fades.
And yeah, he won a Grammy for All Eyes on Me ("best song written for visual media" category).
i agree. critical
Yes, but make sure to pay close attention to the words. Absolute legend.

Watching inside in its entirety in the mind frame of COVID lockdowns hits different.
I had to pause twice to cry
It still makes me cry. "Got it? Good! Now get inside!"
The birthday scene was heartbreaking.
A well deserved Grammy. Makes me cry just thinking about it out it.

Pandemic art fascinates me. The entire "INSIDE" special and "BE" by BTS are actually two of my favorite works of art to come out of the pandemic tbh
watch the whole special front to back, this piece is part of a whole
Bo Burnham is an underrated genius

Need more Bo
We're going to go where everybody knows everybody.... welcome to the internet
He talks about heaven a lot, and going to a place where everybody knows everybody, and depression. The man's a genius. I hope he's doing well.
Watching the whole bo burham netflix special, during the pandemic just hits different
Thanks for the introduction! 💜💜💜

Definitely check out the Kanye rant. You'll get context, plus it's amazing.
It’s a sad love letter to performing live, i think
