The scariest part of the manga ending is realising we're all 10 years older now... holy shit
Damn....
Why did you have to do this ?
*cries in one piece*
@rahfahL you make yourself sound 39 😂
Yeah I remember watching the anime back in 3rd grade in 2014
Kind of beautiful. Afo got what he wanted. He got one for all. And it destroyed him. Poetic Justice.
AFO also got what was coming to him; he set up a successor who was destined to be The Destroyer of All Systems. However, like an idiot, he forgot that when you beat an attack dog, it's going to turn on you, too.
@@omegaminoseer4539 He destroyed all systems including AFO's
@@omegaminoseer4539Mission Failed Successfully
Tomura: “I wasn’t able to destroy anything.”
Tenko’s family, Tenko’s bullies, Deika city citizens, Crust, and Star and Stripe: “I beg to differ.”
I hate when the story pulls crap like that for the villains
That was all for one controlling him. when afo wasnt controlling tenko with the decay quirk tenko technically didnt destroy anything
@@toxic_slayer236 I checked on some videos and uhhhh he did kill people, the meta liberation people, the villain 9 , and some heroes under the hospital
He even tried to kill the students at the usj at the water zone
Even if afo was in control of shiggarki
He started decaying the environment
@@toxic_slayer236
He still destroyed those things regardless of the reason
@@greengem9132all AFO was simply dictating his life like nothing but a chesspiece to get his puppet to the point of no return so he can turn tomura into a vessel. He didnt straight up control him but his manipulation, contacts and what he has done to tomura is a huge factor of how and why tomura was in every major event wher he had to destroy. Which is why he didn't destroy anything, it was just all for one manipulating him from the sidelines so his hier could grow
Honestly I felt shiggys ending was a bit abrupt, but I did enjoy the fact that his characters motivation didn’t change and he still believed in his idea destruction
Completely agree. I remember chapters ago when Shigaraki got his body back, he said “As Tomura Shigaraki and Tenko Shimura. I’ve got only one hope. To destroy everything that has to do with that house! That’s the only thing that’s gonna save me hero!” And now after the reveal that AFO is responsible for granting him all the tragedy, rejection, validation and the ordeals, being responsible for turning his home into what it was. Seems like Shigaraki’s new hope was to destroy AFO at that point and he did just that.
He hated everything till the very end but, he still reached peace. He didn't get to finish but he did successfully dismantle and destroyed a lot in a way that hasn't been seen since the peak of AFO's journey.
Haha he said black rod
What happened to the guys comment calling nick out for flip flopping his opinions?
All for one is basically a yandere Brocon, that wanted everything in the world for himself and his brother.
Totally lol. 😂😂
I mean if his name wasn't a dead give away...
Not the first one to succumb the the temptations of a shota when curating the family tree, and I fear he won't be the last :/
Then his brother ran away with his boyfriend
turns out that Dekus dad was the friends we made along the way.
Great ending to close the story. MHA is my favorite anime/show of all time, so naturally I didnt want such a final ending.. I really wanted a shippuden like timeskip and then see the latter years at UA and young adult deku Heroing. We still have so much plot potential on the table.
But with Horikoshi's health being what is it, that was always just a dream.
There’s a very slim chance of it happening. But I really hope we can get a sequel series of MHA called “My Hero Agency” where all the characters are grown up, have graduated from U.A and are official pro heroes. This series was tackling about AFO, but if they did a sequel series I’d love it if they tacked quirk singularity and the doomsday aspect around that.
@t.j.1584 you read my mind exactly. AFO was a great overall plot so far. But I always felt like the real plot was the quirk singularity, and the possible collapse of society. We could finally get introduced to Deku's father who had been working on the doomsday theory for awhile or something... idk. There is just so much potential for the MHA world, lol I want more!!!
@@WoahJustTakeItEasyMan I completely agree. For the academia stuff, the AFO plot was great. But In a sequel series where the students are all grown up and are now pros in their own agency’s, I’d like to see them try and improve society after the events of My hero academia. Like what does Deku do in order to improve society after his fight with Shigaraki. Which is a pretty good contrast for Deku to prove that hate and destruction is not what’s needed to strive for a better society. Or how Uraraka tries to improve society for those whose quirks can take over their mental health and personality or make certain villian looking quirks fit into society so they don’t be outcasts like what happened to Toga. How Shoji tries to improve the heteromorph quirk users in society, or what Shoto can contribute to society after his fight with Toya etc. and how does quirk singularity affect the new better society these heroes are striving to create. Potentially causing another collapse in society. Like you said, there’s a lot more potential in the MHA world, which a sequel series could explore more with…and I also want more of that, lol.
Well we already have spin offs like Vigilantes or Team Ups which were supervised by Horikoshi, so at this point if done right we could have different spin offs, etc coming from the same universe.
The industry harms authors health to a crazy degree, it’s impressive any of them manage to make more than one story
Love the editor's note at 0:51 saying my kid is a pretty cool dude😂😂😂😂😂
Same 😂😭
Something interesting about the line about he had not destroyed anything yet, that was the exact line Spinner said before the war ended around chapter 292 when AFO took over Tomura’s body.
MHA = Shippuden Rise of the Hydra Singularity
Considering Daku is quirkless now, Bakugo, claiming to surpass him has pretty much already been set in motion
Just like endeavor … fire quirk ;)
shiggy could have given him OFA back since in the end their hands touch all bloodied so he could have transferred it in his demise
@@trapsu4426....well crap.
There's that too...I just thought they could simply use eri's magic quirk
@@nickrffpatellis852 I doubt it, I don't think Eri's quirk would be able to restore a "given quirk" versus a born/natural quirk that is bonded to you. Not to mention, Deku was quirkless before he got OFA, so all Eri would be doing is just restoring him back to how he was before he was all bloody and such. I'd love to be proven wrong, but having Deku be quirkless again, works for the story ending
@@nickrffpatellis852 Eri doesn't have enough stockpiled power to really do anything at the moment not to mention her horns been cut so no clue how that will affect her
I really want that last moment where shigaraki and deku touched hands, he got a quirk factor of one for all, but without yuichis essence, like a fresh start for the legacy of heroes, like what korra had in breaking the cycle and starting fresh
Same, but I’d say we still have some more chapters to see if anything happens next. I have two theories on that, which I hope one of them comes true. Either Shigaraki was able to transfer the stockpile quirk back to Deku during that last fist bump, or he was able to transfer Tenko’s original quirk, which was stolen by AFO into Deku. I do find it odd how AFO mentions Tenko’s original quirk as “yet-unknown” possibly foreshadowing that Deku would end up with that quirk and we’ll eventually know what it is.
@t.j.1584 would be really crazy if tenko as a massive fan of heroes as a kid like deku, actually had a quirk to copy quirks if he understood them intrinsically, like an uber fanboy would
Fuck korra, imagine your the new avatar and she's all you have to fall back on for guidance 💀 korra was a travesty
That's quite break the rule here
All for one always said to be Yoichi power
I really felt like shigaraki deserved a better ending. He was a huge fan of hero’s and wanted to become one. He was manipulated into killing his family then manipulated into becoming a villain because of it. Telling others and even himself that he was a villain because of what happened to him, because people ignored him when he was in need, but realizes that that was just an excuse to cause destruction. So bro becomes a god of destruction and that is his goal. He knows that AFO is trying to control him again but doesn’t allow it for so long, but finally loses control and hands it to AFO. AFO is defeated causing Shigaraki to perish with him. Though all that I was hoping to see shigaraki take a Dub. Not by winning a fight but with the help of deku’s words being able to take control, maybe even shigaraki could unlock the building part of his quirk and he rebuilds lol of the destruction but his body is too torn down so he perishes after.
“I give up on MHA, this is horrible”
“MHA’s ending is perfection”
Bro knows how to bait the clicks.
Its almost like you can like and dislike things in a story?!?!?
@@theweebcommanderor. Its almost like you can change sides like a chameleon.

