I am into recreational skating; what should i choose between Bauer Fast Rec and Bauer React Rec? They seem the same but I'm sure there is more to it. Thanks
Hi, i'm planning to get new skates, i can't choose between bauer MX3 and APX2, in your opinion, which would be better for me? im 91kg, and with pretty strong skating, so often my skates get ''soft'', if you know what i mean. Thanks.
How's it going . I have a wide foot and wear a size 11, and I put on a size 11.5 in a Nike Bauer skate and it was perfect . Any suggestions about skates for people with very wide feet?
I got skates from a friend, they are 9.5 fit good front to back but really squeeze my feet to the point of pain, the w is a D would being too narrow cause pain on the top of my foot and the bottoms?
What is the main difference between R width and D width, in Bauer roller hockey skates? I was looking at the sizes and noticed that there is only size R in the X60R skates. My ice skate width is a D though. Would I notice anything different or is it basically the same?
hey Tyson, thanks for the info, i havent been skating long, but i do skate a good few times a week...i do have some slight leverage in my current skate. thanks for letting me know that with the easton range to go half a size down, and since im flat footed the 'W' sounds like a winner for me
I have the bauer nexus 600, wide EE in size 7.5 (42,5 EU) and there are a litle bit too litle and now i want to buy the bauer supreme 170 i need the size 43,5 EU but there is only 43 EU and 44 EU what i can gonna buy i'm 14 years old weight 55kg without clothes and 168cm high i'm doing ice skate freestyle so i need them a little bit bigger that i have 6-10mm in the front pls help me i hope you do (sry i' from germany my english is not the best)
Is the Easton EQ3 good for recreational Hockey? What about the ankle support? I'm 6 foot 2, 175 lbs, I play defence and i play recreational hockey 2-3 times a week max. I'm trying to find a skate that has some good value, which is also not that expensive. I was between The EQ3 or the CCM u+04 Which skate is the best overall? Advantages, disadvantages? Do you have any other skate which you could suggest me on buying? Thanks for your time.
Wich one would you take? I hesitate netween these 2; The CCM U+ CL ovi are on special 429.99$ or I could dish out 100$ more for some Bauer Supreme TotalOne, i'm tending on the bauer's but the CCM U+ CL are 100$ cheaper and seem close to the TotalOne's quality
whoa, a young tyson. this must be one of the older vids. yo, tyson, chase or anybody.. love the vids by the way. this is my first time commenting and this maybe a bit lengthy. i have a few questions. about me: i would say that i am a casual/recreational skater who's still looking to find the perfect fit, and my goal is to skate like a hockey player in the long run. i've recently bought a pair of bauer supreme 140's, i've decided to get a skate to match my level, though, i don't think im a beginner.. i just can't stop, lol. im currently practicing stopping, cross overs and my tight turns. my foot measurements are 11.5 inches long and 4.5 wide for the left foot and my right foot is the same width but its 11.2 inches for my right. in a 9.0 size boot, i feel my left foot's second toe rubbing the toe cap when im standing and walking. i noticed this a lot more in the agressive stance that the supremes put me in but not so much in the traditional stance of the white k's. my problem: i had bought the reebok white k's as my first pair, back then, all because they looked cool with the white accents and fancy design. now, im more informed about skates levels and their performances. the main problem with the white k's are lace bites from these skates whenever i skate. whenever i lace the 140's up tight so that my feet don't lean inwards, after a while on the ice they hurt the sides of my feet. in addition, the widest point of my left foot just below my big toe is rubbing against the roof or side of the boot around that edge below the toe cap. from the info in this vid, i think that has something to deal with the volume aspect of it, right? i think maybe all of this is because the 140's are an r width. the reeboks were a double e and they felt alright minus the annoying lace bites. solution?: before i purchased the 140's, i was thinking about buying the vapor x2.0's in a size 9.0 ee. do you guys think i'd be ok with a 9.0 ee in that vapor x2.0 or should i get them in a 9.5 ee to compensate for the toe rub and also since they're a narrower fitting skates.. or, should i look to a different family/brand entirely? thoughts, recommendations much appreciated.
