If you swaddle his arms it will help him to not have that startled movement. It's his spatial awareness reflex. He is so adorable enjoy him being this little they get big so fast. My boys are 25 and 22. My daughter just turned 18. I can't wait till I get some grand babies!

Well, this definitely didn't put me to sleep, because I squeaked when I saw him and it was high pitched enough to hurt my throat and loud enough to scare my dog. Congratulations, he's beautiful. I'm sorry your wife had complications but I'm happy everything worked out so well.
I love those bamboo blankets. I'm a daycare teacher, and a lot of the kids have them, they are soft. What a cutie pie!

Pitocin without an epidural is the devil. I thought I actually thought I was going to pass out from the pain, it was so terribly excruciating, especially towards the end. She made the right choice! Congrats on the birth of your beautiful baby!!

You should read up on Finnish babys. The government provides a box for the new parents with clothes, diapers, bottles, ect. basically all of the things that new parents would need and when they realized that parents were letting the baby sleep in the box they made it a cute little thing instead of just regular brown cardboard. You just reminded me of that. Also, congrats! He's adorable.

I had my second son at home naturally I went 41 1/2 weeks so I can definitely relate to being anxious! my son weighed 10 pounds and I didn't have diabetes. I'm glad you guys stood your ground with the doctor. Your wife oh my what a trooper 😊
