love this game, love this series, saw your latest nova drift video and loved it too, 2 years ago you wanted 100k subs, now you have 200k, i first saw wonderbot's channel playing deathloop and other games i couldn't afford, and in a multiplayer game with you, i was like "hey this guy seems chill" and have been watching ever since. The larger than average ships are known as elites and the really large/distinctive enemies are the bosses. The elites/bosses all have a champion form too that buffs them. Every 100 waves bumps up the game's desire to end your run. First 100+ starts throwing stuff at you in more of a frenzy whereas the 200+ mode is known as 'Here be Dragons' and finally wave 300 is ''Time to Die'
Really glad you went ahead with a series Reto, just got this game last week and although I am not great at it I love the different ways you can build yourself, just a note, the black hole cannot kill you, it hurts a fair bit but won’t kill :)
One thing I recommend is not skipping over the defensive upgrades. Drones in particular can be upgraded into defensive drones which will block shots for you, which helps a LOT later in the game and on higher difficulties. Also increased shield strength is basically required later.
the first gear options can be skipped by pressing esc keeping the default gear and the upgrade point and amp is activate by having an enemy inside the translucent circle.
Great video, and yeah, Salvo is a blast to play as. Once you were getting pretty far and seeing all the same mods over and over, I probably would've recommended starting to fill out some drones. Just more stuff hanging around killing for you.
That´s why I really like the "wild mods". There are some really nice mods that can really flesh-out your build, and avoid running into the stuff over again. But, yes, for the start of a series, they can be overwhelming.

Mode gives you basically just more options for (stackable) upgrades, it can get pretty wild :) Since you get Rerolls all the time in the run, you can search for pretty specifc upgrades too
I played nova drift about 50 hours, and there are so many possible synergies, just like isaac. You should also take a look at ratropolis, an insane rogue towerdefense, it's way too good

We seem to have pretty similar taste in games, so I think you’d like this, along with great gameplay, the game has very in-depth story. I’ll stop bugging you about this now
Mostly for the algorithm but just so your runs are a bit more smooth One thing going forward that I see that is lowering the cohesion in your builds is planning, Taking ally was ok but the lack of you putting upgrades into it only made it a block in your mod pool instead of a benefit for your run. Would love to see a shield or hull build, they are espetilay cool if you play with wild mods. also, global damage is your damage modifier to enemies, not damage to you. also also, don let the cargo trains go, they are good xp and the only way to get boosts, (boosts look cool) also also also, if you do take vortex you will want to take rapid reconstruction (the one that removes your shield)
very viable as there is a upgrade for alies to make them fire your main weapon that haves the same propeties as your main weapon there attack speed also scales with yours
yes, there's even a mod that stops you from firing your weapon but doubles your construct limit, it's fun to be completely surrounded in drones and turrets doing nothing but dodge
@@Hydromaniacanoid Specific upgrades are very easy to get, even with wild mutation on you shouldn't have any problem getting what you want as long as you don't get overambitious, generally it's more of a balancing act between what you need in the immediate and your build path
Glad this got a series! I'd suggest putting some kind of flashing light/epilepsy warning somewhere though. In later waves this game can get wild with bright flashes. 🙃

I've stockpiled over 500 salvo rockets at once, it was very fun.
Salvo rockets are the best you just one shot all the bosses
@@user-r3h5w Salvo Rockets can very easily be built poorly but I think they may just be the best weapon, maybe Railgun.

Don't forget to add the wild metamorphosis option as you start the run. It makes the game way more fun !

Black holes don't kill you, but they do deal you a lot of damage.
It depends on how much health you have, as you see, he has died to them

Nah black holes reduce your hp to 1 then disappear and teleport you
