@@MindtheGAS I might get this, but am waiting to hear your Forest Song Demo first 😉 I actually just started learning ableton recently! I’m hoping to have some stuff out soon, I learn something new everyday and it’s a very enlightening experience. Hopefully I can show you some stuff soon!
@maykolllopez1585 seems that you know a lot about my planning 😂 I hope to have the Forest song demo ready before the end of the month. That's cool man! Feel free to reach out if I could be of any assistance.
@@MindtheGASThanks bro! Easily one of my favorite reviewers/plays, that happens to demo my favorite pedal company! I’ll definitely reach out if needed.
@@MindtheGASBro, the demo was so good that it was all I was thinking of today, my hand slipped and accidentally bought a bloom. I can’t wait to stack it with my CW Bat… speaking of have you tried that yet?
Great demo as always! Question, how similar is this to the ssbs Mini or Fairfield Barbershop? I'm interested in those type of tones atm but always love Vitalii's work. The mini is a bit out of reach rn, but the barbershop seems very similar. Thanks!
Thank you my friend! All three are amazing pedals so you certainly have great taste on pedals and demos 😂 Unfortunately I haven't tried the Barbershop but heard only good things about it. The Mini has been a long time favourite of mine. Both the Mini and Bloom can go from overdrive to fuzz tones, but the Bloom can do also distortion pretty well. To my ears they are quite different. The Mini is a bit more harsh while Bloom is smoother at every setting. So I think that the Mini has its own distinct character but this isn't always a good thing. Regarding low gain sounds it's hard to choose between the two as they are both great. But for fuzz sounds the Bloom wins for me by far.
@@MindtheGAS Thanks! I have a barbershop coming in, so that will get the first crack. Might actually see if I can dial in the secret sauce for that use case, but not sure if I can get it to not sound so gated. The Bloom sounds pretty special though, so I won't be surprised if I eventually get one haha.
@@jt3483 I think the Bloom is actually the best sounding fuzz I've ever played, apart from all its other settings. So it's definitely well worth it to get one.
Hi! How would you compare the BLOOM against the FAT BAT and the COLD WAR? I read in one of your videos that the COLD WAR is more versatile than the FAT BAT. Considering your thoughts about that, would you say the bloom is as versatile as the cold war? I read you couldn´t stop playing the cold war and that´s the only downside of that pedal, so what would be the downside of the BLOOM?
Hi there! Thanks for watching my demos in depth. Much appreciated! Firstly regarding the Cold war Vs the Fat Bat, I think the Cold war is a bit more versatile regarding low gain sounds and maybe I prefer the fuzzy high gain settings on it. The Fat Bat is also quite a versatile pedal with all the numerous clipping options that it offers but I think it shines as a tight high gain distortion, it's really amazing for that. On the other hand the Bloom is a totally different circuit and quite specific about the gain type/level, which makes it simpler to choose what you need. I think that the fuzz setting on the Bloom is the perfect fuzz sound. The lower gain settings are really nice and crunchy. Still I think that the Cold war is even more versatile because it offers a really wide range of sounds, but I would prefer the Bloom for certain uses. Overall, all three are very good pedals so I think the criteria to choose one of them should be the genre and music style that interests you the most. So roughly I would say Fat Bat is the best option for metal and hard rock, Cold war for modern rock like alternative, indie, shoegaze etc. and Bloom for classic rock and blues.
Regarding the downside of each pedal, of course I was just joking about the Cold war because it was too addictive to play. About Bloom I honestly didn't feel there's any flaw. It's really good at what it does and it does so many things. It would be extremely useful to be able to switch among the different modes by using a footswitch or something like that, but that's common for all three pedals and you can't have it all.
@@MindtheGAS Thanks for the feedback and for joining my channel. I hope you find some useful content there too. The BLOOM caught my attention as it has OD, Dist, and fuzz, plus the crunch which seems to be kind of a clean boost at low gain. It appears that this pedal can do clean and dirty, crunchy and aggressive pretty well. I was between this and the Fat Bat. I just ordered the Bloom. However, if everything works out well, I'll probably save to order that Cold War instead of the JHS RAT.
@@palesama great choice! 👍 Actually the Crunch is in-between the OD and Distortion, so OD is less saturated while Crunch has that nice dirty amp feel. I haven't tried the Packrat but I've read from people that tried both this and the Cold war saying that they were much more impressed by the Cold war.
"used by guitar legends like billy gibbons and joe Satriani" lol who cares about those wankers, they've used EVERYTHING and have done fuck all but noodle, shoulda just said "This can sound like Sixteen Stone by Bush"
Well you know what they say about opinions. Personally, I'm mainly into 90s music and not the biggest fan of endless noodling, but I still can appreciate certain musicians.
Great demo. This one was already on my list to get, but great to hear it in action anyway.
Thank you! 🙏☺️
I was really blown away by this pedal. It sounds so good on every mode that it's impossible to choose which sound I like the most.
Thanks for another great demo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you my friend! ☺️🙏
Great sound and I really like the versatility
I’ve just noticed you and I play really similarly! Love your playing style bro it’s so pretty and nostalgic.
Thanks a lot! 😁 I'm glad you like it. This is one of my favourite tracks. Feel free to share if you have some music online. Cheers!

Is this similar to JHS The Kilt?
I haven't tried that one unfortunately. I see that they're both based on the Expandora so they should be similar.