@@theweebcommander yeah sure, i just found the dichotomy funny lmfao
There are still several story points that never got expanded upon that I hope do in a potential sequel.
•The robot revolution that’s been hinted at in the background since the beginning of the story.
•The origin of quirks, who or what caused them?
•The next generation of heros/ people and their dangerously ever evolving quirks with each subsequent generation.
•And since Horikoshinis a huge fan and takes major inspiration from comic/ pop-culture in the west, we could possibly see some alien/ space exploration/ conflict in a possible continuation.
That's all, unnecesary. Literally. Robot revolution sure maybe. The origin of quirks doesn't matter, they just did. The later generation of quirks being more destructive is kinda weird since it got mentions only once and has never been that relevant. Aliens would comoletely jump the shark, like who tf need aliens in mha
Probably set up for a potential sequel following Eri or Izuku’s kids?
Cause I pay to see that

Im still mad that Vigilantes didnt amount to shit in the main story. I would have wished to see Koichi appear especially since his big bad was so tied to All For One.
I also would've loved to see the vigilantes heroes in the story but the thing is it is not a story made by horikoshi. It was a fan made series that horikoshi approved.
Perhaps Koichi will still appear, because the American President ordered to send heroes to help Japan, and Koichi works in the agency of Captain Celebrity, who became America's number one hero after the death of Star and Stripe
@@Gali_ll_LyuMaybe if MHA was its own universe. But its not. Its a story written by one dude who probably doesnt have "Vigilantes" on his mind nearly at all. But hey, I cant prove you wrong yet, lol.