Hi, i skate once or twice a week for around 9 hours and i am a pretty good skater, i currently have absolute bottom line skates and i can do plenty of freestyle moves like grapevine, barrel roll, handplant/donut and jumps, i also play recreational hockey for an hour a week, my skate's support is broken and i need new skates, would you reccomend Bauer Vapor X3.0s or Reebok 6k pumps? Thanks
Hi I recently bought the Bauer vapor x60 the width is D and when I played hockey with them my foot really hurt not sure if there just new or I need a bigger width and if I need a bigger width my foot is 7.8 cm please answer because I need to know if I should get a bigger width and exchange the skates before its to late
Hi I'm thinking of getting the new Bauer vapors x70. I have roller blades and there width is D I really like that width and there size 5.5 I'm not sure if I should get my skates like that and my shoe size is size 7 to 7.5 please tell me if I should get the skate and which size and width ASAP thanks
i have a question thats been eating at me my friend says the nike bauers wer the best skates ever so what is the difference between the reguler bauers like the x60 n the nike bauers like the xxxx
what skates fit closest to reebok 6ks, i have wider feet and the 6ks seem to fit ok for me but im going to be getting new skates and want something a little lighter
hey, I'm looking to get myself a pair of vapor v50's and my foot measures in at a 9.5E on the Bauer sizing tool. should I get a set of D's and try to stretch them out a bit or get EE's and try to bake them and shrink the width?
Thanks for the quick response recommendation. The bad news is the Supreme one.6 black LE that I wanted cannot be shipped to Canada and I'd have to go over the border to pick them up. So now I'm considering the Reebok White K Pump. How would these Reeboks compare the the supreme one.6? Thanks in advance
I am now using a pair of supreme one05, so R width, and they are somehow too narrow at the forefoot. I am thinking about "upgrading" to one35, but i can only buy them online, so no trying before buying for me. Could you please tell me how big is the difference betwewn R and EE width?
Hello, I'm Jared. I'm 5'9 145lbs. I currently have the CCM's U+ 06 Skates in size 6.5, D width. I just found out my numbers are 10.1 inches in length and 2.65 in width (left foot) 10.3 inches in length and 2.64 in width (right foot) Is the sizing for my skates correct? I find that my right skate always feels a bit loose and I have to focus on and my energy to my right skate, in order to keep it balanced. I'm thinking of getting new skates, I was was thinking of getting something in the Bauer line. Would a stiffer boot help? Also, I find my heel and ankle to be a bit thin. Can you recommend any skate in the Bauer line that might help? Note: (my current skates have been baked, and I use waxed laces.)
So I wear a 9 in a skate shoe and that's all I wear.. and my RBK pumps are size 6.5 D and I play about 3 times a week and I play High School JV.. i'm about 120 lbs and i'm 5'5", what do you prefer out of the brands
some of the new easton range have a w.... what does the 'w' mean in regards to width. i have an old easton skate the se2 and in a size 8, is this still ok??
Hi, i have a question. Our son in September he will be 13 years old has Bauer Vapor x5.0 and than the X7.0 in D. Now he needs a new pair and some told me that he donßt need a Vapor X7.0 cause it is a pro Skate. Even our son plays hockey three times a week training and games on weekend. What do you think about is it better for his feet to get on X5.0 or X6.0 ? Waiting for your answer THX Mathias
Any idea if there is a big difference between Easton SE6 Skates and CCM U+ Pro Reloaded? (Both D Width) I understand U+ are generally wider, but how much wider are they?
Hi ice warehouse I'm 14 playing bantam a hockey and I have a narrow anckle so I was wondering if a Bauer vapor would be good and if so what model thanks greetings from canada
if i wear a size 15 in mens running shoe and im getting ice skates for christmas what size shoud i get and how do i get to a store that provides that big of a skate
I am going to start ice skating again for exercise and i roller blade alot so i thought it would be better for me to get ice hockey skates rather than figure skates but im really worried that i wont be able to find a size small enough for me since im a girl and i wear a size 6, also seems like hockey skates have more support , i have weak ankles
Are reebok 8k's/10k's comparable to the bauer one60's. I want a skate that fits tight round the ankle. the bauer one60 seems ok but will a reebok skate give me an even snugger fit?
