  • Normal student by day, Tetris master by night, Phuc has defeated many strong opponents to become the reigning champion of the Esport 247 Vietnam Tetris Tournament 2020. After playing Tetris for countless hours, he began to recognize patterns better. It started with Tetris, but soon, the pattern recognition skill translated into his real-life situations especially in his love relationship. Phuc is here to talk about how a simple puzzle game like Tetris can improve a relationship and how it can improve pattern recognition control in life.
Normal student by day, Tetris master by night, Phuc has defeated many strong opponents to become the reigning champion of the Esport 247 Vietnam Tetris Tournament 2020.
After experiencing Tetris for some time, his brain began to recognize patterns better. It started out with Tetris, but soon, pattern recognition skill translated into his real life. Notably, he has utilized this skill to master the guitar and run the FTU Guitar Club as the 2018 vice president.
Coming to TEDxHanoi, Phuc wants to share how a simple puzzle game can assist you in real-life problem-solving. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I'm sadly to share that Jonas Neubauer, the 7 times Classic Tetris World Champion has passed away on Jan 4.
Not just a master of the game, Jonas was an amazing figure in the Tetris community and has inspired many people, myself included. Without him, this speech wouldn't be possible as he was the reason I started playing Tetris in the first place.
I would like to dedicate this Tedx talk to Jonas. May you rest in peace, my hero.

The saying good recognizes good and bad recognizes bad seems kinda more true now.
Especially at 6:20, I got reminded of a chapter in one of Mark Manson books, in which he was talking about the blue dot effect. It's kinda similar to this negative pattern you talked about.
Thanks for reminding and help me also learn new things. I really enjoyed!
