Hey Dominique The Professional truck driver. I watch your videos for some time now, I like it when you and your old man or at the auctions enjoy those. But to the point don't be so hard on yourself I understand how you feel your young but you're a seasoned driver. We're all only human we make mistakes and that's a given, and you learn from it. And don't be ashamed of what you done but back into the vehicle, I still have the utmost respect for you as a damn good truck driver. As a Colorado log hauler I can relate. I've had my share of accidents and screw-ups, even a layover turnover, felt so bad I just want to crawl in a hole and hide haha LOL. I got a lot of respect for you and the owner-operator It's A Hard Road and you seem to be making it work. And you no injury or death in your accident that's a good outcome hang in there and the best of luck looking forward to more videos God bless you and yours
Hey you know I don't live in America, I am in the UK, I used to own an old ford fiesta mark 6 Zetec from 2003, was my first car and I loved it to bits, I remember pulling into the petrol station one day to buy fuel, so I filled up and noticed someone had parked in front of me in the first pump bay, someone comes in behind me a little close and is waiting to fill up, I could have waited for the car to go in front as it was a tight exit to turn my front wheels at full lock, but I didn't and I was a little stressed out about me being boxed in, I didn't think really, tried to edge out and I caught the cars back bumper with my front bumper, I felt such an idiot and I felt so bad, I said I am so sorry for doing that do you want my insurance details, I got out and looked and said I haven't done anything else have I? Oh why did I do that, he could see I was so upset and that I had done more damage to my front bumper instead of his back one, he said as you are such a nice person and you didn't mean to do this etc, I think a bit of T-cut should get rid of that little scratch, I said are you sure about this, he said yes it is fine you go on ahead, I got in and waved to him with a down look on my face, I felt relieved but still felt so down, you are right these things happen, we aren't perfect and even though it was a few years ago now and I have a new car, I still managed to curb my lovely penta wheel 😣 on my new car, the fact that you delt with it calmly and was willing to help out shows pure honestly, a really good person and a really good driver, we learn but it happens, you are right and I completely agree no one can go about their life not doing something to their vehicle, or other people's vehicles by accident, but that fact we deal with it and are willing to help, makes all that important difference, I can relate to you I really can. Though I never did get rid of that mark on the side of the bumper haha, but it was a reminder to me to wait next time if it's tight 🤣 or get out and look my dad would say. Thank you for sharing, and I am always willing to share too.
You gained my respect you are genuine real honest respectful the vulnerability you showed while telling that story was amazing and took a lot of courage and you’re totally right nobody’s perfect we all make mistakes mistakes but when we own up to them makes all the difference in the world
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver In the larger City near me (Calgary) People hit Pedestrians and leave, what you did is no big deal. You owned up to your mistake. You are fine. A Driver hit my Brother and left too. My Brother hauls a Super-B full of Butane that is used to thin the oil down in the Pipeline going south, so that could of really been bad. You are far from an idiot driver. You are a professional from what I’ve seen over the years. My father had about 5 Million Accident Free Miles when he passed away in Jan of 2020. 😢 The worst Accident he had before he was at the Company he was at when he passed was pretty bad. When he first started trucking some guy pulled into a Service Station to get Gas and casually mentioned to the Clerk he was going to commit Suicide. Don't be embarrassed. After having driven thousands of miles, you have made a small mistake - which, by the way, you handled perfectly as you should. Many greetings from Scandinavia 😊

Anyone that truly never makes a mistake isn't doing anything. You handled the situation honestly like the proffesional you are. You are an amazing truck driver, business professional, wife, mother and just a genuinely great human being. You are a great example to others. I’ve been trucking for close to 25 years. It’s very easy for things like this to happen. All you can do is own your mistakes, learn from them, and move on. Sounds like that’s exactly what you’ve done here. The very best drivers I’ve ever known have screwed up a whole bunch of times, and learned from every one of them. Lord knows I’ve had some dooseys!
Thanks for sharing! I’m an excavating contractor and as careful as we try to be with heavy equipment and trucks, things happen and you feel like crap when it does and you feel like your the only one who has ever made a mistake. But when someone like you shares their experience it helps us all appreciate we are human and it’s ok to admit we made a mistake.
