You can say hello on social at / davidresau and here is an easy way to find the APP PASSWORDS section: myaccount.goog...
First, locate the IP address for your printer by pressing the home button, then the WiFi signal icon, and network settings.
Then type in the IPv4 address shown on the printer into a Google search bar.
Watch the video closely and in less than 5 minutes, you will be able to scan a document and send it to your email securely.

The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
You are my hero! I have been WFH and my IT department could not even figure this out. It is a game changer and one of the most common issues I see on HP Printer questions ever since Google required 2-Step Authentication.

Great explanation of the process. You might add that with an updated version of Google that the app password selection is at the bottom of the 2 step verification setting.

Finally I found the solution...In server authentication,,, we need to fill user name is email ID and password need to be generated from app password from google.... Thank you... super like.

Great, thank you! It works.. One update, in 2023 the windows security menu doesn not show "App Passwords", so one has to search for it on the text bar at the top.
In Swedish: Search for "applösenord".

Man, that was a great tutorial on how to do it! I had looked elsewhere but never did it till google just discontinued the Less Secure App Acces completely as of may 30, 2022. Your solution worked like a charm. I was concerned with giving it the name HP Printer because I didn't think it would be able to relate it to my printer, but it worked! Thanks a million! Sorry to say that HP has spent the time to advertise this solution that is so perfect.

I also had the same thing, my gmail didn't have the APP password for me to select. Thank you for your comment and I was able to solve it by did a search!! thank you both!!
Thank's David, now it works also with my Kyocera Ecosys M6535. I replaced the smtp password in the E-Mail settings with the generated password from Google. Thank you for finding out this trick. :)
