Awww thanks! And I get it, Runick is a pretty mainstream archetype, but that's sorta how the game has gone recently where there's a few very splashable themes to improve your deck.
Icebarrier the most awesome deck that never did much... still amazing artwork and extradeck..wished they kept the synchros in check with icebarrier tuners at the time of release.
To be fair, IB at release couldn't really summon their Synchro monsters, even if you wanted to. Heck, when they released they couldn't even make Brionac or Dewlorean with the monsters they had in archetype. It took until they got Pilgrm in HA2 to do so. Their SD fixed some of the issues with summoning their ED monsters, but this last set makes it worthwhile and effective to Synchro Summon via IB.
My favourite thing about Runick in this deck is the ability to play deep sea prima donna. Been really liking playing the level 1 flood gate turtle to summon from deck
Prima Donna was one of the toughest cuts that I did, and that was to include the lv9 Runick Fusion. While the turtle is cute and all, I think it's ability to pull your essential IBs from the deck is even more important. The one downside was the struggle to make it as a Level 7 over smth like Coral Dragon at level 6, as the extra draw seemed more helpful to me versus an extra WATER special summon.
i have a question, i searched up mirror magic master effect and from what i see it locked you into water synchros for the entire turn whereas when i see combos it looks like it functions as if it locks you into water synchros "for the rest of the turn", was the maybe changed or maybe what i saw was i mistranslation?
Honestly, Resonator already have that with Red Rising Dragon. Sure, it isn't in the main deck, but it fills that role. It would just be great to me if Resonator got more ways to protect their plays from disruption. They have the bosses,, they have consistency, they just need a tad more protection
Gravity Collapse is cool in concept, but I'd bet it doesn't happen too often that your opponent Special Summons first then is able to break your board, versus the times they cant fully break your board with the 2 summons from Lancea. Plus, none of the Synchros trigger an effect when Special Summoned, only Synchro Summoned. And yes, the Majespecter duel was awesome!!!
I'm not a huge fan of Medium. Most archetypes right now don't have a S/T that searches another S/T that is their out. So if they have an S/T out, medium won't stop them. If they have a monster out, Raiho is your guy.
@@YGOrganizationQuincymccoy while the meta is shifting it still has decent value especially when paired with raioh and icejades protection. If the opponent needs to break board they have to burn their one bridge especially decks like purrely and SS or match ups like runick mirror
Hexa I'm a bit intrigued by. I think I see the combo for a Crocodragon drawing 3, but not necessarily 4 like the standard IB combo. And definitely love your thoughts, when I build IB again, I want it to be even better!
As much as I'm not a fan of Runick, you did a bang up good job with facilitating the playstyle of Ice Barrier.

This is looking pretty good
If it wasn't a Runick hybrid, I'd suggest ending on Spellbreaker
Definitely looking good. And Spellbreaker is definitely an option for non-Runick builds, 100% agree!

@@YGOrganizationQuincymccoytrue, but i think artwork and lore wise they've been pretty cool
semi lockdown ice barrier runick, you might want to put synchro zone for it. since you're heavy on synchro summon.

@@YGOrganizationQuincymccoy did not realize turtle worked both ways. Have since switched over to barrier statue and that works a little better

I can only hope resonators get a non tuner that had the same effect of this new swordsman.
This mix is very intriguing. I cant wait to try it.

-That level 10 is so easy to summon plus that it summons other synchro monsters make Gravity Collapse really useful.
-Cool duel against Majesoecters.

If your gonna cut Spellbreaker and warlock for runick, add Medium so they get locked to 1 S/T a turn

Also I suggest at least 1 hexa. It's one of the few 1 card starters that can bare minimum get you a draw 4 into the runick engine
