I love these solos! Solos where the beat is always kept in the background, to keep the groove, are so much more enjoyable to listen to than a solo where there is no discernible beat threading through to give it a groove or foundation. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Thanks Drumeo for blessing us with these great players and solos!

learn drums in four years is possible and with daily attentive good work you can do this at your own style
i'm 40 too and now i relearn drum with a professionnal teacher because learn alone is a risk of wasted time.

Origalde. Not really my niece learn Drum's, when she was young & she's now 11 year's old. & i helped her by ear the best way, i could with a disability, to play Drum's & now she play's drum's for Church. So don't alway's think that you can't do anything. when that's not really true.
The only other thing's i can't do is cook great food & my English Math's Science & S.o.s History & answering question's like the chasser show in the UK. that's hard, & drawing horse's are pretty hard to draw as well. My older Sister was good at drawing them, & playing keyboard, but she's past away now :-( :-( :-( I miss her Heap's :-( :-( .

Two minutes in and this is definitely my favourite solo I've seen on this channel so far. Amazing creativity and use of dynamics and I really love the use of mallets on the snare.
Was just thinking while watching this that the guy used every single piece of equipment in so many different ways, I bet he's just as good on a small kit and then the next video was this guy playing a solo on a three piece kit and it actually was just as good

All those minor techniques really contribute! I like the soft rubs and draws on the skin of the head. The use of the rims
is something I've just been thinking about lately.
In the beginning, Drumeo was a bit rubish. Now, there's a lot of sophistication, a lot of technical nuance.
Scott is at one and the same time advanced and able to use fundamental, understated Physics.
Let's not forget the studio crew. Good microphone capture.

WoooooooooooooooooooW sound is amazing.
The musicality and dynamics he achieves are amazing. Just even the things he thinks of to make percussive music is unbelievable: at no point in the 20 years I've been playing drums have I thought about putting the stick in my mouth to achieve some form of musical rhythm, let alone one that adds to a solo! It doesn't matter if it's the most technically amazing piece of work (not in any way saying it was bad), or if you didn't necessarily enjoy it, you should at least appreciate the way in which he utilised the drums to create something that wasn't just a technical exhibition, but an example of the ability of the drums to be a solo musical instrument.
