PITTA’S concerts are unlike other rock concerts…you have to see it to believe it. The range of music and the versatility of his voice is sometimes hair-raising and renders you speechless and other times makes you cry and I’m not even at the concert when I feel these emotions. He educates one about songs and lyrics we would quite possibly never seek out and interprets them so wonderfully, it inspires you to find and study the lyrics. This time he also had even more amazing musicians like Park Daul(DAWOOL) from Cardi who plays a traditional instrument used in the Wave on the sea m/v.
I'll say it again, he's a crazy genius. He has amazing talent. And you are right. pitta is a rock singer and loves rock music the most. He is a big fan of groups like Muse and Radiohead. He has been active in rock bands since his college days, so his identity is as a rock singer. His beautiful soprano voice is beautiful and wonderful, but I love him most when he plays the guitar and sings, completely immersed in the music.❤
😂 So, I keep telling you he has been a ROCK SINGER and guitarist since University days where he studied chemical engineering. The band that he and his mates formed was called PITTA… that name chosen because it means : like a fairy pit filled with many charms…because they wanted to play different genres of music that they liked. They played rock and metal together for many years until they disbanded and he joined a work-band which won an amateur band competition in Busan. He was already singing his version of Phantom of the Opera with this band. When he had all but given up on having a career in music, in a last ditch effort he auditioned for Phantom Singer 2 and the rest is history in the making. How crazy is it that he met the other 3 in that competition…hoping to see whether he had what it took to be taken seriously by others in the industry , but ended up in a winning quartet..❤ He also launched his solo career in 2020 and resurrected the PITTA name with the blessing of his old band mates . A boyhood dream being fulfilled in front of us in real time.❤
