My head canon will always consider Chase/Beast tamer as one of Lynn's previous lives.

Unfortunately it is not possible, since the Beast Tamer class was the only one created in America, it does not exist for the Koreans. That's why the Beast Tamer didn't have a 6th job, Nexon Korea would never approve of investing money in a character that doesn't exist for them. That's why they decided to convert Chase's character to the new character they had created (Lynn), if they didn't do that, then the Beast Tamer would be forgotten without any other update...
In other words, Lynn has nothing to do with Chase... But yeah, it would be cool if it was one of her past lives ✋👌
leveling Lynn was actually a lot more fun than i was expecting, i will miss the precious snow leopard but the wolf skills just feel a lot better and the movement is surprisingly good for what's supposed to be a mage
Lynn is a massive nerf, Chase's gameplay and movement so super fluid and fun and Lynn is severely scuffed.
@@MasterStacona Having mained both, Lynn is a massive buff overall in nearly every way (the only nerfs being to mobility and obviously the erasure of her previous playstyle for anyone who'd prefer it). The bossing damage difference between the two is so insane they can't realistically be compared, let alone the QoL from not having to juggle between different forms to prepare multiple different buffs to maximise a burst that's already on the weaker side.
@@altsadhara You were probably also bossing in bear mode and not hawk, bear was never good to boss in.
@@MasterStacona Bear's sustained DPM was considerably higher than Hawk, but Hawk could burst harder (by taking Bear's bossing stance and then swapping to hawk to use tornado). So, I was primarily using all of the animals I had available to me depending on the situation.
The damage difference between my BT and my Lynn (no gear changes of any kind) are actually insane though-- she went from me skipping Lotus because he took too long, to being able to defeat him in around 4 minutes and even beating Guardian Angel Slime if I put in the time. I know neither of those are impressive to many players, but I was sure impressed by her overall damage improvement.
@@altsadhara hawk has way better sustain damage, it was too hard for bear to deal damage over half the time which is the difference maker between sustain and burst
Peck functions the same as defensive formation and does the same damage, the wolf is similar to baby bombers, then tornado does substantially more damage than pan's attack even with the slightly less than 1/3rd uptime - the problem to tornado was the stationary channel was too hard to pull off most of the time.
So in terms of solo damage, it is just the 4 extra CD attacks she gets, 3 of them can skip and the hyper cannot, that pushes her sustain damage higher.
Big bird is the circus, but replaces defensive formation, chase could have both the circus and defensive formation at the same time.
Lynn also has a worse culvert than Chase, but Lynn is pure sustain damage, especially since the bird procs the wolf.

The Bear skill’s hitbox is so wide. It makes hitting 3 platforms so easy. Pretty lazy farming! 😊

lynn mobbing is rly nice without any funding bcs of the huge hitbox of the bear, mobility with sweep and her inbuild high crit chance. makes her feel realy good without any gear
Personally, I never really enjoyed beast tamer, while I thought her aesthetics were good, I never felt like I was making any progress, maybe I just was never playing the class the 'right' way, but I always felt like I lagged heavily in damage, making mobbing and leveling really slow. I got a beast tamer to 210 for the link skill and stopped. After trying Lynn, I can say I'm definitely having a better time personally. I'm handling mobs better, I'm able to start dealing with a few of the weekly bosses that I couldnt TOUCH when using Beast Tamer, and more of it, I'm actually having FUN playing Lynn, which I think is best for me. If you're not having fun with a class, even if its best in the world, you might not want to play it. Just my personal 2 cents, again, may not have played beast tamer properly, but I wont hate anyone who did like beast tamer.
As a former BT main, I can't tell if I love the 6th job cause it's good or if I'm just excited to have one but either way. It's here.
I miss the live streams man those were so fun! But i get it real life stuffs comes first always. Hope the new born bebe turns out to be just like coppersan a kind and sweet human being
Man I loved leveling Lynn to 200, granted I did boink at 141 but leveling through it was fast and fun. Great story with visual images showcasing moments of the story.

Best Lynn skill the total party kill teleport skill. Just tp entire party into gloom laser or something for instant profit and kick from that party :D
I'll miss the hawk fly skill, the job lost s but its more stronger now than the bt, i hyperburned her to 260, i can't wait to see the 6th job

@@juun5724i imagine he meant that’s what he chose for his 260, just like i chose angelic buster in anticipation for her rework. you received a 260 burn back in November.

I prefer the direction where we have fewer classes but more jobs and more places. Maple became a MOBA-like game where you have to grind a million characters instead of focusing on one. People are saying that the classic MS was too grindy but now it's fast. Agree its fast for 1 character but you have to grind several of them :D
the brazilian server only had the 4 initial explorer classes and their respective jobs, and it felt fine. I love some of the new classes but something about playing the old explorer classes (pre-revamp) felt extra nice, those days were the best, things were much simpler back then.
Why is grinding multiple heroes the meta? I havent played in maybe 15 years
@@SteamIQIt's not meta its a must-have. Leveling up characters boosts your main stats. If you play only 1 character you will have sux stats and dmg :) imagine you wear noob eq in the old ms and try to level up.

