Rhossili bay & Worms Head | the best place to watch sunset on the Gower Peninsula

  • An afternoon an evening spent exploring the super model of british Beaches, Rhossili Bay. Followed by watching the Sunset at the cliffs overlooking Worms head, a one mile long sea serpent shaped tidal island, which marks the most westerly point on the Gower Peninsula.

    I initially headed up to Rhossili Downs, which at 193 m is the highest point on the Gower. I t is a is a 1km walk from the National Trust car park to the trig point which involves around 150m of elevation gain.
    From the downs I headed straight down to the shoreline for a swim, before watching the sunset from the dramatic sea cliffs which flank the beach. .
