I agree with Leroy 1000% on how the producers sat by and allowed it. Camila is a good competitor but there’s plenty of people that would’ve taken her place and not been nearly as problematic. Every season she was on she had a blow up or meltdown over something small or game related. She literally went on a whole Rampage more than once just over being voted into elimination. & she did the same thing when her sister got voted in as well.

    I think every black person can recall a moment when they felt alone like Leroy did when something of that magnitude happens and it gets ignored. I was just wishing that he had another black person there to understand what happened. MTV is not for black people and they made that clear from the beginning. MTV forces diversity right in front of the viewing audience by having just enough black people on every show. The sad part is that even white people who try to support you don't really lose sleep over racism. It will never be urgent to white people. White people applaud black people for "handling it well" ..who tf complements someone on how they mask their hurt.

    Even before Kam & Leroy got together they were my faves from day 1. They have the most heart & loyalty to their friends. They've never once said some shit that exposes poor character. Not once. They're the King & Queen of the Challenge forever & ever just on character alone❤ Glad Leroy has stood up for himself & that MTV has since left Camila off the show, although it should have happened wayy sooner. Idk how she lives with herself fr

    I fully agree with Lee n don’t doubt his feelings or the time he spent sour about it bc it was atrocious behavior by Camilla, the people around Lee that said nothing in his defense and MTV for keeping Camila around and not being there for Leroy BUT all I hear when Leroy speaks anymore is Kam. I’m glad he’s happy and she clearly loves him but don’t change Leroy please Kam. He’s not you.

    They should be firing these people! There’s someone every season that have publicly made Racist remarks either before, during, or after The Challenge. They shouldn’t be on the show because Racism shouldn’t be excepted. Why would you think it okay to keep these people around? They don’t apologize till they are expose or till they could possibly lose something. If this was a Black person they would of thrown them out! These non Black people aren’t actually sorry for their crimes. Done with The Challenge.

    I’m all for Leroy speaking on the issue etc Leroy even said live when It happened that he forgave Camila and knows that she not racist at all . Now Leroy calls Camilia out for what she done etc . Why not just say when it happened that she should be kicked off the show that should’ve been his main comment.

  • @sethtaut7498
    @sethtaut7498 Год назад +3

    Okay
    1. I am following this angelcake guy who does his homework, turns out this is not the first time that Camilla has done something racially insensitive, and the fact that she still stayed on the show thereafter to commit the second one with Leroy speaks volumes about MTV
    2. The real reason why she stayed is because she is drama incarnate. As we've seen from the entire show in specific characters were virtually useless the drama started of the ones who stay because they start drama which sells.
    Drama mamas- Camila Josh Amanda Shane, Ashley, kailah
    Let's be honest the boring passive people don't stay very long -ninja, big t, Joss, arguably you
    You lot don't go around act like an ass, so you're not as profitable
    3. In that, you are not necessarily a stereotypical black man by standing up for yourself. the real reason she went after you is because you know you was going to do nothing to her, physically anyway- as a guy AND has a black guy. Everyone else in that room will she has a genuine issue with (bananas and Tony) she went after you. Not just because you're black but because you're you. Granted you let her hang yourself but as you can see it didn't mean anything in the end of the season -she won. So we have to start promoting that abuse racially or genderly is not okay and that it is okay to defend yourself -maybe not physically but damn sure in an arguing fashion or something- to prevent this in the future.

    @MTV This was an Epic Fail on your part, producers and T.J.’s part. This is your leadership and you ALL FAILED!!! Leroy had to be his own advocate and stand alone on an island. You will never know how this trauma follows us thru out the years when we are violated this way. All u offered him was therapy? You guys are the ones that need therapy and insensitivity training. Shame on you for allowing Camilla to continue. If the show was on the other foot I’m certain you would’ve escorted him out the door and addressed it with the group!! This just shows where your “love” n “loyalty” is placed. Sure hope you made some changes so no one else, regardless of sex or race, will have to live with this trauma.

If I was there I would have had his back, 10 toes on business. But this is how MTV sets it up. They been doing this from the start and have the never to fake a$$ PSA at beginning of shows. Didn't he come back?
    And Camila was encouraged to do these rants where she said the most horrible things to people.
    Remember her treatment of Eric in Battle of the Seasons where she belittled him over his weight and red hair?
    Or when she took to mocking Amanda over her freckles and pale skin?
    So why was anyone surprised when she went after Leroy over his skin color?
    Production AND the cast encouraged this behavior. They gave her the "Camilanator" edit anytime she went on a drunken tirade.

Johnny Bananas still is friends with them. Plus Bananas ripped off Janelle's top after her telling him to stop...no punishment. And he tried to get into the tub with her on the Challenge though she "no" repeatedly. Where was production to make those women safe? And Why are people still friends with Johnny?

    i understand what hes saying but as a fellow black american , you should've made your stand then and there. She ended up winning that season showing you where MTV and the production stood. Basically NO ONE stood up for you , even at the reunion it was just to save ass. You stayed and rubbed elbows with multiple of these people ( some who probably said worse about you than Camilla). If you're the 'nicest guy ever' where was the protection? You were ok with being the Token black guy , you were okay with being the " im not like other black people , im not the stereotype' until it bit you in the ass and they showed you what they really thought . Oh well you didnt walk that season you stayed .... now you're complaining? Money was worth more that your pride and justice? hmmmm nor did you walk with the Fried Chicken incident ....lets stop you were okay with the blatant racism until it didnt benefit you anymore...

I mostly agree with you, but he probably had time to reflect by thinking it wasn't worth returning back to a racist production to loose his dignity. However, I see your point where he could have brokeb the color barriee (by saying racism wont be tolerated where there will be consequences for these unacceptable actions) by proving Camila wrong in finally winning the big one, no matter long it takes. God Bless.

    MTV been on that BS from Real World to the Challenge regarding race. Leroy was the homie and I wished he could have won that one, but with that being said I wish he would have spoke on this so folks couldnt say it seems opportunistic but at least he owned up to what he could have did differently. I honestly stopped watching the challenge after that season because of that incident.       MTV stopped being Music Television ever since they included reality shows like “Are You the One”, “Ex on the Beach”, ”The Real World”, the first 2 shows I mentioned;
      1 A. You don’t need to matchmaking experts to help build or make a relationship let alone give them a chance to win money
      B. “Ex on The Beach” was toxic from the start you got celebrities who are trying to start new relationships and then they decided to bring their exes?!?! Not only was that going to be bad but it was like the former MTV show “the X effect” but it emphasized closure more constantly
      2 “The Real World” and “The Challenge” it was just horrible mostly because of the “Dirty 30” ever since Camila been on “The Challenge” she can be the victim all she wants but I know and I’m sure Everyone else never forget that She should have sent home and not only that but she won the challenge.
      WTF?!?! MTV hasn’t been able to help Leroy at all!!! I’m actually disgusted that she abused her privilege for being racist and won?!?! Wtf?!?! They didn’t do a damn thing seriously I would’ve sued them for negligence or something but Camila is a horrible human being that is A WASTE OF LIFE SHE IS DISGUSTING!!! and I don’t know why MTV has yet to do anything to change their methods
      Honestly MTV should looked at the footage and see for themselves why they failed MTV
      like Leroy said they dropped the ball and now it’s like they don’t care at all

    Just to play Devil's Advocate, maybe production thought it was an important thing to let play out as much as they could without intervention from them. Honestly it was an important moment in challenge history and in reality TV history. It was an important moment for people to see happen. Judging by how I see certain people express their views, a lot of people think that racism is over exaggerated. It's moments like this that show how racism can show its ugly face at any time
