- The North East Backcountry Discovery Route is a route developed by the BDR organization for dual-sport and adventure motorcycle travel. It is an epic 1,300-mile backcountry tour of the Northeast Region up to the Canadian border. The tracks wind through seven states and nearly a dozen state forests on dirt and gravel roads, challenging seasonal and Class 4 roads, and twisty tarmac. Scenic views, endless forest roads under a canopy of trees, and the highest elevations in the Northeast are just some of the features of this amazing BDR. Every state delivers a unique adventure riding experience unto itself. Join me and my best buddy Ronny as we venture into this enchanted region and challenge our skills to the limit.

That's what New England General Stores are all about bro. I pedal a two wheel instead of using a throttle, and I can't tell you how many times those lil general stores have saved my bacon. Both literally and figuratively... Maple Bacon BLTs baby!!!
BTW, I'm in NH and the reason for our dirt roads being so well maintained throughout New England is easy. WE USE EM DAILY. NH uses a 6 tier road rating system. IF it's a class 6 road, it's basically only gonna get the local home owners doing the maintenance. Class 5 is basically a 3 season fire road, Maintained by the local township.. Class 4, Year Round used Dirt, Maintained by the local township. Anything 3, 2 or 1 is paved and fully state maintained. People ask where I live and I tell em "well, if you're still on pavement, you haven't gone far enough"

Nice looking area would be really pretty in the fall. the noise at the first camp was probably beavers slapping their tail against the water its quite loud and they are active at night

OOOPS.... Looks like this was from about a year ago. My bad. Ok. Fair enough. I will offer a challenge. First let me say that today I will be calling this campground and hope to visit (there) next weekend. Second. IF you guys do this again. I will meet you at any campsite and provide dinner for you both. So I would be a "support person." Right now my Nighthawk (named "West Virginia" because it was a container find in Bunker Hill West Virginia) is needing the carb overhaul. My plan is to be able to trailer this where ever and go from there. (01 4.0 Ford Ranger ~another story). But I have my trusty 09 Yaris. So I will be loading that up for an overnight next weekend. I am subscribed, mostly a fan of Noraly Shoenmaker ~ on break now ~ you know Itchy Boots. So I am all about what you are doing and maybe, just maybe some day, we can hook up. Oh no! Motorcycle meet Aug 4th at Webster Park here in Epsom NH. My bad. Well now it'll be the next next weekend. This is absolutely amazing. Keep this stuff up. Thank you again.

I have the same Bilt Tehcno Evolution 2.0 as Ron, interesting GoPro setup he has for it! It's a shame nobody makes a chin mount for them, I like the looks of the helmet much better than my wife's Techno 3.0. Hoping to do at least Massachusetts in the coming weeks myself, but I may just hold off for the foliage!
