the high location of the radiator (but not very safe if it do overheat...) helps alot and a very powerfull big electric 2-stage fan with a cover that covers the back of the radiator, so that the fan sucks fresh air through the entire radiator area on the same time is the key. I´ve seen a lot of guys that have had problems with there Jeeps (especially with V8´s) overheating when offroading and a lot of time the problem can be solved with only a good cover!
WallaceJeeper1987 is right, the diffs are not locked! We have airlockers but we´re not using them since we never get to a point were we actually need them. If we would have used the lockers it would have been to easy! :)
haha yeah, you're right... But we were still moving!! :) And to be honest - the lockers are there but they are not connected yet... The ride is far from the ultimate mud bogging machine anyway, especially with those tires, and just adding lockers will not make that big of difference. But it's still a fun machine :)
Are you guys TRYING to embarrass yourselves, because your really not, i am sooooo fucking jealous, that looks like so much fun, and that Jeep looks super Badass.
With a directional tire you can chose max traction forward or so you may be able to back out of a really bad stuck backwards. Most tractor tires are mounted so you can back out....
it's not a CJ4, only 1 CJ4 was ever really produced and sold (to a factory worker) it's hard to tell with its windshield not visible, but it looks to be a CJ3A
@boday11 The Willys jeeps were desighed partly by ford, and manufactured. ford is the one who came up up with the 7 slot grille, so, technically you are bashing all jeeps with a 7 slot grille and this guys jeep. :P
@codyhanestv shit they are all over i see them all the time on craigslist if you go to buy one and the body is rouch no need to worry if the frame is all good on it you can get any part you want for them body panels full bodies steel or fiberglass engine parts you name it i had one couple years back with skinny tires on it and stuff it was a pretty good jeep tough as hell
i reckon if he drove that jeep about 50mph, he could drive accross a flat lake! easily and comfortably! and by the way, thats not bad for his engine u freaks who say it is trashing it! engines like a good wearin!
Why? Have you ever read about the laws of physics? The question is rather WHY make a comment like that... haha, but thanks for the support! ;) And yes, my fourwheeler would make it through there as well, but what has that got to do with it? lol
+Ken MacMillan Fiberglass body, Dodge Weapon Carrier frame, Stock Chevy 350in the rear that came out of a 1988 Suburban converted from TBI to a marine Holley carb 4-barrel, TH350 short tail, Military Volvo TPV 1:1 transfer case (from appr. 1945) to turn the power, MAN military truck transfer case from the1960´s with a lockable center diff providing appr 65% rear and 35% to the front when diff not locked, Military Volvo TP21/TL22 axles with air lockers, Trelleborg Turf tires appr. 55"x25"-25". The jeep was originally built in 1978 in Sweden and was very extreme for that time. It used to have a 400cui Pontiac engine, a cast iron automatic gearbox from a Swedish tank and an awesome "show" paint with flakes. Originally it had 44" tires but the tires in the video were mounted in the early 80´s. Unfortunately the jeep was left sitting in a moist barn from 1991 until 2004 when it was restored - so the nice paint and the drivetrain was beyond repair.
awesome exhaust pipes

@1963fordgalaxy it's a Volvo TGB 13 flatbed, a swedish military vehicle from the 70's.

Are you guys TRYING to embarrass yourselves, because your really not, i am sooooo fucking jealous, that looks like so much fun, and that Jeep looks super Badass.

on a serious note yes. you dig down better with them forward and u get better flotation when they go backward
@kevintomb they dont seem to suck at all, he never got stuck.
Actually it only took like six hours... But it was worth it! :)
unstoppable!!
Oh... dang. Cool Willys anyways.
I agree
i wonder if theyll do wheels express on that

Dang where was this? I wish I could get all the jeeps in town and do something like this.
Look at 9 seconds into it. There's mud flying up on both sides.

all modifications wont help, it will never be a HUMMER =)
gostei muito
Ah the mud bath is so clensing isn't it......lol
is there a logic on putting the tires on backwards?
there goes $100 in gas. Nice rig.
tyres are on backwards.
I bet it drives heaps better in reverse.
i see, in sweden is the world still o.k. xD i wish i could be there too.
just a ball park estimate, how much did u invest in this?
Finns denna jeepen kvar i livet?

I believe you meant to say "is there any logic" period.

tractor tires probably work better
all right big boys, its time to take a bath!
haha he's got his tires on backwards thats why he's not moving anywhere
thats why you need mud guard...
who gets to clean that?
Is this a mobile car wash or what?
What are the specs?
