If there was no invention of extractor today there would be an extreme shortage of Auto Glass technician?

I do not think so, as it was only a major tool for such a short time. The Uk has been using wire for so much longer. The American way was faster and quicker and resulting in the tool. People did just fine for 75-80 years without one.
