Man, I have been struggling with building my own lettering for a long time so this technique is a game changer for me. Thanks for putting this up and sharing your knowledge!
Thank you so much. I'm so happy you like my videos! And Thank you for watching and commenting. I should be bringing out another lettering one in the future so hopefully you like that one too.
@@PHughesTattoo i am pretty sure i will like it. to me its the real deal to learn from you, i always struggled in a few things i now know how to solve and its also relaxing to watch you make it grow together. you can count on support in the future. normally i dont activate the bell and stuff like that :D
Thank you so much. These are the kind of comments that keep this channel going. I appreciate your support and your kind comments immensely. So thank you very much
Not sure if this silly to ask but could you do a tutorial on lettering layouts? I’m trying to learn how to line things up on a curve, a lazy s or a banner. I can do okay letters on a straight line but once I try different layouts they’re all bad. Thanks !
Sure, I really want to do more tutorials, but right now I'm having a lot of problems recording the screen of my ipad. My ipad is old so I need an updated one haha 😄 money problems 🙄 but as soon as I get one, I'll be releasing more tutorials.
Amazing teacher I went through two apprenticeships and never completed either fully , really doubted myself and I haven’t drawn or tattoo in years…. Thank you for making such a calming video explaining fully I really do appreciate it sir
Thank you so much! Apprenticeships can come and go but it's not always a reflection of you or your skills, keep drawing, never stop showing off your talents. Keep moving! Thank you for watching my videos and for talking the time to comment! I love reading people's comments. They always mean a lot

@@alexgallegos9818 well i use the ipad pro, i always connect wirelessly to my printer. As for the thermal i would say it fully depends on what type of thermal printer you have. but i would definitely say that the ipad pro is the best for this kind of stuff and right now its pretty cheap if you look for an older model.
thank you! and I havnt done one on capital letters yet because there is so much to talk about when it comes to capitals, but a video is definitely going to be made at some point.
im working on building my tools and techniques, still fairly wet behind the years with a machine and skin, your videos help me out a lot particularrly this one but what tablet/program set up are you using
I'm using an app called procreate on the iPad pro bud. It's definitely the app that I would recommend but there are other apps that you can get the same result on different devices. I guess I've just gotten used to using the iPad and procreate at this point
There's an option to smooth the brush if you edit the specific brush you want to use. I set mine pretty low as I'm so like feeling in control of how it looks but the more you turn it up the smoother it gets. Hope this helps!
Yeah I've actually been trying to shoot another video for the capital letters for the past 3 weeks but for some reason the ipad isn't playing ball. And I use that for the screen recording. But hopefully I'll have it fixed and sorted this week so I can shoot the new video this week
@@PHughesTattoo lol idk about inventing it... I was shown (in the states) this method like 20 yrs ago.... Good Ideal yes... Founder? IDK... Lol. Cool shit either way tho
I didn't say I invented it, I just came up with the idea to do if for myself ( I wasn't shown to do it by anyone) and thought it was a good way to teach people. Please read my comments more carefully. Thanks
I suppose something like that depends on your creativity, I know some artists don't connect the letter S on the the right side. I usually decide to do it or not depending on the style of lettering im doing. But the easiest way if your going to is take the finishing curve of the s and cross it over to meet up with e. Kind of like the bottom half of an 8. If you look at a lot of hand lettering you'll see what I mean. Others just follow the bottom like back again to meet up with the next letter It depends on how your lettering man, it's all about creativity. There's no right and wrong, just what looks better for you.
@@PHughesTattoo thankyou brodie I’m practicing rn and I did two names. i don’t like the b on one but the other one is goated. I just started to do something like this

Would love to see a video covering capital letters
what way would you like me to cover capital letters? I do briefly cover them in this video but if i can go more into detail then that would be great.
@@PHughesTattoo maybe just your approach on their design and how you build them off the binary.
This is a great vid! Is there a one for capital letters in the binary method? Tnx!

need the uppercase letters next.
i was thinking i might just do a short video on the capital letters instead of a long video explaining everything.