Thank you for responding, but unfortunately i can not do that; i live outside of US and if i bought a pair i would have them shipped to a friend of mine from the states, and he would mail them to me (to avoid paying an additional ~30% in fees at Romanian customs). Could you measure the insole width at the forefoot for a size 7EE?
Dear IW staff, I've been using Bauer Vapor skates and now I'm planning to switch to Supreme line. I've had Vapor XXXX, Vapor X:60, and Vapor X 7.0 and the size was always 7.0 D. Should I get the same size for Supreme TotalOne NXG skates, too? NOTE: There's no hockey shop in my town so I have no chance to try them on ANOTHER NOTE: X 7.0's feel a little narrower on my feet than X:60's. In fact, I have some pain in the arch and forefoot because of that which didn't go away after heat molding.
I'm 14 and just starting ice hockey I usually skate once or twice a week and I'm wondering what skates to get. Willing to drop up to $150 and i am a medium foot shape. I have been looking at vapors though.
Hi, so what do you think about Grafs? I hear they are the comfyist skates around? I have a wide foot but I like the aggresive sound of the bauer vapors. Im 6ft2 and bulky, i want speed but I also want comfort. I have a wide foot also. Grafs or vapors what do you think?
I tried a pair of Mission 95-AG (D width) skates and found the toe box and forefoot to be a little too narrow, the heal pocket a little too wide, the volume a little too large and the ankle support too flimsy. I am 6'3" tall and 95KG, 12.5US skate shoe size, medium-low foot arch, my weight tends to be ~60% on the front and 40% on the heel. Can you recommend a skate that is a little above entry level on the way to intermediate?
I used old bauer vapor XXX skates but they stop making it so i´m looking for something similar. Can you advise me what skates i should try? I was thinking about bauer flexlite 4.0 but i´m not sure.
so i am looking for a new skate for the next season. i have allways used the supreme lines i have had one70, one80 and now i have one100. the one100 kinda feels too stiff for me but i use them allmost everyday so im thinking that if i buy the one80 or the newer one.8 are they going be too loose for my use i am 80kg 181cm. if you think yes what other skates would you recommend that are similiar to the supreme line
Hey guys i was wondering if you could tell me where I could still buy the original bauer vapor X60 skates? That is if they are still available anywhere.
Now I use Easton EQ1's, I started a while back, and I wear size 6d's do you think that the Easton stealth s12's are good (in general?) my foot is kind o narrow and I am small, do you think that the Bauer x30's or the Easton s12's would be better for me? (generally speaking)
hi im 12 years old and im a rep skill level player but only have the bauer vapor x1.0 because i got them for a really good price i really like bauer vapor but my x1.0 skates broke im looking forward to get a x3.0 or a x7.0 and a have a normal width of feet can you tell me witch skate to get and if i should get C,D,R,E,EE and with my x1.0 the bottom of my feet sometimes hurt and i really like bauer vapor so can you please tell what width and wich skate to get btw i have size 7 feet pleasse awnser
Hey Tyson, I just ordered some new Vapor XXXX skates and my shoe size is a 6 and I got a size 4.5 skates, but it seems that my foot just touches the toe box, but I want my skates to be a little bigger so is it possible that I can extend it just a tad bit so it would fit better on me?
Why don't you guys have Graf? I've been wondering what kind of fit they offer because when trying them on they fit me best between bauer reebok etc. I really like the ultra g75s
I'm 6'4 and not quite 200lbs. My shoe size is somewhere between a 13.5 and 14. I have a wide forefoot (big toe), high arch and narrow heel. I play forward in two competitive men's leagues. In addition, I skate in occasional weekend tournaments. My favorite skate ever was the CCM 652 Tacks w/ pump (circa 1995). Since, I've tried the 2008 CCM U+ Pros and the Bauer Vapor XXV. I sold the CCMs because the blisters were too painful (after 3 bakes). I use the Vapors, but don't love them. Any advice?
