Best video I’ve come across for these multi component testers. Your the first to scope it that I’ve seen. Subbed

Thanks for a great review 👏 Have you tried using it for in circuit testing? I'm most interested in quickly checking electrolytic capacitors in a board (eg a psu) without needing to remove them first.

Late to the party 5/24. Ali-Ex had the TC-1 (looks the same) on sale too cheap to pass up this time....The Best review/ best explanation of any I've seen. I need not check any more.
    Two Thumbs up!

Danke dir für dieses ausführliche Video, habe den Tester heute ohne Manual geschickt bekommen und bin sehr froh deine Erklärungen entdeckt zu haben, somit sind alle Unklarheiten beseitigt worden, echt super!

Does this meter work on SMD component board, to find any sort of Leakage / Shortage etc. also?

T7 is costlier than TC1, please let me know the difference between the two if you know.

    Vielen Dank f
ür das Video. Joy-It sollte es eigentlich in seine WEB-Seite integrieren. Das Video ist um Zehnerpotenzen besser als das Manual

Dit you test a thyristor? The tester indicates it as a btj-npn. The one I tested is a new out of the box thyristor.

I tried it with a thyristor and it shows up as npn bjt with low current gain (hFE).

I find these things to be ok with transistors and diodes but extremely inaccurate with resistors and capacitors. Overall i don't think it's great for anything other than seeing of a component is working. You can probably ignore the data it shows tho, as you will only get accurate readings on maybe 60% of components. Not bad at all for the price, but i always double check certain components with meters just to make sure i have correct readings, especially where capacitance and resistance is concerned

    1:05 No No No !!!
    .
You do not repair electronics equipment by removing individual components and testing each device individually in a component tester.
    .
You might achieve your goal, but this method (testing individual components) is not how a professional technician would find faults.
    .
As an "electronics expert" you are expected to understand how circuits work.
    .
Your method is what you would teach a chimpanzee to do, where the reward would be a banana for repairing the fault.
    .
A "component tester" has a place in the workshop, but not to be used in the way that you use it.

You are absolutely right! It's very important that you always understand the circuit you are working on. That's not only relevant for speed but also important for safety and crucial for a long lasting repair. And of course you learn a lot by analyzing circuits. In the case that I mentioned, the board has gotten a too high voltage because of a broken power supply and I already found the damaged transistors. I only tested the others to make sure that they are still in spec and since they were socketed it was an easy way to check them. So I figured it would be a good idea to try this new component tester. But I would never recommend trying to repair something by blindly checking components for the reasons mentioned above.
