Ye I noticed that people are interested in it, only started doing that a couple of campaigns ago, so you didn't miss a lot 😄 Will always try to include it and if the video is too long, I'll split it into two parts like I did with the streamer campaign :)
Hey I am wondering what is that thing you keep saying "Achtung something" I don't know if it's correct but can you tell me what it is? Thanks Example at 21:54
I'm not convinced it's faster to smoothsteer on wood based on your testing at the end. Steering when gearing up can slow you down, but otherwise you were just later at the checkpoint which means you had more time to accelerate and therefore you are +1 speed at the checkpoint. This doesn't result in a faster time though.
I really wish wood wasn't so extremely different from every other surface. Anyway as a KB player does anyone had advice about what to remap the action keys to? Its awkward for me to reach my other hand across the keyboard while playing.
depends, if it's just fast direction changes and full steering (which will mostly be the case on competitive maps I assume), it rather is a disadvantage on really fast wood sections it's of course faster
they help to go a bit more inside (I did used it to get world record on Lars' map in the streamer campaign) but I don't actually know if you can gain speed with that
I do think wood is too crazy for trackmania but I also don't hate it. I just don't want to see it overused. Like its a fun gimmick and opens up a lot of creativity but ever other surface you can intuitively adapt where as if you play wood for too long it just ruins muscle memory
the muscle memory thing is totally understandable (same with the snow car) but it really just is a matter of getting used it I feel like way too many people instantly jumped to conclusion after playing wood and snow for two days only instead of trying it out for a bit longer also I would still argue that ice is a million times less intuitive than wood :D would is esentially road with an exponential acceleration curve and way more grip
yeah definitely after playing a while it feels less jarring going back and forth. and yeah Ice is definitely less intuitive lol but because its "Ice" most people already assume they'll have no control so its less surprising than wood. Wood is just the furthest from real world physics because its almost like magnet without the magnet feel @@GranaDy
@@tipilot3791 the steering is a bit like go-karting or also the way an RC car behaves :D just the acceleration from 430+ spd is indeed a bit ridiculous nonetheless, I like the surface a lot, it opens up a lot of possibilities if used nicely :) and kacky players probably also like it xD
i dont know how often you hunt maps but i'd love to watch all of them like this

The call-out to Riolu killed me
Altered campaigns are some of my favorite videos to watch and play. When’s chroma gonna release his new fs map w/ wood I wonder.
ye I also love altered campaigns :D
no clue, but I'll check it out!
that must granadys favourite update so far, its like he has trained his whole life for this
yes it is!
10 years of snow car finally paid off
Since you’ve mastered the wood training, can’t wait for the Fall 2023 Wood campaign! Love the content ❤
looking forward to it 😊

Perfect timing that this uploaded right when I refreshed videos...

it's more intuitive and similar to other surfaces than ice, that's for sure
@@GranaDyI didn't think about it like that. Ice is definitely very different
4:54 shout out to riolu.... Oof
>Casually gets bored of getting most world records in a campaign so decides to stop.
😂
Granady not realizing that using a steering wheel gives him a huge competitive advantage on wood is funny

21:57 Yes yes yes, I really wanna see Granady STMs
Would love to watch the eood altered campaign video when it come out :)
wood
will play and upload it as soon as it's published :)
I'm a simple man, I see a Grana upload I click like.
good focus!
Pog, 3rd place on the first map is "Noiszia". Shout out de Nederlands boys.
i’m here for the wood gameplay
6:06 woah
WL thinks full steer on wood can eat gears, thats why its slower.
Are there brake taps on wet wood and if so when/how often?
they help to go a bit more inside (I did used it to get world record on Lars' map in the streamer campaign)
but I don't actually know if you can gain speed with that
Accidentally got 01 wr xdd
Was that stream sponsored by Marius89?
Yes, everyone should check them out. they have a partnership where grana promotes marius89, a super cool energy drink everyone loves it
