This is my dream car. The perfect blend of OG style with modern reliability. A vintage 62 yellow Cali license plate would be a nice touch.
The 409 would have made that car so much cooler everything these days has an ls when do you ever see a 409 they also make good power
He wanted to preserve that 409 so it’s crated and stored in his shop
That car is awesome and I totally dig the look, especially those wheels. Such clean lines wide open spacious interior. Chevy built some great machines back then. I'd love having that baby for a cruiser. Nice to see him enjoy it and not have it stuffed away in a museum. You got yourself a new subscriber!
Thanks for the sub Robert! Yeah, cool car and I love that Frankie drives it hard.
Im a ford guy but I love that year Impala that body is beautiful!
So cool!!!! Thanks for sharing. The 62 Bel Air is my favorite muscle car. and with 500 hp from an LS!!!! I am impressed!!! Thanks for sharing, you made my day!!!
Super nice car. Perfect stance, love the wheels!
Total badass!
I love it , What a nice build Staying true to heritage With the look of the oldschool but w a new engine and the wider original style the wheels he really nailed it. Wrapping up that original engine that's where it's at, Smart move. my dad had of 61 bellair bubble top. We love these cars, Plus my dad's name is Frank, So I know this Frankie guy with all the cool cars has to be a cool dude ... another great episode you guys really killed it Loving the intros and outreau's
HOT RODS BY NTKUSTOMSDOTCOM Kyle did 100% of this edit so give him the credit! And yeah, Frankie is a great guy and has some cool rides. Cool story about your dad.
Great Job Kyle!
I had a black one with red interior back in 1974, I had a 425 hp 427 in it with a rock crusher. I really miss that RAT
Omg what a beautiful car dam it
Absolutely love it the 62 beliair is my favorit looking car as of 3 weeks ago never saw one before that
Very nice. The first time I saw a 62 Bubble Top 409 when I was 17, I was so impressed. It has been a favorite of mine ever since. I like the outward simplicity of the car, just as it should be. I am now 73 years old and I had some muscle cars in my earlier driving days when I nothing else to spend my money on besides cars, girls and booze. I did a few burn outs back then, but never a tire wasting donut. Maybe I am just too frugal.
Bad ass muscle car, smoke show to the extreme, and great beats for an intro, yep, that's why I'm an avid AutotopiaLA sub. Keep feeding us this heavy metal, Shawn -- from the looks of the mosh pit the crowd loves it and wants some more !
More to come my brotha...lots more!!
I saw Dyno Don run his 409 Impala some 30+ years ago at Sumerduck raceway. He match raced Ronnie Sox's Hemi Cuda, Arnie Beswick Pontiac Tempest and I recall Beswick ran the best times. That Impala though was badass.
Very cool! Thanks for the quick story here 👊
Awesome sleeper
Another nice catch!
This was such a fun shoot. Love the history of the car and Frankie driving the piss out of it.
Rocking that 62! Hell Yeah! 🤘
He drives his cars all hard!
I love the clean sleeper looking cars looks very nice!
Total sleeper. And I love that Frankie drives it.
Dude!! Sweet Bubble Top!!!! I dig a Lot of cars, but bubble tops get me every time!! 👍🏼😎👍🏼
I love simple old school builds.
Looks sweet, especially under the hood. Love it!
Yeah, this is a great car!
Love the Don Nicholson provenance. One of the first Funny Car pilots to boot.
one word......BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
Agreed
Beautiful '62 Bubble Top Impala. Fucked up the hood though with the Louvres!!! It would look even more beautiful with the old style Keystone wheels!!!!
Dyno Don did the louvres back in the day when he was racing it
Bel Air, not Impala!
I love stuff like this
I love it. Beautiful wow. Stock look. Is. Awesome.
That’s a another great episode. Sick day brother. Speak soon
Great seeing you and hanging at SEMA!
Beautiful...Very nice
Really great car and great piece of history
Nice car , Cool video and a Thumbs Up liked. Happy Holidays to you and all your subscribers also.
Very nice car and great channel, keep up the good work.
Thanks! Lots more to come. So many great vehicles to show and experience.
Awesome bubble top
Agreed. Simple. Understated and badass
The only thing that I love more than a bubble-butt is a 1962 bubble-top 😋
I've always wanted a 1959 2-door hardtop belair. I will definitely own one some day.
Hope you get one. This thing is really a cool ride
I do too. The rarest of the 59 impala's. Beautiful 62! That is a very rare one as well!
Love the old Impala's
Damn Shawn another kickass car. Nice job!
Thanks and yeah, love that Bubble Top!
Literally a bad ass car. I wish I could see that type of cars here in my country
It is a badass. Where are you?
@@AutotopiaLA Colombia 🇨🇴
Love it
Beautiful bubble top. Back in the early 1960's when I was a teenager I was into smoking the tires on my car. I guess after a few years in the Navy and Vietnam, I finally realized how stupid I was to waste my tires and possibly blow a perfectly good engine in my '57 Chevy. I think I grew up in Vietnam and realized what was actually much more important than wasting tires.
That’s nice classic 👍
With some attitude
Another dream car! Come on man, You keep adding to my dream cars! Stop bro, just stop. Lol.
Not stopping 😂
"INCREÍBLE"
409s are rare.
That is a fine gem.
Oh my... Is this perfection?
Right?!?!
More please!
so perfect!
