They kinda made that already. Plane crashes into the ocean, shark gets onto plane. Be more interesting if the sharks somehow got onto the plane while it was still in the air, but that wouldn’t be realistic, and you know how they love to maintain realism in shark movies.

Reminds me a little bit of a book I have & read! It was called White Shark! Not promoting it, but a creature inside a old submarine, that was the subject of an experiment...!
That was written by Peter Benchley. It was adapted for tv in the early 90s. It was called “Peter Benchley’s Creature”. It’s been released on Blu-Ray in the last decade. They made changes to the story including the country of origin for the beast.
Why can no one make a good horror shark movie. This is a perfect setting. Show less of the cgi shark, hire actors who dont act like theyre my tree stumps outside. Christ

Jaws was obviously the 🦈🦈Shark🦈🦈 movie that set the bar really high. Not seeing the 🦈Shark🦈 aka "Bruce" was a happy accident. Add John Williams legendary 🎶 🎵 and Jaws was born. A Excellent cast, brilliant writing, and amazing characters. Jaws was as close to perfect as you could get. Jaws 2, Jaws 3-D, and Jaws 4: The Revenge weren't even remotely close to the original movie. Deep Blue Sea wasn't bad. The special effects were not too, well they were kind of crappy. I still liked it enough to have seen it and bought the DVD. Now those B-Movies like Sharknado? Those are parodies and goofy. The Meg had potential and it was good. I haven't seen the Meg 2 yet, so I can't comment on that one yet. If done right a 🦈Shark🦈 movie can be extremely brutal and scary. If the special effects are overused they can end up looking corny and goofy.

You think with all we know about sharks these days, they’d stop making these kinds of movies. This isn’t 1975.

I wish they’d take the lead from the OG shark movie, Jaws, and create more suspense without the CG. Because even though the shark effects from the ‘75 film are laughable now, they build up terror still stands to this day.
Most shark movie makers all make the same mistake, the sharks move like a cgi flash shark. Movement is everything, and when you mix in bad cgi, well, it makes for a typical 3.5-4.5 rating on IMDB.

Why does Hollywood think people want to watch movies about sharks which are 10 times the size they need to be (MEG), or have hyper intelligence (Deep Blue Sea), or fly through the sky (Sharknado)… Keep it realistic FFS and it will be a box office hit (The Shallows + Jaws).
