Good contents.However as someone from the area, visitors miss alot when they stick to the "roads/itinerary" planned by the tour operators (coz of tight schedule). There is alot to see when you take a detour.

Yes there is Chalbi Desert. During the rainy season (which hardly happens), it turns into a seasonal desert lake.

Things have changed a lot since I was there in 1989-90. The Catholic mission in North Horr didn't have a swimming pool.
