But one after another if you replace every single piece gradually is it at the end still the same ship) And the new race of cars have so much done to them (new shell, engine, hydraulics… all perfected for racing) so if Mcqueen got such a drastic change all at once to stay in the race would it still be Mcqueen that would be racing or a new car. I know his “car soul” would still be there because that is more of a hard drive/memory file but who knows? He might not survive it.

McQueen just kills me sometimes. He could have saved himself a lot of grief on the simulator if, like the first one, he had just stopped. In the first one when he got to Radiator Springs and got into trouble instead of just stopping he doubles and triples down by just gunning it harder which made everything much, much worse. He did the exact same thing on the simulator until he ended up destroying everything.
This movie is really a perfect depiction of how the quest for perfection and the investment at stake has drained all the personality out of professional sports. You watch football (soccer) now and there is so little individual flair, everyone plays in a strictly coached system where they have very specific responsibilities and there's no space for banter or fun like there used to be.

I liked everything about this movie right up untill that last race, it pissed me off so much 😂, i feel like lightning was robbed of humbling jackson storm like when doc humbled lightning in the first movie.
