my black tower elderberry was also disappointing, and although mine is in a huge pot, I've given it about 3 years to perform. Not sure if being in a pot had anything to do with it, or lack of full sun (it's in part sun), but I'm giving up and thinking that I'm moving it out of the gorgeous pot. Not sure where yet, as I don't have a really good spot for it, maybe I'll give it away, but I really wanted it to be a winner. And it's just not.

@@annadam Anna mine has yet to have many blooms or berries. Outside of me neglecting to water it in this drought I loved its upright narrow form and its leaf color. Mine is 3 perhaps you find a spot in your garden give it a year as I will see if mine recovers 🤞🤞🤞and if yours shows any giddy up in its performance I thought perhaps mine wasn’t getting enough sun last year but wow this year told me it’s in a hot spot. Or give it away put it on compost it’s your plant and your garden we can just do that with any plant that is not bringing joy!! Keep me posted on your decision.
