That’s one big cool looking arcade machine, it really looks like it took a WHILE to assemble it all. 🥲 Would love to see a video where you play the games on it!
Carly this is a great video. Showing how easy it is to put one of these Arcade1up machines together. Of course your first one has to be Star Wars. I'm surprised my hubby and I's first one is not the same. We are both mega Star Wars fans. Go to all the conventions. But we do have two Arcade1up machines. The Joust and the Class of 81-Galaga /Ms. Pacman. I want to add Dragons Lair and Star Wars, Tron and centipede to our collection. Enjoy your new arcade machine! These little buggers are addicting and perfect when you have family or friends come over.
Thanks for the memories! When I was a kid, I spent way too many quarters in the local mall arcade. They had that original Star Wars game in an x-wing cockpit you sit in and blast away at an onslaught of tie fighters.
Great video! I grew up in the 80's and the arcade was my favorite place of all time. All I ever wanted was an arcade cabinet of my own. Paperboy was my favorite. Finally, they started making these 'home friendly' size machines. My first was the Mortal Kombat cabinet. I love it! I wish mine had a light up marquee like yours plus a light-up coin door. The Star Wars cabinet looks cool AF. Happy gaming!
I recommend the GALAGA 10 in 1. By the way. .. if you choose not to place the self-tapping screws into the base and main cabinet there is another solution. Open the back of the main cabinet and place either some sand bags or another form of weight with a wide but not tall profile onto the main cabinets bottom floor. This will help against tip over issues to some degree. Have fun using the force. Sorry I couldn't find any other arcade emoji...
I will date myself with this but I remember playing those and fake playing those arcade back when I was a kid. I'm an 80's kid. Seeing you set this up brings back so much nostalgia, so thanks for that and THANKS for reminded me of my age, ouch, lol. And I to just had my birthday, if I remember for your IG post we are one week off. Anyways, so awesome, love it and yes love to see you play each game.
This was amazingly cool seeing you put this thing together. I would totally live with you with the assurance that I'd pay the monthly rent one time a year. In quarters!
Thank you for posting this video 🎥🍿🍺🇺🇸👍. You have a new subscriber 🎉. Keep up the great 👍 work 🎉. This is just so cool 😎. Any STAR ⭐️ WARS Fan. Will want this in there home 🏡. I will admit that. When the back panel hit your head. It was very funny 😆 when you looked at the camera 🎥. I can also tell that. You are a big STAR ⭐️ WARS Fan. When lifting 💪 up the Arcade machine. You used the FORCE. - “I am one with the Force, and the Force is with me” is a line from the Star Wars character Chirrut Îmwe, played by Donnie Yen in the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
A lot of people complain about the Arcade 1Up machines. I think they're awesome and just love playing. However I think most people complain because they change the same cabinet ever so slightly quite frequently. I'm more into the Arcade 1Up Countercade machines. They're smaller and I can have more! I love how you get so excited for old retro arcade cabinets! Those were the best times! My mom and dad lost a LOT of quarters back in the day. Thanks and RIP mom!
Absolutely awesome 👌 love your channel ❤️ thanks for being a safe space on the internet 😊 when I was in hospital I watched my fav star wars youtubers and you were one of them 😊 keep up the great work 🎉
This was a great video - I've been really tempted woth one of those as thats my dream arcade game! I always wouldnscourbw ery arcade when inwas a kid to fond The Star Wars Arcade game with my Dad. (And the Turtles one obv). Bit it was like living my favourite movie for as long as the 10p lasted. I hope you love it. Thanks for the videos - always feel great after watching em with a stupid smile on ma face by the end! Honestly how positive you are about Star Wars helps keep me that way. Thanks 🎉😁
Just finished putting the riser together this afternoon for my man cave arcade. Got a couple of tin signs off Temu (Star Wars & Atari) & a couple of lightsabers to display along side. I spent quite a bit of my pocket money at the original sit down cab for this game & this is a dream come true.
I’m an ooooold school Star Wars fan. I played that first Star Wars game way back in the day in the arcade. It was always one of my favorites for the voice overs and the animation. In those days I couldn’t believe that a game could simulate the Death Star trench run. Now look where we are!
You go girl! It won’t just end at 1 that was me 3 years ago. I’m at 30 arcade 1ups now. I built my own arcade in my basement and now I can just travel back in time whenever I want. You got that look in your eyes that says need more arcade games soon. 😝
Both of my 1982 Nelsonic Pac-Man game watches are as close to an arcade as I can get. They both work well for 42 year old game watches. I'm too old to invest in an arcade, but if I do ever get an arcade, I think it will be the ALIENS arcade or SINI-STAR. Nice you got a Star Wars arcade.
