It holds us like a phantom The touch is like a breeze It shines its understanding See the moon smiling Open on all channels Ready to receive And we're not at the mercy Of your shimmers or spells Your shimmers or spells We are of the earth To her we do return The future is inside us It's not somewhere else It's not somewhere else It's not somewhere else One day at a time We call upon the people People have this power The numbers don't decide Your system is a lie The river running dry The wings of a butterfly And you may pour us away like soup Like we're pretty broken flowers We'll take back what is ours Take back what is ours One day at a time
Radiohead Fans and dig this song...headsets on, we tried to sleep to this - no dice thrice. So we had to move...downstairs after midnight to drink these retro vibes. This is music, driving music, getting lost music, so we took our rocket out onto the road where we banged her around the midnight highway solar system shooting by the moon into the asteroid twisties before hanging a hairpin around mars. Yeah..I nodded heading back with the 1122 crew...then puller her into the hanger where she spooled quietly down. Climbed the stairs of our alert and went to back sleep. This is for those who live and Those Who Drive...by The Numbers. Radiohead still delivering notes of medicine for the soul! Excellent Footage!
Today i listened to a faster version of this song (in an instagram story, a video from a vinyl playing) but I can't find it. I can only find this slow version, here on youtube, on instagram music, on spotify, or elsewhere I found only this slow version. Is there anybody who can tell me where to find the "fast" version? Thanks a lot!
I LOVE that electric guitar part that Ed's playing
It's the strings from the studio version, it sounds so fucking bluesy.
Ed said that that was Radiohead's only blues guitar because Ed had to replace the string part of the studio version with his guitar.
chills when the bass drops the line. beautiful! Colin
He’s absolutely right again… a lot of people sleeping on thom yorks prophetic lyrics here
My favourite track from AMSP! Just amazing!
Probably my second favourite track A Moon Shaped Pool behind Decks Dark
It holds us like a phantom
The touch is like a breeze
It shines its understanding
See the moon smiling
Open on all channels
Ready to receive
And we're not at the mercy
Of your shimmers or spells
Your shimmers or spells
We are of the earth
To her we do return
The future is inside us
It's not somewhere else
It's not somewhere else
It's not somewhere else
One day at a time
We call upon the people
People have this power
The numbers don't decide
Your system is a lie
The river running dry
The wings of a butterfly
And you may pour us away like soup
Like we're pretty broken flowers
We'll take back what is ours
Take back what is ours
One day at a time
Thank you for sharing 👌
Perfect performance!!!
damn right we will!!
Outstanding ! Also very good audio quality .
This is beyond amazing
This is so fucking good that it hurts!
I love the laughs in the beginning! 😃
Ed owns it!
Perfection!
the heavenly sounding piano intro always gets me pumped aaaa 0:20
Man I miss the epic strings in this song.
Shammo Hamid ed kills it on the guitar though.
Instead you have the Radiohead's only blues guitar lick by Ed
Anyone else excited for Ed's solo album?
I am!
Wait really? I didn't know, now I'm excited too!
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 It’s been out for over a year now, Earth by EOB
Great video. Thanks for sharing. 👍
My man love this joint fucking RADIOHEAD
Brilliant video
Wow! This performance is flawless. It's just like the one on the album only without the strings.
Amazing uplifting tune
Five exceptional musical talents. Don't let people tell you that all the posh kids got where they are because of their parents.
They’re not posh?
overlooked album and song
What camera are you shooting with? These videos are amazing.
Yeah what camera is that ?
It would be even greater to hear it with live orchestration, anyway, I love this song
Ed
Ed seems so similar to Michael Gira in this video, even a Semi Hollow guitar
Wow
Such AIR influence though. I can hear, Thom Yorke must be fan of Femme d'Argent
Oh yes! Now that you say it!
Reminds me of an old Traffic song.
I don´t know what band Traffic is, but the vibe in the guitar reminds me mostly of Neil Young.
Oh yeah, it does sound like it belongs on Low Spark. Someone else here compared it to "No Quarter," and I kinda get that.
5:33 "what the hell was that?"
perfection
A Moon Shaped Pool is a Smiling Moon. 8-)
wonderfull! thks guy, ur vidéos is very nice:-) :-)
😍
I think this song sounds like the experimental side of zeppelin. I love it.
yea i get a no quarter vibe
😊
Wish they stuck with Silent Spring. Unless they thought they were ripping it off from that book.
ah yeah that was the original title, right? ... it is actually better.

Bien vu le shoot sur Ed pile avant son solo .. très bien vu ! ^^
Echoes of Alice Coltrane ... beautiful

Go on you tube and change the playback speed to 1.25
Faboolean thannks for suggestion! But the version I listened to, it was from a vynil, so I can't understand where is the difference
@@francescospingola7980 the vinyl version is still the same song. I don't get why that wouldn't work
Sounds much nicer with real drums!
Are there any instruments that Jonny can't play?
The numbers Mason!!! What do they mean???
Wrong universe mate
Thom is from God, whatever that is.
sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
eeeeeee
t
who is radiohead? have they been around long?
Sounds a bit like Mother Focus By Focus take a listen
Actually the chords are similar to Stairway
ruclips.net/video/R_L2pyAqDBg/видео.html.
You are absolutely right here. There is no way Thom didn't know about this. They took the chords because they liked the song.
The chord structures Thom Yorke crafts are better than Mozart. Amazing.
You’re laughing
I asked you to sing the Numbers and you’re laughing
A Moon Shaped Pool would have been their best album if they didn’t severely overproduce it.
Maybe, but maybe not. I still love it and I probably always will🤫
Over produced? Lol it was actually a pretty subtle and clean production, also very fitting for the atmosphere
"Overproduce" ????
cr78 version is better.
