Was looking for basic dj tips but didn't except to find out the Maestro itself, Plastician! Lucky me :D
plastician the legend!
Nicely explained
Excellent helped so much
you can hear that the sync button does kinda work, but I would have pushed the track coming in ever so slightly forward
amazing setup and nice tutorial, very professional!
Have you ever had Rekordbox misanalyze the BPM? I had a flop of a performance on my first set with CDJ's llive. Both were saying they were at 128.0 bpm and I would get them perfectly beatmatched but after a few beats they'd fall out of sync
rehearse your sets ;)
@@ssneg eww
You need to learn to beat match by ear
You need to listen to your content before you use it live. Softwares will analyze tracks in the wrong way, so very often. You should trust yourself to make the arrangements necessary (yes, you can fix the track)
That’s quite common. Just adjust the beat grid in rekordbox on that track. I play jungle/drum and bass and this is a constant nightmare. Easily fixed though
LEARNED something very Important😀😀😀 GREETINGS from CABO VERDE ISLANDS🤩🤩🤩
guys i still dont get it please help mee
Something I deal with is resetting the bpm after a sync when the temp slider is off
Once you turn off sync you just need to adjust the tempo slider back to the songs original bpm and then it will reset to its actual bpm. You want to do this when only that song is playing and the other song has been brought out completely.
Great explanation of what you’re doing but when you brought in the second song using sync it was not on beat. You can hear the lows clashing.
yea, I hear that little flaming too but a cool tut
thats because he didnt cut out any lows from both songs wich is pretty important
You need to analyse tracks in rekordbox, manually adjust the beat grids, and then export from rekordbox to USB to fix this. If you are using sync and your tunes are clashing, the beat grids haven't been automatically detected correctly and need manual adjustment.
Track Id on left track please?

Get 1200s and learn on vinyl to be bulletproof!
You didnt use your ears in the first mix. You used your eyes. You still looked at the screens to make sure the bpm was the same and then also looked at the screen to make sure the kick drums were synced. Might aswell call this cheating
Hahhahaahha is this an exam???
@@hamza1517 he's absolutely spot on. This chap has given a tutorial on using your ears to beatmatch and ESB is absolutely right - he's used his eyes not his ears. You've obviously never DJ'd in your life when you've not had a digital counter in front of you or an app like rekordbox to set your BPM for you. In the old days it was about using your EARS - that was the skill?@?
spot on
Came here for this comment. Facts!
You know what ? In this day and age, who cares. Yeah it's obviously nice to learn how to beat match and BPM match by ear in case you have to mix on old gear, but using available technology to beatmatch with your eyes is not a crime, let's not be snobs about it
No skills needed like on vinyl
Sad to see that this should be different. I’m 23, djing for 7 Years and I’m thankful to learn how to DJ on vinyl for 3 years. This is trash and only doable with technology. It’s about the music. … to new DJs: (you don’t have to use vinyl) but please look it up, so you can learn real beatmatching
🎯🎯🎯
Hahaha the goal is to create a good set. Half assing it or not won’t matter that much ;))
absolutely nobody mixes like this 🫠
