If you want a simpler version of that "vintage" effect (which is really a light glow effect), you can get the blur brush, lower the opacity, and there u go.

Actually in the reference window while it won't turn into a colorpallet you can still use the eyedrop tool to pick colors from your reference. Atleast thats what I remember from using Ibispaintx.
1:26 you can also just color white over it, ig it’s faster but like, you can just find like one color that will fit over the spec or just find the layer it can’t take that long

IBIS paint DOES have a pallet picker (kind of) If you go to settings and turn on "Reference Window" you can load an image separate to the canvas, in which the eyedropper tool works Allowing you to be able to steal the palette 😈
1:08 - There's an alternate way to erase errors without messing with your background. I don't know how Ibis allowed this, but: 1) Put all of your layers EXCEPT any background elements in one group. (Honestly, just... get into the habit of grouping layers. Saves you some trouble.) 2) Lasso around the error while your group is selected. 3) Tap that button with the box in the broken lines. That's actually your Select menu. Now tap Clear Layer, and it clears whatever you selected within that group - but because your BG isn't in it, it's safe. Done.

Just for this beginning segment I would like to pop in and say, this is what seems to be a vector lineart, creating a point and having the computer decide where the lines go based on your instructions. Illustrator is a very popular tool for this kind of work BUT, that is a LOT of points you're putting there buddy, you're gonna give a printshop an aneurism. I'm unsure how it works in ibis but I suggest looking into illustrator techniques for anyone interested in vector lineart. maybe use a curve tool every once in a while, just a thought. Reasons to learn to use vectors - never resize and make your image pixilated and uggy again -one of the few times you can just use a mouse - images are easily adjustable and you don't gotta do the quick pace delete redraw the same line over and over thingy. - it would make me happy

@@weirdtoe1682 ok so im not the best at explaining but ill try! 1 - screen shot the qr code photo 2 - go into ibis and go into brushes 3 - there should be three dots in the top corner, press on it 4 - it will give you the option to import or export, choose import. 5 - it will ask you to select a photo, select the qr code one 6 - and boom ur done! if this isnt detailed enough you could watch a 2 min tutorial on youtube!
also, this is how to make is follow the rotation so go to settings of the brush and scroll until you see a button called “following rotation” and click it and just start drawing lol

For getting rid of random splotches on the side and you can't find the layer, I have everything in a folder so i can select the folder and erase it
