Without a doubt, this is a “Superlative Product “. If you own one of these then, well, you know you’ve passed the “Finish Line”. It doesn’t get better than this!!!! I have a pair hooked up to a Nad M50.2, Arcam Dac33 with an Arcam A39 Amplifier. Interconnects are Wireworld Starlight and speaker cable being QED XTube. Very pleased with it and surprised how well the Speakers accept the Arcam FMJ amplifier. I was expecting them to require an Amplifier that had enough power on tap that could run a small Town, but this wasn’t the case. Recommended!
@@GramophoneMD I wanted to ask a question and maybe you could help me do you notice a difference in the sound quality sonically with the grills on compared to what the girls off? I appreciate any feedback you can give me on this I’m just kind of curious.
Hi Mike, the MC 8207 (and all Mac amps) is built to ensure it doesn't deliver heavily distorted content to your speakers. So even though it is rated at 200 WPC, it should still be a fine match for the 805's should you decide to go that way. As it seems you are in decision - mode, and we sell both brands, please reach out to us as we'd like to help: ask@gramophone.com
i have b&w 706 s2. They are great...i had dm 302 for years and still have them. 685 are amazing also. Listen your music and dont try to achieve the best..this ''game'' never ends.
I hope they've blossomed and changed. Their diamond tweeter is as sharp as a diamond. I just know b and w speakers as Treble Screamers' No thanks there's far better offerings.'
Hi LS, we've been really pleased with the changes in tweeter technology on Bowers and Wilkins most recent products, especially their recent improvements in tweeter technology. If you are able to audition these 805 D4 with your favorite music, please do!

I was surprised at just how different they were.

I have the 805 and they are very special!
For home theater 1st and music listening second would you go 805d4 with 2 subs or go 804d4? Thanks
I see they’re only rated to 150 watts, could you use them with like the McIntosh MC8207 amp (yes, I’m thinking multichannel and Atmos) ?
