From the videos I've seen, this one actually sound warmer. The reason I have never seriously considered Taylor guitars is because they are usually on the brighter side, with not much bass. This one still seems to have that Taylor signature brightness, but with a little more on the lower end.
Great review! Wanting to purchase an AD27 But when I tried it I feel my strumming arm gets a bit sweaty when playing and rubbing up against the wood. Do you feel this will cause an issue or wear faster in the long run of use? I'm sure it's well built but it's the only thing holding me back from calling and buying. Otherwise I love the feel and sound.
Played this guitar while waiting for my 114e gets worked on by the store luthier. All I can say is that the AD27 really sounds amazing. Can't say it's cheap though, especially so during times like this. It still costs more than twice my trusted 114. Sure it's US and not Mexican made but still... Having said that I still want one anyway, perhaps one of these days.
@@EmpireMusicPgh I drove out of town and went to Boyce Park and ate a lunch then walked around the hill there with my dog. It was nice. Then drove to my pick up my food at my two farms on the way home. When I got home I had just enough time to soak in a hot tub for a few minutes before my friend came over and we played the new guitar together with the Taylor Academy A10 Dreadnaught. They sound great together! It was a perfect end to the day!
@@EmpireMusicPgh I drove all the way to Pittsburg, partly because there were no AD27s in the area, and I wanted it immediately, but also because I believe in supporting those who do things well. Your video is excellent and answered all of my questions about this guitar in a way that a novice like me could understand. I can tell you really care about what you do and I wanted to support that and meet you in person. I also just got a new used car and had been wanting to take a road trip. So glad I did!
in the beginning when he was playing chords i can hear buzzing overtones I have the same problem with my 214ce koa. must be a taylor thing , nice looking guitar though.
American Dream... Not for me, I'm dreaming of getting my job back! This is Taylor's guitar for hard times? Sure, I'm going to drop a grand on a guitar now, in the middle of a depression?!

I own this guitar and i absolutely love it
I just got mine a couple days ago and I'm almost giddy..proud to own the American dream..
Sounds fantastic. I’m really torn between this one or the black top version.
Very thorough review,! It sounds very full and warm, i’m definitely considering getting one of these. And it doesn’t hurt that it looks really cool.
I like it very much but is it going to hurt my shoulder as I have a permanent injury
I really liked this review! That’s how it is done. Love this guitar too!

Love it! Such a great sound!
Thanks for the demo. I’m hoping this guitar will be the big brother my GS mini mahogany always wanted.
Thanks man. I absolutely love it
So what you’re saying is Taylor doesn’t send products out that are perfect? They all have to be set up. Very concerning in my decision making process.
Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU.
Great job thanks! I'm buying it!

Hmmm. Have they thought about this as a 12 feet? Sounds good, like a Taylor should. Or ought.

@@El_Goose28 Sure... And it's "my" money that's staying in "my" pocket.
@@El_Goose28 Maybe Taylor should price their guitars more reasonably than.
