Sorry, I've been out of the UK for 12 years and I'm mostly surrounded by American-English. Plus 60% of my audience are Americans so my brain just automatically goes there now. I know my Mum would slap me if she heard me 😂
Trails through daybreak was my first trails game. I love that game it was so awesome I can't wait for the second one. I even went out and bought the Cold steel 3 and 4 double pack on PS5 and I also bought Trails into reverie on PS5 as well
Wow, it will be a big year, and that’s not even counting jrpg’s not announced yet! For now, I’m mostly looking forward to DQ 8& II. I have not yet broken into the Trails series, or the Attelier series, so maybe this might be my year for that.
2025 already loaded! Lunar, dragon quest and xenoblade are my top 3. Pokemon is just a bittersweet given at this point, for better or worse. Loved the vid, saving it!
The Lunar Remastered Collection and Tales of Graces f are the two I'm most looking forward to. I'll also grab Trails Through Daybreak II, as I got the first one earlier this year (but haven't played it yet). Already have Ys Memoire: the Oath in Felghana on preorder through VGP, and looking forward to that coming in early next year. I should note that I'm planning on getting all of these for the PS5 though, as unless there's some sort of censorship involved on Sony's part, I prefer to get them on the more capable hardware.
Enjoying Dragon Quest 3 HD2D at the moment and can't wait to jump into 1 & 2 when they release. I have Oath Memoire preordered because once I saw that I knew I wanted more platforming Adol figh action. Ys Origin was my first game in the series, and while I do like the newer entries there's something about this style of game that appeals to me way more. Stoked about Suikoden and Lunar, as I never played them and was on the fence about spending too much on them years ago to experience them. Glad I waited. Also looking forward to the Trails games here, as I haven't tapped into sky at all and I really enjoy Daybreak.
Super excited for Lunar, Suikoden, and Xenoblade X in particular, though a good majority of these are on my list to pre-order/purchase as I can manage with my limited budget. The ones I listed specifically, though, are guaranteed pre-orders.
I personally don't have a problem with Trail in the sky new art direction. I think the game can use a refresh. I just beat Sky FC last year and it was great. Before starting SC I saw the rumor for this series being remade and I would love to get the trophies for this. I waited so long to get into the franchise I kind of don't want to start now without SC and Third getting remade.
They can remake Dragon Quest 1 as a standalone game, but, most modern audiences would feel scammed or short-changed. It's a simpler game, from a simpler time - and the 'father' of basically most modern JRPGs...but you kind of have to package it with something else, if you're going to try and squeeze $40 to $60 from a customer for it - even if remade in snazzy HD-2D graphics.
Totally cait wait for suikoden's remaster. Still have the original release of 1-2 on ps1, 3-5 on ps2. Hoping they will remaster the rest. Especially 3 for the save transfer from 2 to 3. Lunar I'm less enthused about. I already got the working designs version on PS1, and then the port on PSP. I'm not too enthused about buying it a 3rd time.
Can't say I'm excited for any of them, some of them have to prove 1st that they are uncensored, a few I already own in some version and don't feel the need to rebuy and the rest are from companies I simply don't give money to anymore.I already see myself decreasing the amount of new releases I buy in 2025 even more than I already did this year.
There is a lot of great stuff releasing, one thing that really annoys me though are the ps4 versions skipping america but releasing elsewhere. Doing that makes zero since when there is still a large userbase on ps4, guess I'll be importing a few of the games.
I already pre ordered suikoden for now since i stretched my wallet too far on black friday and bought from play asia and amazon like theres no tomorrow 😭

I don't understand the confusion you are having with Lunar. Just play Lunar then Lunar 2(which happens 100 years or so after Lunar) in order. Was hoping to get a actual release date for the physical version.
@@PhysicalParadise At the end of the day they will give us whatever the latest version they can come up with. Probably a slightly upgraded version of what they put on mobile which looks pretty good from what I've seen.
Wanted to like this but after talking shit about Trails in the Sky remake, I just cannot. Dude, original is good but not better looking from what they showed now. Artstyle is superb! Also Suikoden matters but Trails do as well. Maybe you will talk more about it after you play it one day.

7 or 8 of these I'll be hoping to get on PS5 rather than Switch. I'm still not entirely convinced that Rune Factory and Trails in the Sky will look that great on Switch. And I know they won't be for Atelier and Phantom Brave. I can't decide if I'm more excited for Suikoden or Lunar. It's good to be a JRPG fan.
I will be picking them up on PS as well. I like to get all the games from certain franchises on the same platform(Like Atelier) I wish the xenoblade games made it to PS they would look truly incredible and play so well.

Death end request games have the best turn based combat I’ve ever played. The pinball type mechanic is so satisfying.