I'm going to age myself be saying this but I remember playing this game on a quarter machine in the 80s , I'd love for You to post some loooooong videos of playing this , Geez Carly now I want one :) Thanks .
Hah, nice. Been waiting for this one. What a great nostalgic centerpiece. I was thinking "Pc building in the 80s". But, apparently the first arcade game came out in 1971! Very cool that you have one of these and that you built it yourself, no less! Now all you need is a 24/7 smell of fresh pizza and it's the full experience. Very cool stuff 🦾
@@Raul17.28 no to the pizza smell. When the Star Wars game first came out you would only find it in the dedicated game rooms which were Sub shops if they served food at all. My best friend and I used to walk around quoting the line "I can't see'em" and of course in the desperate voice of the pilot. Brings back memories.😎
@@johnpowell2431 Right on! That's a cool fact to know. The no food policy makes sense too. Nothing like greasy arcade buttons and joysticks! For me it was an authentic Italian pizzeria down the street my parents would often take me to. It had a small but respectable arcade room (arcades and pinball) my little brother and I would get lost in as we waited for the pizza to be ready. Time flew by and next thing we knew it was pizza time! This was in the 90s, mind you. Good times with the broski. Got me into Star Wars, in fact. The broski! 🦾
@@Raul17.28 yeah around 82'-83' for me. When indoor malls were becoming a big thing. Originally there were two game room/Sub shops. Lots of pinball machines and foozball (sp?) before arcade games started showing up. Then the mall got smart and opened an actual arcade with only the best stuff. It was the classic stuff you see in the 80's movies. Only ever played the first Star Wars game doing the trench run. Then I was off to the Army and Germany. By the time I got out we had Nintendo to play at home. Damn where has the time gone.🥲
@@johnpowell2431 That's pretty awesome 👌 Thank you for your service btw! Yes, super NES and N64 are very dear to me, heh. Oh, the ever-moving wand of Chronos. These are very cool eras, for sure!
Awesome video ! I have been following you for a while, the quality of your VLOGS and home videos is amazing, I am sorry for asking but what camera / audio devices do you use ? Is there an affiliated link that you can share ? Thanking you in advance, may the Force be with you !
retro star wars the arccade! is strong in his one pines and nickels of cores...in a house not far away love your channel and the added explosion was funny this was a funny and fun video yeayy!.. way to go.
That's awesome! Hope you enjoy it! You mentioned Galaga at the end, see if you can find the class of 81 cabinet, it has Galaga, Ms Pacman, Dig Dug and a couple other games all included. May the force be with you!
There's a channel called Retro Recipes that converted this Star Wars 1up cabinet into a sit down cockpit style that looks pretty close to the real cockpit Star Wars cabinet. Also, if your yoke stick stops working, I recommend Alan-1 yokes. They are a 3rd party company that makes high quality Star Wars yokes. They're not cheap, but they are highly durable.
If I could get my hands on a fully refurbished original, I would be giddy. That and the original Tron and Disks of Tron environmental. The original Star Wars arcade had a sit-down version with an encloser as well.
Congrats Carly, an awesome addition to any Star Wars collection. I got mine last year as I work from home, it’s great to play a few games as a break from work. I remember the old cockpit arcade booth version and spending loads of time and money in it. The original sounds and actors voices are stand out features. Hope you enjoy many hours of fun. P.S. the ROTJ game just isn’t as good as the other two and I find I play this one the least out of all of them!
Thank you for being such a great Star Wars RUclips content creator and being one of the channels on the platform that is positive about Star Wars.
I really appreciate that!! Thanks for the support 🙏🏼
Yup, always great content ❤

I love that cat! The cat's ears moving with every squeak is outright hilarious! Good job on the assembly, as well.
10:37 And thank YOU my dear Carly! Looking SO elegant, might I add. 🖤👀
Best video arcade! Way to go Carly!
I’m so old I remember playing the original one arcades in the 80s. You sat INSIDE it, like a cockpit!

i love love love that sound effect of changing the games with the yoke, sooo cool.
marvelous specially : YOU !!!! I will buy it too ...great video
I enjoyed seeing your cat wander around and watch as you built the machine. 😄

I remember playing those in the arcade back in the 80's! Love they kept the same controller!! 😉😉
You are awesome! This looks so fun! Thanks for sharing!
I love this. You can help me build my X wing and Tie fighter.

Tron and Galaga are def the classic arcade choices to round off your mini arcade.

genius Carly King.. what u got their is the old school game as it's the 80s Arcade joystick and definately a video of all those games 80s Vibe
Oh man, i love that game! I always play it when i go to the arcade. The yolk really makes it feel right.
