I'm guessing the DVD versions of the Royal will have suffered the same as Heartbeat with certain songs being replaced and substituted for poor cover songs due to rights issues. Not many uploads of the Royal on YT, not surprising really as it never caught on with viewers like the hugely successful and popular aforementioned series did (well popular if you're an OAP as noone I know ever watched Heartbeat). Can't fathom how the Royal managed to survive for so long with about 7 series.