You handled it like the professional you are and me being the trucking industry for 30 years. It's gonna happen you take care of it and move on and your videos are great keep them coming. 13:55
We all make mistakes, blind side backing is one of the hardest things to ever do, especially with the odds stacked against you with other traffic and possibly rolling your truck and trailer. We drive up here in NY where it's extremely congested and it's easy to get caught up in rushing, but like you said, we have a 2 minute rule in place at my company where if something seems off or not a clear solution, stop and regroup and come up with a plan of attack. Traffic be damned, it's your truck and your life/safety come first!
Dominic don’t beat yourself up over that. The most important thing is that you handled it as a professional business owner should. You didn’t run and hide you didn’t make up stupid stories and all this other stuff. Everybody else seems to do when that happens. Like the saying goes things happen and you fixed it and you’ll move on with life and your trucking career.👍👍👍
When I was training for LTL city work my trainer shared the most important words of wisdom that I think we all need to hear or read. He told me "don't let all these other people that don't have a clue rush you into making a costly mistake they can wait you have a job to do." He's very right, most of the people in cars couldn't care less about being in your way when your making turns or trying to get out of a lot. So why should I care about their brief inconvenience while I'm trying to do my job and do it safely.
You should not feel bad at all unfortunately its an accident and you really didn't do much damage to that truck if you ask me a tailgate. Keep driving be safe and have fun while you're doing it.
Seattle sucks to drive through, I go into Ballard with anywhere from a 28' to a 53' and getting around the roundabouts only to get screwed by a road crew that didn't put any signs up and they have a 2' wide ditch all the way across the street...just sucks.
Don’t ever feel ashamed-even the most experienced driver has had their accidents. You’re an amazing person, a fantastic driver, an exceptional mom / wife. Minor set back, you will prevail! Hugs from NY.
They are called an accident for a reason. You just gained even more respect from me, no need to be ashamed of having a accident, especially after stepping up and doing the right thing to correct a mistake the way you did!
Hey there your a bit tough on yourself. We all make decisions and sometimes that leads to mistakes but we all learn and try to do better. The pride yourself and Bobby takes with your work and shares with everyone is what makes your channel great! Keep up the great work!!
I've been driving 40 years and I have had my share of mishaps. I don't care what any one says they have had accident sometime in their career. Doesn't matter how many miles they driven
Don't feel bad things happen. At the time, you were doing what you thought was right. You owned up to your mistake and took care of it. We all make mistakes we learn from them, which makes us better in whatever we do for a living. Don't let this beat you. You are doing a good job. Keep up the good work.
Accidents happen to the best of people. You aren't the first and you sure won't be the last. I am going to assume that you didn't notify your insurance company and I wouldn't have either. Just keep on being the person you are and you won't have a thing to worry about. Keep on trucking and stay safe out there 🙏.
No need to be embarrassed or ashamed for sure , it happens and you sure didn’t do it on purpose. Glad he wasn’t some jerk about it and you were able to fix it !! Keep doing what you love doing everything will be fine !!
Young lady if more people were like you the world would be a better place, I am 81 years old and have tried to live my life up front. God bless you and keep you safe
You my friend !!! Outstanding human being. The reason you felt so much emotion was because you’re honest and trustworthy and in your life you except nothing but that. I wish everyone was like that.
My grandmother was a bus driver. She hit a 15 year old kid on a moped. 100% the mopeds fault and he was fine, think he broke an arm or something. Even if you're perfect, someone else will make sure you get into an accident eventually :)
I was afraid something major happened. Was so relieved to hear it was such a minor incident. Things like that happen. The fact that you care so much is what makes you so incredible. Keep on keeping on!
You care about the job you do.. You have a tremendous amount of integrity. You will go far in this industry. Mistakes will always happen, there is nothing we can do. You show a lot of yourself here. KEEP UP the solid work!
Been there, wrote the check, took my lumps, and learned what i could from it. Sh1t happens in this business. Good for you for coming clean about it and thanks for sharing! We all need a reality check every now and again.
