Happy Anniversary John! Did you get a treat last night? Tell us all about it. Also, I really hope to see some Bush Bee Man bee escapes in the near future. As always, thank you both for everything!
Looks like your on fairweather ave. Did a job at this house a few months later on from this video and it was trashed by tenants. Never though bees would be so interesting. Now I see why Ian gets so excited haha. Good work Mark
I live in York County Pennsylvania USA, I get swarm calls all the time from York County South Carolina and York County Maine to come collect swarms. Always tell folks if they send me a plane ticket I'll bee happy to come collect the bees! LOL Enjoy your videos but ya really need better swarm collection box or two!
Works like a champ. A fellow beekeeper in North Carolina did a side by side field test of swarm commander and lemon grass oil in several bait boxes. The lemon grass oil won.
Marc, you’re better of using a normal 8 frame box with timber frames with wax starters or plastic frames with wax on them to catch swarms like that. Minimal disturbance then and they’re ready to start their new home. Your Plastic box has to go!
At about 12 minutes you start talking about one-way entrances. Have you ever thought about one of the escapeboards in a swarm box? If I had bees, I would give it a go myself.
maybe easier to collect bee swarmsdirectly into a hive body with a few frames of old comb. saves from doing twice the amout of work and stress on the bees.
Love watching you guys working with the bees. 🐝🌻
Nice recovery, I could here the girls chanting "Bush Bee Man take us home" over and over. You give recycling a new meaning.
Rhombus bee escape/board is a great 'one way' clearer when taking the honey supers off. You could use a similar setup for your swarm collection box.

Thought the same thing at 5:55 but I think it's probably a bird or something else

Northern York County here too.
WOW you are the bush bee man and that swarm you could call them the bush bee bees 🐝
Where do you purchase your queens?
I'm finally first! Another great episode, as usual!
Try putting a frame of brood from another hive in when housing a swarm capture. You're chances of them staying will be greatly increased.
Or a queen excluder between the floor and brood box for a few days. You might get a few dead drones as they cant leave the hive.
yep
I catch a bee swarm and put it in the bee house and next day they are gone. How do I make them stay in the bee box?
What’s your view on using lemon grass oil to attract a swarm?

you can tell the camera man that i only found your channel (a year or more ago) because of his posts on imgur
That's awesome! I'm glad it's helping people find the channel :)
You could do a trap out on the tree
