- Here's 235 collecting a total of 49 carts full of recycling at an elementary school!

My school has 3 64 gallon cascades for recycling , 2 96 gallon otto edges for yardwaste, and a dumpster for trash

Nice video Kevin! I really like that you made an effort to film LAUSD's recycling and put it into a video. Lol the struggle at 2:49, I like the looks of this one. I also really love how the 2015 units just shoot up and down, it really makes these truck more interesting.I loved the cart at 11:34. Nice job on this one Kevin!

Cool Video! My school has WM recycling carts at my school too! But my school only has 7. So every week we have a lineup of 7 carts.

What an awesome line! How big is the school?? I remember when the school district out here did this, they had a dozen carts tops. Very fun to see the truck collect so many carts. And man does it look good with that signboard. Great catch Kevin!

Very good video Kevin! Its shocking that schools produce this much recycling. It just makes me wonder if LAUSD had black and green cans I wonder how bad that would be. Haha its like they give each student a blue bin. I wonder how the driver feels whenever he gets to this line. It would be better if he had a lng octo to do the job, packs faster. Great video again!
Thanks Kanyile! These trucks are actually pretty fast at packing, probably faster than the older trucks.

cans that touch especially in long lines of cans add a degree of difficulty and damage and spillage avoided with only some separation
Wow that art line was crazy, but fun to watch. That must be one big elementary school in order to take out that much recycle. Is this collected once a week? Great job!
Sure was! It's actually the size of any typical elementary school which was quite a surprise to see them filling up 49 carts! The school carts are collected once a week but only that time there were 49 Carts because of the end of the year cleanup. Usually it'll be a lot yes bins out. Thanks!

Why not just have a dumpster or two instead of 49 bins?
Until recycla started there were few companys that did recycling dumpsters and public buildings such as schools were given free bins that did not have to be payed for. Until recycla came it looked something like this at every public school in los angeles. Now that recycla has come recyling dumpsters are used instead of this

Do they not have dumpsters in California?
They have dumpsters from Republic Services at all LAUSD schools for trash and the City of LA collects recycling in the blue containers for the LAUSD schools.

I have Cal Waste dumpsters at my school idr how many they were but i think it was 2 or 4