The fact that you hit something is not really a big deal it's how you react afterwards. You handled yourself very well, and clearly he is happy. Glad nobody got hurt.
Oh my goodness girl shit happens no matter how long you drive or how careful you are it will happen. Don't be so hard on your self. You're awesome. Carry on.
One of the many reasons I dislike driving in the Seattle area. Even though I'm running an F250 with a 32' gooseneck I always check the google earth view to get a better idea of what I'll facing and I've still managed to run into tight spots. I agree with you on the just stop for 2 minutes and regroup. Videos like this are what keeps you real, it's not all flowers and rainbows.
You are courageous and have integrity, so don’t beat yourself up. (I do the same to myself, so no judgement.) The fact no one was injured and you and the F-150 driver handled it with kindness and respect us a win for humanity. 😊 Thanks for sharing your experience! My heart was pounding anxiously as you described the situation with traffic and the side street.
I’ve been driving for 25 years, and I can tell you, don’t ever feel embarrassed. We strive to be the best , but nobody is perfect , we’ve all had accidents and that’s what makes us better at what we do. It teaches us not to make the same mistake twice. 👍
Honesty is always the best way. Too many people try to lie their way out of things today. It almost always catches up with them. You did it the best way, bravo!!
Your a very good driver. Thanks for sharing your story and being honest. Almost felt like going to the principal's office 🙂 Hope you get lots good positive feedback.
Sorry to see you so upset. I was glad to learn that the incident was very minor. Thanks for showing your vulnerable side as well as your caring and very professional sides as well. Hold your head high and keep smiling!
It’s tough to keep your focus when in a difficult situation. Years back my grandpa told me that, not just in trucking but, in life there will be “bumps” along the way and we have to take them and learn from those experiences how to avoid them on the next trip. He also said the more that I dwell on the mistakes I make that it allows for more to be made. Good for you by handling this situation by keeping honest with yourself. Nowadays most people would’ve tried to lie their way out of this had they been the one responsible for the damage. 👏👏
I have traveled the streets of Seattle with a 45 ft Prevost charter bus many, many times. And I’m from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Let me tell you it’s not easy at all. You did a very truthful, masterful job of telling about your accident, and I can tell exactly how you felt. Keep up your excellent videos, Thanks, Jim Young
That’s the worst of it? The suspense was killing me! I was waiting to hear about the dead bodies, the wild police chase, and then seeing you on the On Patrol Live highlight real. Accidents happen, and it’s the truth. You have a good conscious and a good heart Miss. You made it right, which is what the F150 owner deserves. Stay Safe!
That was a wonderful story and you handled it as well as it could be, things happen and the real test is how we deal with our mistakes that was very professionally done and your attitude says it all.
Don't beat yourself up. No one was hurt and that's what is important. You handled it with honesty and dignity. Stuff happens. Safe travels and good health.
Don’t ever be embarrassed about doing what’s right. Like you said none of us are perfect or will ever be. It’s the fact that you were humble about your mistake. You didn’t deny the mistake you owned the mistake and you made it right. That is honesty and integrity!!! You will be blessed for that! God Bless and Keep on Truckin’.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I know it was hard to share this, but it also proves to us how real you are. I am proud of you for owning it. Please don't let this beat yourself up any more. I enjoy your honesty and your story's so much. Keep on trucking there lady, just a small skip in your long journey.
Hey Dauminique do not feel embarrassed it happens too the best of us. I have been driving trucks for 15 years. Had my share of minor accidents. Have found that owning up to them right from the start is the best medicine. Keep up the good blogs. Enjoy watching here in Australia.
My heart goes out to you for feeling so bad about a minor accident. Not easy maneuvering a truck that size through a residential area, much less with a trailer attached. With the weight you were carrying you couldn’t have felt the hit to the pickup! I love watching your videos, You do an awesome job!
No harm, no foul. Your honesty and willingness to make things right have carried the day.... as they always will. Couldn't figure out what you might have done that would be so serious, and, voila, it turns out to be just human error. Keep on trucking.
You are a HUMBLE caring human .. You are 100% right .. NO one is perfect .. Thank You for sharing it helps more then you think . Lesson Learned hold up traffic for a couple minutes to prevent not only the accident but most importantly ( Anxiety & Stress ) that would have occurred if i was in your position ..