Sure is and he drives it all the time
Now, this industry of vintage restoration and tweaking made contemporary everyday drive, makes L.A. the most unique place
Now that's the way the take the car out and show it off no matter how pretty it is
Now that's how a Deuce is supposed too look, act and SOUND!!!!!
An original Bubble top 409 car starts out as historically significant(Automotive). Then, the car is formed into just another car from 'Clown World'.CLOWN WORLD!.
Work of art brother.... has every damn element of da'new and the old....perfecto (like to know what he did with the suspension as it looks comfortable enough yet solid enough when loaded?)
Love love love it... keeping your American work of art perfectly refreshed...
Great channel, brilliantly produced as well sir
Bob U.K.
Thanks Bob!! He talks about the suspension in the video I thought? Now you make me want to rewatch and hear about the suspension. Either way, thanks for the compliments. I appreciate it.
@@AutotopiaLA
He may well of done and I just had moment...
Cheers
Mr 409 on east coast. Its 63 or 64 impala. It lifts passenger tire a ft driver side about 3 ft off ground. Awesome old rides
This is such a killer car!
I had my Pontiac wheels widens to 12 inches by Dooy Barns in Lweistown
Wow!!! she's a beauty!
💯 Cool !✌👍🇺🇸
❤
Awesome car and I am happy to see him driving it and boiling the tires just like Dyno Don would have done however he would have done it in a straight line.
Frankie drives it all the time. That’s what it’s for right? 👊
@@AutotopiaLA and that is how it should be
Shawn you need to film the "corrupt mustang " from sema! Have you seen that one damn...
I’d love to shoot that car. Saw it last week and thought it was a killer!
Bad ass
one of the three chevys i would seek out to buy if i had money but i would be a 409 engine all the way. other is the 69 sports roof impala ss and the 69 427 vette hardtop.
Why not run the 409? That's what makes the car cool. You can put a ls in anything. The 409 was a very powerful motor. Its not hard to get 500 horse out of a 409.
He pretty much daily drives it so wanted the reliability and wanted to preserve the Dyno Don motor I believe
white noise..awesome
Total cruiser beast
Shawn, next time go for a donut ride!
That would be fun!
What a way to treat a nice 😔
Considering that everything that came off is palletized I think he treated it with total respect. Frankie is a true enthusiast.
Who makes the mufflers?
Such a classic shape! Just beautiful damn if I won the lotto I'd get this car fuck it million bucks I don't care
Yeah. This is a cool one. Simple. Powerful and total sleeper look.
Yo Shaen didn't say "go over the details" that's almost ur signature dood..gotta say it once @ least lol..as long as u don't do that damn camera slap transition..now that's tired..but u cool man
We’re gonna take a drive and definitely go over the details 😂😂😂 Watch out for the camera slap BOOM!
"serious doughnuts"?! nothing's serious about wasting tires without gaining traction
Nice Car. Whats is the size of the Tires? Thanks
Don’t know his tire sizes. His info is in the description. Hit him up. Very cool guy
Nice car difficult to hear with ghetto music ... nice car thanks for sharing
Funny thing go to car show do burnouts
Parks and cops show up won't give this car second look ..lol
A stock frame on this car?
Yep
"SMOKIN HOT" n keeping it so cool in cream , with the essence , a true work of art andf im sure dyno dan be lovin it baby , i dam sure i am , and im miles away guys n gals ,, laters ao that one ,, so delicatly thundeous yet shh mums the word .. xx
Kevin Quinton fun one for sure and I’m sure Dyno Don is loving it!
Cars should be driven, donuts aren't hurting that car.
There go my chances to get my '62 on your show! 🤦🏽♂️

Clean car! Are you local? Let’s shoot it!!
@@AutotopiaLA I'm up north in the Bay Area. I've got a built LS7 short block, that I'm a couple weeks out from swapping out with the LS3.
@@AutotopiaLA I'm the one who called you a few months ago about helping me sort out shipping it to Europe next year for a family road trip.
Roman Macias I remember! Did you ever sort it out? Wish you were closer. Would love to work out shooting it sometime.
Amazed that an enterprising LA cop hasn't analyzed your videos and pulled your license for speeding, display of speed, reckless driving, and generally being a hazard to traffic.
😂🖕🏻
I've got a 62 Biscayne and a 58 delray . I wish I owned a 409 bubble top !!! He should have never took the 409 out that's completely stupid !!! I could understand dropping something else in her if there was no motor when he got her . I don't know what he was thinking !!!
It doesn't get much better than a58.
I agree.Throw the 409 back in her with the 4 speed.
I would luv to put a 409 under the of my "50 Chevy ...can you point me in a direction, brudda mon?
Weird that the wheels don’t match the paint on the car.
Hadn’t noticed that before
Stockton wheels is the shit!!!
No one bel air is sure the impala y love it the cars
love it but not the auto trans.
Quit putting a LS engine in everything. Find another 409 and you can easily get that level of power and still be dependable. Do some cool fuel injection and you’d have a way more unique car
Build another 409 put the L.S. IN A BOAT. And sink it.
Could never get used to a muscle car with a column shift.
Play the beach boys. Not that crap.
Second!!!
Missed you in Vegas! Sorry but SEMA was insanity.
Frankly, I'd be more impressed if they made this beast in 4 wheel drive.
Cool car! But doing donuts never impressed me.
LS....really. get the 09 back in. 🤬
