Made my 3th junk journal now. I'm a heartpatient with a auto imune desease on top, so 54 and working no more. I had a 5 year depression of loosing my work (horse trainer / horse riding instructor for kids & adults / auteur of novels... all to much now) and meaning in life. My dogs, my macaw and parrots and living my dream of living full time in a beautiful 4 seasons bell tent on the middle of my prairy learned me to love life again, though I needed something that I could do and make with my hands. I found junk journalling on yt and I found you. I learned so much in a few months, but more important, I found something I feel proud of again, something I can make and enjoy with my hands. Am I tired, doesnt matter, I continue a day or a week later... I love it! I dont have that much money, so I'm very sorry, but I buy on a cheap website, but nevertheless - it calls "junk journall isnt it 😂 - it is beautiful to me. So thank you very very much for teaching me this art form and I enjoy every episode ❤
Welcome and what a wonderful comment. I’m so happy to hear that you are enjoying junk journaling too and the videos. My heart is full that I have inspired you. I hope you continue to make more and more journals and have fun along the way. Big hugs from NY. 🤗💕
Hi there! Just found your podcast this week and am happily binging away. Love your style and ideas. I'm new to this "rabbit hole" but already think we need to rename the craft because they're not junk, they're works of art!
Gayle Agustanelli is one of my favorite creators. She's actually who introduced me to you 😊 Julie from Camilla Crafts is another favorite now you are as well ❤
Wow! I am so honored to be included in your favorites with those ladies. I love to watch Camilla craft designs too. So many great ideas. Thank you for being a part of my community and your kind comment. 🤗
Thanks so much for your ideas. They are great. I can't wait to see what you have for us next. If you have 50+ more ideas I'm going to need another book 😊
I love your two envelope ideas. Especially the washi tape one. That's a great way to use washi tape as well as showcase it. So pretty. Congratulations on reaching 10k subbies! 👍 TFS❤
Fantastic ideas for using up those envelopes. Margareth from Seven Plaza has a play list on projects using envelopes. She has some great ideas too. There are many crafters out there that have used envelopes in many ways, Julie from Camila Craft Design, and so many more. Always fun to see the projects that all make. Thanks so much for sharing what you do and obviously you are helping many people including me.
Hello Love your ideas. The envelopes were a great touch for your album. The one with washi tape was genius. I’m going to do it with wash and another set glue together. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us.
Oooh! Congrats on the 10K super exciting 🎉 I just love your series, I’m watching every video. I’m so happy Gayle mentioned you in her video, I came right over and have been binge watching ever since.
...but the SECOND one!! VERY cool!! This may be the piece that pushes me over the edge to make another 'ideas' book! So check this out, I've been lurking in the shadows for months now, trying, with each video, to figure out who it is in my life that you sound like, and still to this very day I have no earthly idea! I don't feel like it's your accent - you're in New York, right? We just moved from Southern California to the Midwest and hear about our accent a LOT! Maybe the tone or pitch? I really don't know, but rest assured, it's a GOOD thing! Your voice is very comforting to me. This is starting to sound weird, huh? No worries, it's all good! If I figure it out, I'll let you know! Greetings from the Midwest, USA, MK ☺️
Hello and welcome. Thats so interesting! Maybe we knew each other in another life ☺️ I am in NY yes. I’m glad you enjoyed the videos and I hope you do make an idea book. It’s such a good reference. Thank you so much for the comment!
I just found your RUclips channel and have been binge watching and using your suggestions for a junk journal idea book. I was wondering if you have ever done an altered book? I am trying to put together a book similar to your junk journal ideas books to gather together page ideas for altered books. I am not very creative about inventing new page ideas. It would be interesting to see what you could come up with.
I have done altered books, yes. I should do a series and make one. I am so happy you’re here. Thank you for watching and I hope you are inspired to make a beautiful journal with the ideas.
When my younger brother was in kindergarten, his best friend got a buzz hair cut. My brother decided he needed his hair back. So my brother took a black crayon and colored his friends head. The little boys mom worked with my mom. She brought her son over after school to show my mom what my brother had done. We laughed so hard.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!! love that pile of Tim Holtz papers. Do you have a link for those papers. Great ideas as always. Like how you store your washi tape. Thankyou DJ.
Thank you so much for watching! The tim holtz papers come from a variety of packs. I’ve mixed them all up and put them together, but I got mine on scrapbook.com. Some packs are no longer available or harder to find so you can look and see what’s there sometimes you can also find them on eBay and Amazon. The washyi tape hack I learned from the raven compendium …they have a RUclips channel as well
I did something similar with an envelope, a photo album page and a printed digital. It’s on my channel titled Did I hit record? Pockets and tucks. A belly band. Oh my! If you wanna check it out. It’s not too long 🙂

Sometimes double sided paper is a curse or dilemma. Beautiful share, I have tons of washi.
It definitely can be! 😊

I love all your fab ideas! I especially love the washi one as like you I have way too much and always forget to use it!
Thank you!! 😊 I’m trying to incorporate it more and more, but I’m glad that it gave you some inspiration as well
Good ideas for using up envelopes. I run my Uhu glue stick over the back of any washi tape or stickers to help make it more secure. Thanks.
Great idea! Thanks for the tip! ☺️
I love using cut corners of envelopes as over the page double sided or same side double pocket corner tucks.
They are a must use!! TFS your ideas!
Loved this ❤
Yayy!! Thank you for watching.

Awesome idea! Love your endless loop of washi!!! How many are there?
A lot 🤣😂 If I count them I get anxious. Thank you for joining me today!
I watch Natasha from treasure books. Also I like your washi holder.
Thank you. I watch Natasha too. She’s very talented.
Love the junk mail pocket flips. Thank you for sharing. I think I'll have to use paper to cover the envelopes though. I have 3 roles of washi tape!
Paper is perfect too. You could do strips of paper and maybe use up scraps too.

Are they going to stop making 12x12 pads?
I believe the ones I love were stopped. Memorandum and such. Not sure about others. I think so.