Glad to see one of these videos again! Been a while since I played Maple myself, can anyone tell me why they even reworked Beasttamer into Lynn in the first place?
From what I heard and anybody can correct me if I am wrong, They didn't know how to make 6th job beast tamer work, so they reworked the class.
Seems like a weird way to take it, but if they couldn't make it work, at least they didn't delete it like Jett (my main at the time 😢)
Well, bt was an EN exlusive class, so it didnt get most of the updates and reworks like other classes that the korean team managed, same with jett. The solution with jett is that it got removed, while bt got a welcome change imo. Thought we lost a unique skill tree exclusive to og bt xd.
I have about 3.5k legion, and decent links and i never struggled to one shot even at star force maps. The CRA equips helped alot at 150 though.
When I played the storyline and saw Gaia turn into a chibi ass deer, I fangirled cuz it was so damn cute 😂
Me too lol the characters were panicking because she was shrinking meanwhile I was like "omg wait... shes so tiny and cute, I wanna put her in my pocket"
I played Lynn mine is now level 202 and i swear I had so much fun playing it! Compared to the old Beast tamer! :O Thinking of making it another boss mule just cause I enjoyed it, even if its not as strong....

I have a pretty big bias towards warriors, but Lynn has managed to be just as fun to play.
But that might be because she has, not only a double jump, but also a normal up jump (coughexplorerwarriorscough)
Lynn is like the mage version of a Dawn Warrior -- massive hitbox for a melee character for no reason. Pan makes Lynn feel like a jump attack class. Do like.
rip beast tamer ur exp buffs will be missed
I just reached the level 60 range, and I can't seem to trigger the sneak attack despite having toggled it on. I've been fighting like usual since it's a passive once turned on, but i never see it proc and I never get the buff from his attacks as a result since he never attacks.

The new Lynn class genuinely feels like a visual downgrade to me. It might deal more damage solo and have unique team teleporting skills, but when compared to the utility that BT brought, I'm just a bit disappointed. She's still a great class for sure, but it just feels like character assassination with a reduction in class depth. For reference, BTs were able to give to party members (list of everything possible provided by the BT Discord):
| 30% damage for 15 seconds
| 20% FD for 20-30 seconds, and you can skip cooldown on this skill for more
| 40% damage , +2 atk speed, 25% hp mp , some def and speed
| 30% crit rate, 10% crit damage
| 35 atk and magic attack
| 40% enemy ied if enemy is debuffed
| +20% ied
| +20% drop rate
| +15% crit rate from one of the bird skills
| +30 atk magic atk also from one of the bird skills
| 40% party damage reduction for 10s on a 30s cooldown
but had to pick and choose how to juggle these while partying. Compared to Lynn, who has multiple heals over time, an AoE % damage reduction, a single-player Benediction (+50%FD), and teleport shenanigans; while very powerful still, seems extremely streamlined. Again my own opinion, and Lynn may even be better specifically because her kit is more focused, but I'll definitely miss Cat Skills, as well as the general aesthetic Beast Tamer skills had.
That being said, I am excited to see where Lynns go from here as Beast Tamer never had its 6th job. She could be a good alternative for people who don't exactly want to be Bishops but still want to be a strong support.
She also has a 30% IED buff to all allies! Not that it makes up for what was lost but yeah.. i think she can also block oneshots for the party once? Not sure
Does less damage than Chase and plays significantly worse too. The support skills are actually usable for modern maple, but at the cost of everything about Lynn plays way worse and is way worse.
Lynn is really bad right now, she is not fun to play, and her buffs are substantially worse. Chase was super fluid while Lynn is extremely clunky and you have to play optimal or get punished with things like her very restrictive high cooldown bird dash and her up jump sucks too, while Chase's hawk upjump was super high, had a glide, had double flash jump, had even longer range dashes that had no cooldown and could go straight up and down, and could fly!
I want my class back, not this anti-fun garbage! Worst remake ever that makes the class worse than the original...
@@MasterStacona Lynn do a lot more dmg compare to Chase, better support heal for party, really good heal in ctene party, your party can ignore a lot boss mechanic ->more dps. An endgame player in my group(Pikô) has BT hlomien mule, and after convert to Lynn, Lynn does weekly bossing 2x faster.
@@MasterStaconaI wouldn’t consider Lynn “really bad” rn even in comparison with OG Beast Tamer… BT definitely lost some perks both solo and party, but overall it is an insane improvement to the clunky and VERY rarely seen support class. I’d take Lynn’s now vs the 1/100 parties I would ever see BT any day.
@@olgare2838 Chase was not clunky at all, she was super fun and fluid. Lynn is insanely clunky and bossing is a nightmare to do because of how tedious they made everything.
They got to loosen up all of Lynn's restrictions.
Anytime you level a class to 200 please make them a longer video. Show us the whole leveling
Even if this is stronger, it is not a beast tamer. I wish nexon would stop deleting classes.
I will miss you my beast tamer. My quest to solo using cat skills was cut short because of this.
Taking away characters to "improve" them always sucks i feel bad for you. I know how you feel, for me it happened alot in league of legends removed a character to make them "better"