@icehockeywarehouse Well, I'm thinking about getting the CCM U+ PRO, but the dramatic price reduction worries me. Also, I heard that it is extremely stiff and hard to break in. Your thoughts?
Isn't the Supreme One95 narrower than the Vapors? I've heard that all the Supreme is wider, except the One95 and some other, and that the Vapor is gonna fit V-shaped feet better, is that right or...? I'm curious if I should maybe get a pair of X:60's- I recently got myself a pair of One95'ers and skated on them (after baking) for the first time today. They fit nice at the heel (Though I got some blisters at one foot) but becomes kinda wide at the front, but at the same time, my foot is too wide
I know this doesn't exactly pertain to skate fitting; but I am 15 and have been skating for 8 years. I have Vapor X:50s, and for the past few months, I have been having some trouble with the blade. I can't take off fast without losing an edge, and I can't make a tight turn without losing an edge and falling down. I can't get a full stride, and these problems have really been affecting my game. Do you think it could have something to do with the radius or lie of the blade? Pleaseee help. Thanks
I have the x2.0 and they feel a bit TOO snug. I have a 9.0ee and am looking to get the one.6 or nexus 400. would you recommend me just getting a regular supreme 9 since its a bit wider? or do i still need the ee. Also, im flat footed so i need a little higher arch to keep my feet level and not slanted in. And supreme or nexus
Hi guys, I currently use Reebok 6Ks and I'm looking for a new pair of skates. I have been looking at both Bauer Vapours and Supremes. Which skates will have a width or fit closest to my Reeboks? (D width)
My feet size is 26.6cm length, and 10.35cm width. It is slightly wide, would Bauer Vapour X4.0 EE suits my feet? Or wld you recommend other brands. Btw for inline skates, I use Tour Thor skates and it fits perfectly.
Wish I would of saw this video before I bought my first pair of skates you guys really go into detail I went to Hockey Giant and the guy that helped me had no clue or just didn't care ... I'm definitely going to start buying my gear from you guys love all your videos there so helpful ... Thank you
Great video Tyson, keep it up :) Very informative, gives a good idea as to how each brand fits.
Tyson you're awesome.
Definitely the go to guy when it comes to hockey gears
can you do an updated version for the new skate lines?
seems like most of the brands have adjusted the fit profiles on the new stuff.
Guys, breaking in a pair of Easton's and already have superfeet in there but still get some inside arch pain. Any suggestions?
Thanks Zach,
Keep uploading great videos!

Thanks.
So if you have giant Trex toe you should go with ccm?

Is the Easton EQ3 good for recreational Hockey? What about the ankle support?
I'm 6 foot 2, 175 lbs, I play defence and i play recreational hockey 2-3 times a week max.
I'm trying to find a skate that has some good value, which is also not that expensive.
I was between The EQ3 or the CCM u+04 Which skate is the best overall? Advantages, disadvantages?

Thanks for your time.
my feet are extra wide so my shoes are 5 and I can only go down to 4.5 and that's still very tight so I'm not sure about if I should go ofr 4.5 or a 5
Wich one would you take? I hesitate netween these 2; The CCM U+ CL ovi are on special 429.99$ or I could dish out 100$ more for some Bauer Supreme TotalOne, i'm tending on the bauer's but the CCM U+ CL are 100$ cheaper and seem close to the TotalOne's quality

hey, I'm looking to get myself a pair of vapor v50's and my foot measures in at a 9.5E on the Bauer sizing tool. should I get a set of D's and try to stretch them out a bit or get EE's and try to bake them and shrink the width?
I have a bauer D, if i were to get a bauer E, does the whole skate get wider? or just the front and middle? or just front? or just middle?
Thanks
Thanks for the quick response recommendation. The bad news is the Supreme one.6 black LE that I wanted cannot be shipped to Canada and I'd have to go over the border to pick them up. So now I'm considering the Reebok White K Pump. How would these Reeboks compare the the supreme one.6?

