And while they are not ranked for the most part, Ichigo alone is seen as the number one special threat.

It has not been fully mention (at this point in the anime) who or what the special threats are other than just saying that someone is or isn't a special threat (an example was Yhwach stating why Yamamoto was not considered a special threat). However there are 5 special threats in total: - Ichigo is for his potential - Kenpachi is for his strength and combat proficiency - Aizen is for his sheer amount of reiatsu - Urahara is for how well he can deploy tactics against any opponent. - Ichibe for his knowledge.

When Yhwach made the visit to Aizen, he was still fully bound, and only had an eye and mouth unwrapped due to Kyokasuigestsu's influence. Ichigo's entry to help Kenpachi reminded me of his entry in the Sokyoku hill to stop Rukia's execution, in both cases he moves fast and suddenly and abruptly using flash steps and then dispatches the ones enemies with just bare hands, while an some random person is going hard on the electric guitar in the background somewhere singing "Number One" Maybe Squad zero knows the Quincy army is too much for Soul Society more so now that old man Yama is dead, so they send Ichigo using Ouken and knowing the Quincies motives sent a bait to pull the top dogs of the Quincy army to the Royal palace where they can deal with them instead because this way they will not have to leave the Royal Palace where they should be at all times to protect the Soul King while training Byakuya Ichigo Renji Rukia so they can clean off the stragglers down in the Soul Society. This is what it seems like from all the information we have right now

In the manga it was less clear, but the new anime scenes (the face of Ichibei here, Mayuri and Kyoraku questioning what are they doing) confirmed that. Technically, even Rukia, Renji and Byakuya descended with Ouken clothes, but Yhwach waited for Ichigo to come down as he was the major threat. Squad Zero yes, they planned to end it with their own hands, reserving a big welcome to YH and his elite guards, as seen later, most likely as it was the quickest solution at the conflict (or so they thought).

Just wording that implies that he might be able to, but nothing showing that he can and even implying that schrifts stay with the quincies.
