Hold your fins - the Manta Ray is back along with a squid squad! June 2024 Fish Recap

- After a month out of the water for much-needed maintenance, we were thrilled to reinstall our camera at the beginning of June. What followed was an incredible month filled with sightings we haven’t seen in a while, topped off by a truly magical sighting of a Manta Ray! But that’s not all, on the day of the annual pier cleanup (the only time divers are permitted through Dixie Divers) a squid squad made an extraterrestrial like spectacle. We also witnessed the return of the rainbow runners, rainbow parrotfish, lane snappers, cocoa damsel, mojarra, jolthead porgy, and either a reef shark or a black tip (jury is still out on that one).

That is actually a large nurse shark in murky water.
