Hey Guys, Been thinking of you guys! All of you guys! I know you’ve had a lot going on! I just wanted to ty for all you do on your channels. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Kisses & hugs to the new bundle & Lil Ms. Kennedy. C u in the new year and rest when you can!!!💜
I could not tell you how many times I have went down this road and in the surrounding areas, see I lived not far from there in my childhood home.....great work guys, love ya all!!!!!
On my Dad’s side, the Grizzles and Hamons family lived there in the early 1800’s. EJ Sutherland wrote books about the families that lived there, they were the Counts, the Kisers, the Sutherlands, Grizzles, Hammons, Dyers, Artrips and more. Thanks for showing this, I wish it was lighter it was kinda hard to see. So sad they had to ruin the land, and still do!
Imagine my surprise when I opened a Christmas present from my son and daughter-in-law (who didn’t know I follow your channel), and found a copy of Shane’s book, Legends and Lore of East Tennessee!
I got to wandering about you two and did a Searching and I had not received notification s on the last 40 videos last one was Life in a west Virginia Coal Town!!

Happy Thanksgiving!! The pwr plant in Carbo Va is called 'Clinch River Plant' owned/operated by the Appalachian Power Company (APCO), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Electric Power. Originally a 3-unit coal fire plant, 2 units have recently been converted to solely natural gas fire producing 245 megawatts nominal each. The 3rd (coal fire) unit was retired.
Great video. I still want to buy a book from ya. I don't know if you are still offering an autographed one or not. Sorry I behind on some of your videos, life's been crazy lately but. And Id you're not I can always come by one of your book signings if ya get close enough to me. Thanks for all you two do. Happy Thanksgiving
Isn't that plant on the Clinch River and referred to "The Clinch River Plant." Carbo certainly has an unusual name. I am so excited and happy for you sweet people on the new baby. We have never met, but I feel like I have known you both for a long time though your videos. You have a special place in my heart due to your awesome videos on WV. I will never forget the one you did on Cigarette Holler. I spent Thanksgiving way up in the mountains in Tucker County, WV and thought so much about your family. I hope that you had a great one. Would love to meet you someday and take you to lunch, brunch, or dinner. I plan to purchase your book. Will you be doing any book signings? If so, where can I locate a list? I do not have any social media except RUclips and email. Thank you for this awesome video. Hope you get to feeling better Melody.

That building next to the central shop was the central lab. Pittston did not sell this to alpha is probably why it is still standing.
