  • Quickly, learn How to Clean the Lint out of your Dryer Ducts. Cleaning your dryer vent makes your dryer more efficient and reduces the risk of fire from dryer vent lint. Every load of laundry leaves just a little bit more lint sticking to the inside walls of your dryer vent duct. Even if you clean your lint trap with every load, some lint will always get past that trap. This lint builds up and coats the inner walls of your dryer duct, and over time it can build up so thick it can literally close off the duct entirely. Cleaning a Dryer Vent is a very important procedure that you have to do at least once or twice a year. Here’s a tutorial on how to clean a Dryer Vent in minutes.
Clean a Dryer Vent using the LintEater Dryer Cleaning Kit. This video will show you how to clean a dryer vent with the cleaning kit. It works awesome and as you can see in the video, the kit was able to get a lot of lint out of the vent.

I’ve only done this once before but I used pretty much the same technique that you demonstrated. My dryer vent opening is on the roof so I had to also clean it from the inside. The space I was working with in my laundry room is rather tight so this came a tedious task, I’ve been putting it off but your video reminds me that at least to get done. So now I have another project for this weekend.. thanks , I guess. LOL :)

Nice video, however, that piece with diamond shapes that you kept referring to be using from outside and feeding the rods thru, is actually a protection of your dryer. You attach it to the back of your dryer and then attach your flexible venting to it. It stops the brush/rods from being pushed into the back of your driver, while letting air from dryer to go thru venting. The adaptor for the rods and shop vac can be used inside or outside.
