Some have to die, so others can live! Thank you Matthew for being a lesson that saves lives!

The difficulty in watching this was exacerbated by the interviewer, who could have had a little more tact and tried showing genuine compassion, but that's another point. It's a shame that in this situation, Barbara Eden is but one more parent/relative out there who has suffered from the addition and loss of a loved one to drugs. The substance abuse epidemic today is part of a wider set of social ills that need to be addressed with a hands-on approach, greater community/cultural cohesiveness, and just anything that will help on an individual or family basis. A woman I literally admired growing up...and one I can relate to over the loss of a child. My only child, age 17 commited suicide almost 30 years ago because of addictive behavior...even though planning a life with a fiance' with aspirations, dreams, and hopes.. Many questions go unanswered, and I can feel the emotions this lovely lady is going thru. As a parent you always wonder if there was something more you could have done. God Bless You Barbara.

My older brother Joey died from recreational drugs back in 1977 in San Jose California and it tore my family apart. There are still mental and emotional scars today for the survivors, and that was 43 years ago. Happy 89th birthday Barbara Eden, you are eternally lovely and glamorous and strong.

I just saw her this year 2019, and I introduced her to my son Matthew. She said "that's a strong name. Matthew." She mentioned her son's name, Matthew Michael. I told her softly... "we know about Matthew, sweetheart. From 2001." From then on, she cried. (My mother, 88, lost 2 children, 25 and 27). Barbara's 87 now, and you see it will hurt her of course, to the end. We all love her. I gave her a necklace and a very elegant green-jeweled bracelet. I hope to see her again one day....

In the middle 80's I was driving a cab in Chicago after the company I was a salesman for folded. I picked up 3 guys who told me they were Federal Bank examiners and did I know where Blue Island and Ashland was. They told me they were going to this old bank that had been there for many years. Then they asked me if I knew who Barbara Eden was and I said of course I did, everyone knew who she was. They told me that she was the principal owner of this bank. Well, she lived in Chicago those days and I suppose it was possible. Besides, why would they say that if it wasn't true? She was very smart and to this day I believe it.

Why is everyone being so hard on Connie? She is doing her job. If Barbara needs consolation then that is what a therapist is for. Connie Chung is not Barbara's therapist. Connie is not going to waste her time doing some fluff interview.

I just saw her this year 2019, and I introduced her to my son Matthew. She said "that's a strong name. Matthew." She mentioned her son's name, Matthew Michael. I told her softly... "we know about Matthew, sweetheart. From 2001." From then on, she cried. (My mother, 88, lost 2 children, 25 and 27). Barbara's 87 now, and you see it will hurt her of course, to the end. We all love her. I gave her a necklace and a very elegant green-jeweled bracelet. I hope to see her again one day....

Barbara Eden is exactly as warm, loving and giving as Jeanie. Who woulda' thought that she was just playing herself on that show. I was right to fall in love with her those oh so many years ago. They don't make em like that anymore.

In the middle 80's I was driving a cab in Chicago after the company I was a salesman for folded. I picked up 3 guys who told me they were Federal Bank examiners and did I know where Blue Island and Ashland was. They told me they were going to this old bank that had been there for many years. Then they asked me if I knew who Barbara Eden was and I said of course I did, everyone knew who she was. They told me that she was the principal owner of this bank. Well, she lived in Chicago those days and I suppose it was possible. Besides, why would they say that if it wasn't true? She was very smart and to this day I believe it.
