- Walking an art show is an amazing experience, seeing all the various works of art being offered by artists. But rarely do people wonder what goes into setting up an art booth. In today's video, Dave sets up his art booth to take a 'booth shot' for applications to art shows. Dave walks you through setting up a booth, using time lapse you will get to see the effort that goes into setting up a booth for an art show.
About Dave!
Dave Cote has been photographing landscapes for as long as he can remember. Dave works full time as an IT Project Manager, as well as his photography business. He sells prints on line, at art shows, and occasionally you will find his photography in various medical offices and Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Virginia as well as medical offices in Phoenix, Arizona. His emphasis is on doing great photography as quickly as possible. He finds ways to make processing photographs easier and quicker, getting you back out to take more photographs!
All photography is about light. All photographers state that they “paint” with light. Dave looks for more than just light, he looks for textures, tones and colors. Dave finds that the quality of light at the moment he clicks the shutter will bring out or reveal a color, tone or texture that wasn’t obvious just minutes before and will disappear minutes after. He revels in the beauty of the world, and sometimes feels like a kid in awe of the simple beauty that he sees around him.

Very nice setup. What kind of art hanging system are you using? It looks like it's hanging from a top rail. This is what I am really trying to find out about - how to hang canvas paintings on mesh panels. Thanks.
Enlightening video, thanks for posting it.
This was very helpful, thank you so much!
Hi David. Very nice art you create. Your pop-up tent. is it a small car port/ cover? Looks very professional.
No, the booth is only 10x10 and is a tent. I wouldn't use it for a car port.
Looks great David, but what are the mesh panels and where do you get them please?
The mesh panels are from Flurish, the same folks who do the tents. If you go out to Flurishdisplays.com you will find them under MeshPanels. They come in two colors, white and black. I got the white so that it wasn't so dark in the booth. Sorry for the late reply!
What system are you using to hang your pictures?
Following. How do you hang it?
Look up STAS SmartSpring on Amazon. You will find the clamps (which are compression clamps) and you can buy either steel or nylon cord to put the clamps on. Fairly inexpensive and easy to use without wearing out your walls!

Where did you get your canopy and mesh walls?

Is there an opinion on framed canvas vs non framed?
Step by step: links where did you phrchase
Where did you get your mesh panels from?
Karen, go to www.flourishdisplays.com/meshpanel_features. They are the producers of the mesh panels. They have variations, and even a version that will fit in a popup tent. Enjoy and Good Luck!
