    What State is your yard? Your garden is beautiful. Would these lovely plants grow in the High Mountains, zone 4? I live in Colorado Springs and need some small ever green trees for my front yard. Shade until around 1:00 then full sun until sunset. Thanks for the video.

      @@donnalindakelley3402 both these arbs grow 3-8 zone very hardy compact. They grow part sun to full sun 4-6 hours at least. I live mine in their location performing great I neglect them which is how I prefer to garden ha ha . You won’t be disappointed. Thanks for watching . I’m in West Virginia zone 6b now and what a different season for us gardeners. Very extreme heat for us I live blue sky and sunshine but darn high 90s takes time to adapt. Good news rain showered on the way🤞with 80s it’s all fun and good . Keep me posted 🤞

    I just love your beautiful garden. Hope you do a Segment on all your container plants. That Alberta spruce was amazing. I’m growing two in a container myself but it’s not as tall. Great job!

      Sammy thank you . Because I’ve a small garden space these containers with shrubs and perennial become maintenance free 🤔kinda 😉. I do add fresh compost and fertilizer yearly . The trees will eventually maybe need out but several years yet! Have fun today what zone are you what state?

    I bought 4 tater tots this year and planted them in front of my porch. It’s been about 6 weeks and they are turning black on the lower limbs. They are in shade… zone 8a. We’ve had quite a bit of rain. Any ideas how to save them? Thanks for any input

      I would think excessive water yellowing would indicate too dry. These do like well drained soil too . Another if you have clay soil plant them a bit high not at ground level to help drainage. We’ve had lots of rain here too in WV it’s either feast or famine. Keep me posted I’ve a bit of browning at the base of mine now too 🤞🤞🤞I just trimmed the worst to clean it up . Check if too much mulch to close to trunk holding moisture. I need to do the same I just mulched that bed 🤔👍. You will fix it!! 😊

    Hi
    Your right. Now is the time to move plants. Love your Anna's magic ball. Difficult to find in the uk. The final touch day lily is also a must. Will keep looking out for them😁😄

    How is your anna magic ball doing. I live in chicago and have tried this shrub over the past 3 years and they always die. I have 2 that i need to dig up bc they died😢 that makes 5 total that didnt make it.

      @@deeee777 Dee mine looks great it is planted under a medium size caryopteris. This summer here in WV is a drought and I didn’t really start watering it until late July now I’m watering it about every 4 days when I water all my gardens. So many states and communities are drought!
      I’ve not kept up with Chicago area have you had moisture this summer? But another compact arb to try that I’ve just planted is Mr. Bowling Ball it gets max 30 inches by 30 I think zone3-8 full to part sun . Sage green no pruning like Anna’s magic yet her color is lovely but this one is too. I’ve a video coming up by Friday this week if o get it edited.
      Look it up I paid 39$ for maybe 5 gallon container.
      Let me know what you replace with .

    What exactly is an arborvitous?

    • @gardeningonthewestforkwith8994
      @gardeningonthewestforkwith8994  Месяц назад

      @@15DurangoRT arborvitae is an evergreen tree or shrub from Cypress family. Zone 3-7 full sun part shade , growth rate is medium likes moist alkaline soil but very adaptable. Not deer resistant yet I’ve not had severe damage. BAGWORM may be its worse pest but if you ck regularly easy to manage .