That fact that you hold yourself to a high standard and care about your career speaks volumes about you. I’ve been around dump trucks and pups and dump trailers pretty much my whole life and I can tell you that those types of incidents are gonna happen especially when you factor in the amount of weight you carry and the tight spots you get into doing this kind of hauling. Learn from it and keep on truckin !
Dominique your honesty says a lot about your character willing to admit to your mistakes and learning from it shows more responsibility and respectability. Your conscience is clear! One time I had some work done at my place that was quite expensive, I paid the person and he took my check put it in his pocket and marked my bill paid in full, a few weeks later I had realized I had shorted him $5000,00. I called him up to make sure his books balanced (not telling him the amount) reflected the difference he said yes he was short that amount. I immediately wrote him a check for the shortfall because I knew I would not live with myself knowing that I had done that. My conscience is clear!
The hardest part about making a mistake is the guilt you feel about it. But being honest about it helps the mind to let it go. No one is perfect! Don't be so hard on yourself. I just found your videos, your are gifted!
You are a AWSOME truck driver and we are all human and we all will make mistakes period but the way you handle it is what counts and you owning your mistakes makes you a better truck driver keep up the good work.
I'm a truck driver in Vancouver, BC for the last 10 years. I've done it all, gotten myself stuck, hit stuff, gotten stuck in the snow, etc. I've had my ego beaten, my pride run over, felt like shit afterwards. Learn from it and incorporate it in your experience, that's all you can do about it. The key trait in a great driver is having self awareness from when they make mistakes and learn from it. One of the things that I've been told, don't ever worry about what other drivers or people think about you. Stop, take a few deep breaths, think about what to do next.
As a driver myself,i admire your business accumen. I know how Seattle traffic is as well as the narrow streets. You have a great focus & keep up your good work.
I started watching you due to your passion for what you do. I'm glad it all worked out. Keep on trucking, young lady. You handle it very well! Big hugs to you!
It happens Dauminique. Like you said NO ONE is perfect. We are human. You took care of the situation and now we all move on learning from our mistakes. Keep on Truck'en...
Absolutely magnificent woman you are to own up to your own faults. Therefore no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. I know I’ve had my share of mistakes and it just goes to show you what kind of woman you are to own it and it makes you a good person makes you a better person, I know there’s times that I do things and I feel guilty and I shamed of myself and I asked myself why but then after I talk to my clients or my customers and when you’re honest about things, it just makes you a better person I wish there was more people out there like you God bless you happy trucking and may God be with you on your safe trips and your journeys. Love your videos keep up the good work.
you took care of it, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes, you owned it, i admire you for being honest and open about it, case closed, we live , we learn and we move on, keep up the good work
If that’s the most that you ever do in your career then you can be pretty darn proud of that, nobody is perfect by any means but I absolutely love you and your videos keep up the great work !!!!
Sweetie That is why you pay insurance. You are being way to hard on yourself! If that's your first accident you have a good record going!!! It's called an accident and you didn't hurt anyone you damaged a pickup that can be repaired. Chin up and Keep on trucking!!!
As a new driver I got a lot of respect for you sharing !!! I didn’t hit a car but I rolled my steers across this guys grass. He came out arms flying , phone out. Yelling names. I hoped out told him I was new and explained the situation. Came back fixed his grass and we had a beer Being nice pays off
Wow the way you started out this story i was thinking that vehicle was severely damged, turns out to be just a scratch but you did the right thing and took care of it👍
Thank you for sharing it takes a lot of courage to share something like that. And you are not alone. It's been awhile for me but I got turned around in Chicago after only driving for a couple of months on my own. Missed my turn and tried to go around the block but ended up hitting a fire hydrant. Messed up situation on my part.

Dauminque, you are still a better truck driver than 90% of the ones I have to deal with everyday and I wouldnt trust any of them backing up a trailer

We all make mistakes we learn from them, which makes us better in whatever we do for a living. Don't let this beat you. You are doing a good job. Keep up the good work.
