@@leelovesnature I have a Dremel 300, and recently, the switch-speed control started working intermittently. The tracks were quite dirty & the brushes weren't positioned quite correctly, so I took the assembly apart, cleaned it, & re-set the brushes. This was pretty successful, & it's working great now! Well, mostly, although one of the bearings feels a bit 'lumpy', so I'm thinking of having a go at replacing them as well...
@@leelovesnature must be a bad design on these, I have one that is dead as well. No power at all. What is really annoying, I bought it new about 6 or 8 years ago, used it once or twice when new and it worked great. Put it away and go to use it recently and completely dead! This was expensive top of Dremel brand at the time! 😡😡😡
Unusual brush setup.
Yes I must admit I was surprised but I rarely have to do this job. Thanks for your comment.

Yes, have a shot, you sound very competent.
Nice, thanks! :)
Hope it was useful.
@@leelovesnatureYes, indeed it was :)
Did you figure out why its not working?
Sorry Martin. Life got in the way. No doubt it was a 10 pence diode on a tiny circuit board. I bought an amazing cordless one for £20.

@@martinnormand7458 Yes it really sucks when that happens. Sorry to hear it. Totally bad for the planet too.