@@nekrovile i loved og Yorik and OG karma had Prozentual mantra heal meaning you healed tanks a ton. I also think before eve got reworked she was still good with the nerfs she got.
Also OG gangplank was the one i continued climbing through diamond and when they reworked him i swapped to fiora but i didn't know she was targeted next and after her rework they already announced before yorik was getting reworked but i wanted to play him a ton before they reworked him. Looking back i was just running from one champ to another because of reworks 🤣
@@nekrovile i only watched MP content videos but if i would have started MP it would have been for the sole reason of beast tamer since i love beast master aspects in rpg's and their animation looked unique, funny and really nice to me.
Lynn Animations don't look good to me so i am not tempted in starting anymore haha.
Question for Lynn users here... I continued my Beast Tamer. I went through the quest line to arrive in Ellinia. My question is...Where can I find Pan again? I haven't progressed to 3rd job yet until I find him :/
Wait so what happens to the Beast Tamer link skill? I quit Maple a while ago but still sucks that the effort to get her to 210 seems to have gone down the drain

No change. Lynn now has the old BT link skill, so the only difference from a link skill mule perspective is that the character can now be made at any time rather than just during certain events.

I leveled my lean with the growth potions till lvl 200 but the skills still locked and i didnt get the reward also there is no other quest to do all complete

The next is the Angelic Buster rework wish Kaiser also got one but no. Just got my Lynn to 100 and learned that they missing 3 ap in 3rd job so going to need to not fully up a skill to max the 4th job requirements now I got to spend money I don't have to relocate points
Hey everyone, I have a lvl 150 beast tamer (now Lynn), if I train that character to lvl 200 will I get those lvl 200 event rewards (Great Tree Memories)?
Beast Tamer was my favorite class in the game and one I really wanted to main, but it was better to enjoy it from a distance rather than trying to put any time and effort into it unfortunately. A class with such a unique play style that unfortunately ended up also being it's downfall in the end. I'm really enjoying Lynn, it's one of my new favorite classes but I'm always going to have mixed feelings towards it because it just feels like a new class rather than capturing Beast Tamer's identity like a rework should have; I really wish it would've been a new class on it's own and they just kept BT as it was until they could figure out someway to make it work. There's definitely something they could've done but it feels like they didn't even try, and that sucks.
Lynn's a great class and is a success in my opinion on it's own, but as a BT rework it's not Beast Tamer outside of aesthetics. Beast Tamer definitely needed a rework though and I don't think anyone can really argue with that; The class was archaic and clunky compared to the more modern classes but some QoL updates that other classes received and some skill reworks would've gone a long way in making it much more enjoyable to play.
I love Lynn, but I'm going to miss Beast Tamer. Maplestory lost some of it's charm and a very unique class for something more streamlined and generic, and that's a real shame.
I am a bit sad that the original storyline is gone now. what happened to those characters?

i just started playing maplestory and i'm really confused what to do... i reached lvl 42 as lynn and game literally show no "main" quest there are tons of different quests and idk in which order do them and where i should go. Also idk how to move around the map help ;/

It's a nice job but it's not beast teamer I mis it alot because you first can fly and attack at the same time and you have to do nothing just chilling in the air and attack and now wel you see

What's the point of playing Lynn if they are simply going to keep removing classes? I had both a Jett and a Beast Tamer and now that BOTH classes are removed, why would I yet again waste time and energy to play Lynn? Serious question and it makes zero sense.

It's kinda lame, just having a level 215 lynn, because your beast tamer just transformed into one lmao
I personally think lynn is much better. Even though bt was more versatile the fact that you Could barely do dmg in cat mode was shit game design. I feel like lynn is way more stream lined and consistant even if she lost out on some utility

I'm playing old school ms and it's amazing. I miss the simpler maple times, when double jump where reserved to few and mobility really wss a differencial and multiple lines of damage where only achievable after much grind
I grew up playing Maplestory and I can't even listen to the music without being crushed by Nostalgia. It's sad that Nexon doesn't have any official oldschool awecwe (as far as I know)

High end bossing is almost always done in parties at first, and only solos when the character is way overqualified. Solo progression (people who actually don't party at all) is very challenging to play.

managing the animals was absolute garbage, xenon can transform skills so why couldn't beast tamer? example all skills would have been the same button and they would change to whatever beast you swapped too instead of the overbloated skill list, however I like this version as well they picked my second solution for the overbloated skilllist, I finally have a main again lets hope Nexon doesn't delete it this time
Lynn is absolute trash, super clunky, and as soon as the lynn event is over no one will play her in her current state outside of BT mains because of the high level of investment we have put into the character, to wait and hope for massive buffs in almost everyone of her skills.