Embarrassing would be not admitting to your mistake. You ma’am are the definition of honesty and respect. God bless.
Dauminique I think you handled it quite exquisitely,You have nothing to be ashamed about as they say s*** happened.
Your the best, we need more truck drivers that care like you. Don't be embarrassed.
Tell me about it, I was genuinely worried where this video was going.
I was mighty relieved it was just a minor bump 👍
Daum, I hope you are ok. Daum, we are going to make mistakes. Keep striving and doing the great work you do. Everyone is watching we love you.
Thanks!
Thank you !
Never feel ashamed to admit your mistakes, honesty and having morals is a gift these days :)
Oh my goodness girl shit happens no matter how long you drive or how careful you are it will happen. Don't be so hard on your self. You're awesome. Carry on.
You have nothing to be embarrassed about and truthfully stuff happens. I still think what you do is AMAZING! Shalom
Like to see more work on the project truck in the shop
One of the many reasons I dislike driving in the Seattle area. Even though I'm running an F250 with a 32' gooseneck I always check the google earth view to get a better idea of what I'll facing and I've still managed to run into tight spots. I agree with you on the just stop for 2 minutes and regroup. Videos like this are what keeps you real, it's not all flowers and rainbows.
Thank you for sharing your "mistake". All the best as you daily navigate through tight spots. 😊
at least you owned it & made it right!! that says alot bout you!!! be safe out there!!!
Almost felt like going to the principal's office 🙂
Hope you get lots good positive feedback.
That's part of life and you learn from it. Keep pushing forward
The story you told and what you did makes you a great driver and person.
No Worries!!!!!! Ur still DOIN FANTASTIC TRUCKIN!!!!!!!😎🎯🇺🇸🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊
Sorry to see you so upset. I was glad to learn that the incident was very minor. Thanks for showing your vulnerable side as well as your caring and very professional sides as well. Hold your head high and keep smiling!
Thank you for all the time you put into these videos. I've done way worse. Glad your alright. Maybe you gained a new viewer too!!!
Thank you for sharing this with us, the main thing is nobody got hurt, beside your pride. That will take a long time to heal, trust me
It’s tough to keep your focus when in a difficult situation.
It’s not embarrassing. You took care of it. Sometimes stuff happens and don’t notice it.
Stay Safe!
Those things are going to happen. I put that in my category of, "thats part of the cost of doing business". You handled it very well!
I wouldn't sweat this, it happens and it can be fixed. Love the channel!
Things happen. You handled it very professionally and don’t beat yourself up bout it. Keep up the awesome work
You don't need to be perfect !! You're human !
That was a wonderful story and you handled it as well as it could be, things happen and the real test is how we deal with our mistakes that was very professionally done and your attitude says it all.
It happens no big deal
No worries! You are a quality lady full of grace and good character! Enjoy your videos!
Don't beat yourself up. No one was hurt and that's what is important. You handled it with honesty and dignity. Stuff happens.
Safe travels and good health.
❤ love your honesty. When in doubt get out. Those words have saved me more times than I can count.
Accidents do happen and we just take one day at a time ! Your awesome
I expected something way worse. What a gnarly route and trying to figure things out on the fly. Great learning situation.
You are displaying high integrity and immense honesty. Things do happen. Way to be a good person.
I have great respect for you! I’m an OTR driver from Canada trucking in the US, I really appreciate your honesty!
Im Proud of you, Honesty is best all the time. Do not hang your head, but also dont brag. Great Job.
you took care of it, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes, you owned it, i admire you for being honest and open about it, case closed, we live , we learn and we move on, keep up the good work
If that’s the most that you ever do in your career then you can be pretty darn proud of that, nobody is perfect by any means but I absolutely love you and your videos keep up the great work !!!!
Came back fixed his grass and we had a beer Being nice pays off
That’s not even that bad! I’m glad your ok and no one got hurt
You did the right thing! You handled it with dignity and grace! Now, FORGIVE YOURSELF, go on about your business!
You’re still an amazing driver and person!!!
Much respect for you!
Don't be embarrassed, sometimes we all get a little complacent and don't get out and look...it happens, we learn, we move on. Keep on trucking girl.
