We got more coming! This video shows how to easily mod your Phantom 3 aircraft to make it faster and remove limitations. You need JRE installed, please install that first.

This is what worked for me on Windows 10:
If you run the tool and it tells you Python is not installed (even if you did install it), uninstall Python (or leave it - not tested), and install the Python app from Microsoft Store. (credit to Bizzob Foshizzle in the comments).
If you can't get past the flight controller (and the firmware isn't listed), open up windows cmd prompt and type "pip install pycryptodome" (without quotes). (credit to vhs opdvd in the comments).

Man you rock had few little issues with doing this with windows 11 . but awsome vid after installing python and java and doing the other installation in cmd prompt recomended got the text doc up edited all what you recomended saved file loaded it onto the drone works a treat even in 2022... Nice tut man .... if anyone else needs help i feel im somewhat a pro now .... lol .. top respect for this tut though....
can you fly above 500m?
Mine says I can adjust it to 9000, but it automaticly reset's back to 500.
@@marius800 yes I can I have changed my params to zero. A d I can go as high as I like I also tweaked the settings a little more to suit myself

IMPORTANT question : it is normal for the resulted firmware to be at this specific 884kb size ? P3A have 59.8MB size in original form....
I have the p3s. When it says "Let's open the flight controller module parameters" it doesn't find the file from the *.bin file and opens a blank note page named flyc_param_infos.txt
Its Stuck at:
Lets edit the flight controller module parameters. After you save
it will come back to this tool and finish things.

1. Install Java
2. Install latest Python version (environment variables check)
2. In command prompt type: pip install pycryptodome

Hello! I did it according to the instructions .. I did it from the twentieth time, but I did it .. I spread the whole folder. In the folder, the original firmware for Phantom 3 Advanced (version from the website DJI P3S_FW_V01.11.0020.bin) and the version with changes .. subfolders did not change, so the size is 180MB. Doesn’t work for the latest P3A firmware file, P3S_FW_V01.11.0020.bin, fails at “Select the flight controller module:” prompt. Lists no (zero) options and just sits there.
vhs opdvd nailed it, from command line run: pip install pycryptodome
if you get any errors here try "pip install --upgrade pip"

The final .bin file was much smaller than the original. (original firmware bin -> 105,832 KB). (Modded bin. -> 892KB)

You need an special app (like litchi), or this mod will work with dji go app? I try with dji go app, and i see no diference, but i don't try yet with litchi ( i not have buy this app ). Is someone with litchi who tested that if it works (for altitude limit). Thank you.

This DJI may do, but it won't satisfy you, rest assured.
Hi, I don't get an option (choice to pick) for the flight controller module. When I press 1 the batch-file will continue saying: 'Lets extract the flight controller module' and 'P3X_FW_V01.08.0080.bin: Opening for extraction'. Then after some time I get a Windows-Notepad-Prompt: 'Can't find file flyc_param_infos.txt, do you want to create a new file?'
I choose 'Yes' and save the empty file.
The Batch-file continues: 'Lets re-compile the flight controller module' and created a .bin_MODDED file.

Yes, pretty normal.
mod does not work. Same speed, same height limitations.

What version of iOS app do I need? I have iOS 13.x. How to do it? Will app enforce altitude limits? NFZ?
This changes the firmware of the drone. The app doesn’t matter the parameters are built into the drone firmware
@@OhAlvarez I updated my P3 device for 2000m. There is a DJI GO 500m limit so I can't fly higher. Can I fly higher using Litchi? My phone is İOS13 I can not install older versions.

I have a Phantom 3 Standard version with 1.9.20 firmware.
I created the file PMCAPPFw3.bin and also the modded P3C_FW_V01.09.0200.bin.
How can I overwrite the current firmware?
(There is no Bind button in the Standard version!)

After several attempts, I was able to upgrade with the modified firmware.
I copied the PMCAPPFw3.bin file to the sdcard and turned on the plane.
After a few minutes the process was complete, there was the PMCAPPFw3_updated.bin file on the sdcard.
Based on this, the update was successful.
For the flight, I am using version 4.17.0-g of Litchi.
Among the litchi settings, the height limit is still 500 m.
The plane still does not rise above 500 m.
How do I set the litchi to cross the 500 meter altitude limit?

@@weareallawesome3530 Yes, I solved it. The modified firm is on the aircraft. But in the applications (Litchi, DJI Go) the height limit of 500 m is included. That way I can't go higher. What could be the solution?

There is no firmware here, original or modified, that has permanent FCC mode, per se.
Since the phantom 3 4k updates the FW through the remote and the dji app, I am reluctant to use this. I can't find any official 4k FW v1.11.0020 to download to use this with.

Great video and link but i tried many time to do this mod with python code but i can confirm that with 1.11.20 firmware on phantom 3 advanced, you can't change anything even after many attempts and even if the file is added by updated extension before the.bin . The only way to go is to downgrade to 1.8. On my 3 adv, the 1.7 firmware make my gimbal very hot and is noisy but with the 1.8 and DjiGo 2.4.2, i flew this morning up to 1000 meters !
Tomorrow i will try with the last version of dji go to see if there is a software locking. I will try with Litchi to.

05072020 update: New high altitude record : 1500meters :) 30% batterie before landing. Works with Litchi 4.17. Never try with last version of djigo because i just read that some parameters are injected in the AC while connected. so you need to use Litchi or patched Djigo app.

I had the same problem, I installed it anyways. It still flys, but there was no change in the speeds or anything, I was really hoping for a hopped up P3S
My original .bin file was 103Mb, the modded file was 891Kb
The firmware consists of several modules. Now we have only changed the flight parameters module. Therefore, the size is 892Kb instead of 105,832 MB and should therefore be renamed to PMCAPPFw3.bin. During the upgrade, only part of the flight parameters of the firmware will be overwritten.
