    Clear, detailed demo of an actual installation, I wished more channels went to this amount of effort. That internal roof-net looks like a good idea.

      Hi Casper. I’ve quite enjoyed the setup and adding extras to the Jimny. I also enjoy teaching and making videos so I decided to try out those 2 together. I’ll definitely try make a few more videos by the end of the month. Just getting caught up with puppy training which is proving to be very time consuming. Thanks for the feedback

    Thank you so much for this video! I now know how to install the cup holder I bought 6 months ago haha

      No problem. Im glad I could help. Now that I’ve had the cup holder for some time, I do find it a bit flimsy, I think the weight limit is 600g or possibly 600mls. So definitely good for smaller drinks.

    Great video mate hopefully those instructions give you pictures because it looked like it’s only in Chinese or Japanese writing

      So it seems that Jimny Style get most of their cosmetic accessories from Japan and none of the instructions Ive received are in English. So I look at the pictures but it’s challenging. What I also do it I take photos of the writing and then copy the text into Google translate and it works a charm.

    The shipping kills! I just made a large Ali express order with a bunch of cheap ish items for my jimny but it’s a bit of a mystery what I’ll actually get and the quality when it finally arrives 😂

      So true with the Ali Express and EBay orders. It’s almost exciting to open it and not know what the quality will be like. 😂

      Hi Lime. The max recommended weight is 600mls of liquid. They not too sturdy.

    Will u be able to move the ac vent with those cup holder installed?

    • @jonnosjimny
      @jonnosjimny  Год назад +1

      Hi John. That’s a great question. Once the tape is in place, you can’t rotate the vent and once the clip is in the vent it can’t move at all. So it’s stuck open. I guess it’s one of the drawbacks to this design

    So, the net is great but the roof lining will get grubby pretty quick. How do you intend to keep that clean?

      @jonnosjimny  9 месяцев назад

      Not sure. I’ll try only put clean stuff up there. But a solid shelf might be better. I could always clean it if it gets dirty

    Just came across your channel good work. With the storage net you being about 1.85m tall, are you able to sit in the backseat without your head touching the net?

    • @jonnosjimny
      @jonnosjimny  Год назад

      Hey. Thanks for the comment. I actually sat in the back today. If I sit straight up in the seat at the back my head just touches the net when it’s on its tightest. It does hang down in the middle, so if you sit slightly tilted to the side, towards the window I guess you are below the net. If I had to guess 1.7m could sit upright under the net.
      There are solid shelves one can buy instead. I think the benefit of the shelf is that they can carry more weight and might not hang as low in the Center.

    That's one way to damage and grub up your hood lining real quick with that netting also fastening a cup holder to those delicate little vents and not being able to adjust them is a big no thank you from me. You have to be very selective as to what accessories you put on your vehicle as there's allot of crap out there.

      Been using the netting for the past year and all good, no damage or dirt so far.
      These are definitely not the most practical cup/drink holders but I’m pretty sure they won’t damage the vents. Because of the lever arm and the way that they secure to the vent, the base that a drink rests on will break off long before enough force is generated to damage the vent.
      It can’t hold anything large or heavy, (600ml according to manufacturer) I recommend 500ml max. It’s perfect for soda cans.
      Having the vents open permanently is not ideal. Controlling the aircon through main controller works fine though.