I tried a pair of Mission 95-AG (D width) skates and found the toe box and forefoot to be a little too narrow, the heal pocket a little too wide, the volume a little too large and the ankle support too flimsy. I am 6'3" tall and 95KG, 12.5US skate shoe size, medium-low foot arch, my weight tends to be ~60% on the front and 40% on the heel. Can you recommend a skate that is a little above entry level on the way to intermediate?
Awesome video. What about the new Bauer supremes? Same thing?
How do the old easton synergys fit?( i.e se16's....) like half a size down or 1.5 sizes down?
hey the back tounge of my skate is hanging off what should I do, and its a Bauer NXG total ones (need help)
I used old bauer vapor XXX skates but they stop making it so i´m looking for something similar. Can you advise me what skates i should try? I was thinking about bauer flexlite 4.0 but i´m not sure.
so i am looking for a new skate for the next season. i have allways used the supreme lines i have had one70, one80 and now i have one100. the one100 kinda feels too stiff for me but i use them allmost everyday so im thinking that if i buy the one80 or the newer one.8 are they going be too loose for my use i am 80kg 181cm. if you think yes what other skates would you recommend that are similiar to the supreme line
thanks dud youve helped me alot now im off to get new skates :D.
is a bauer vapor EE going to be about the same as a CCM EE? Thanks
I'm a size 10 US, and wanting to buy a Bauer vapor. What size should I get for the skates and what preference of skates selection from Bauer vapor?
hey can you tell me about grafs because im thinking about getting some.
PLease answer im looking for skates and my shoe size is us 10 and my foot is 4.2 inches wide is that d or not cause i have no idea.
Is it easy to switch from graf 570 skates to bauer vapor skates or supreme?
@icehockeywarehouse cool but out of all of the skates on the market, which pair has the best padding? weight isnt a problem for me

Hey Tyson,
I just ordered some new Vapor XXXX skates and my shoe size is a 6 and I got a size 4.5 skates, but it seems that my foot just touches the toe box, but I want my skates to be a little bigger so is it possible that I can extend it just a tad bit so it would fit better on me?
@icehockeywarehouse ok. so do you think if i order from the compony they could make a custom skate size?
They fit nice at the heel (Though I got some blisters at one foot) but becomes kinda wide at the front, but at the same time, my foot is too wide
thanks for this vid im gettin skates this summer...and i need wider skates
i have a wide feet.
narrow heel.
Narrow ankle
Small arch.
what skates do you think will fit me best?
I know this doesn't exactly pertain to skate fitting; but I am 15 and have been skating for 8 years. I have Vapor X:50s, and for the past few months, I have been having some trouble with the blade. I can't take off fast without losing an edge, and I can't make a tight turn without losing an edge and falling down. I can't get a full stride, and these problems have really been affecting my game. Do you think it could have something to do with the radius or lie of the blade? Pleaseee help.
Thanks
So I've always wore an R width, and I want to try Bauer vapors, should I get a D width or EE width?
I have quite narrow feet would vapor skates work?
I was wearing a euro 47 with the Mission and my big toes were pushing into the boot when turning,
I have the x2.0 and they feel a bit TOO snug.
Hi guys,
I currently use Reebok 6Ks and I'm looking for a new pair of skates. I have been looking at both Bauer Vapours and Supremes. Which skates will have a width or fit closest to my Reeboks? (D width)
Could you guys please do review on the reebok 12k skates?
My feet size is 26.6cm length, and 10.35cm width. It is slightly wide, would Bauer Vapour X4.0 EE suits my feet? Or wld you recommend other brands.
Btw for inline skates, I use Tour Thor skates and it fits perfectly.
Would it be hard to switch to the Bauer one100 le to the ccm RBZ ?
What is that new easton stick and when is it coming out
Can we base the size using converse?
I use the s17le skates now and I'm looking for a fit similar to that, something that is narrower. What would you suggest?