I really like this ending, I’ve read this story since 2014 and caught up with it almost every week since. Not what I expected but I like it personally. My biggest give away that despite what happens in our youths we always have a choice. I have ptsd from abuse I relate to shiggy in a way by feeling robbed of mind, body and life from what I hoped to be guardians. Despite the triggers, the pain and flashbacks, what we always wanted, wanted to be and wanted for others never had really changed.
Now with All for One defeated, Deku now faces his most formidable opponent:
The MHA fandom wanting timeskip ships
Hey congrats to your editor!
❤
Im mostley satisfied because Shigaraki didn't get some talk no jutsu save. Deku still didn't forgive him and he didn't save him form his well deserved death. But managed to get him to admit that he was no destroyer just a whiny brat who could not acept that he did wrong. Shigaraki died like a even bigger bitch than his dad as even with godlike powers he never earned them and thus lost.
Deku also punched trough All for one by saying that deep down he wasen't a monster or a demon lord. He was simply a human like everyone else. A man who missed his brother who due to his sociopathy could not express it in a healthy or good way. He got his final moment with Yoichi who regretted that he could not save his brother from his own evil and now finally put an end to this sad story.
I love that part when Deku's dad showed up and it was super important.
Looks like Horikoshi forgot about it after all 😂
@@Horacio_Poggi
Hes gonna show up to his wedding😂
Remember, this story is about future Deku narrating about how he became the greatest hero. For all we know, he could be telling this story to his dad making sure he’s all caught up with the events that happened since he was away working abroad. Which honestly would be a pretty good twist in my opinion.
Imagine deku's dad shows up. Looks at deku and is like "Damn you still don't have a quirk?"

I'm so glad the Shiguraki fight got to be everything it got to be. The first wave of fighters. Bakugo refusing to die, or go to the hospital. Deku showing up. The All Might detour. The final beat down. Even the final boss phase.
Spectacular. It's like if Naruto ended at Madara.

I think the best part is the reinterpretation of what Midoriya told us at the start: “This is the story of how I became the greatest hero”
For most of the story, we interpreted it as Midoriya being #1, being viewed as a greater All Might. But I think the better interpretation was that heroes are like professional athletes, they inspire people, they make life changing money, and they’re recognizable. Even the greatest athletes like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Wayne Gretzky wouldn’t be able to replicate their peak performance. But even if the 5th best current player could beat them, does that diminish their greatness? No
Jesus the copium 😅
@@Dr._Atomwhat copium are u on
@@Dr._Atom Who let lil bro with the ipad
you know what diminishes this "greatness" deku killed a victim and never addressed the main source of crime which is wealth inequality. the villains early on actually had a point before it was dropped for mindless destruction. the point was anti capitalism. the heroes are private entities... we have a history irl of private "heroes" not working out well. for example private fire fighters started fires and would not put fires out till they got payed. heroes would act the same way. deku should have agreed with the main villains as originally they just had a different view on heroism. then the heroes should have split. the evil hero status quo continuing to be evil and deku and other real heroes actually trying to fix the source of the issue. deku and shigaraki should only fight to get deku to understand that crime has a source that can be addressed. but to address this issue deku would have to topple all of the worlds governments and enact worker ownership thus eliminating the wealth inequality that caused the crime.

That is so beautiful. The War. Is. Finally. Over.
All for One, is Finally, gone.
And Tenko Shimura is tragically but relievingly free
I fell like Izuku got a few quirks from the final duel clash with him and Shigaraki. Now whether they were the quirks of OFA, a bunch of AFO’s quirks or, heck, even All For One (the quirk not the person) I feel Izuku isn’t quirkless. As your said at 6:40 all AFO needs to do is touch someone in order to transfer his powers and gain a new vessel.
And what better vessel to hold OFA and AFO than one that has already wielded OFA at its strongest.

The PERFECT use of the power of friendship ending.
Always thought this type of ending was awful, but mha's version of this ending is actually good.
Instead of the MC suddenly gaining power due to having friends, MC'S friends HELP the mc WIN.
This ending feels like a EVOLVED version of the power of friendship ending.

I’m not sure about this ending, I thought the idea was that deku refused to kill shiggy as he was a manipulated crying child.
All the vestiges told him to just kill shiggy but he refused and insisted on this gamble forcing OFA into him to reach his “true self “
But then in the end he simply just killed him ? I get that shiggy got to be “free” in his last moments, but is that worth sacrificing the greatest quirk?

That's a peak ending of MHA, manga endings this decade go hard asf
Watch as the announcement of a continuation of MHA like Naruto where we follow the new generation. Whether the continuation is good or not, I hope we get more focus on the Quirk Singularity phenomenon, see the effect it has on socialty and how the MC, whoever they are, deals with the calamity-like event.
I really hope that doesn't happen.
We really need to learn to let something just end. Like I wouldn't mind a Light Novel or two to just wrap up some characters stories but there really shouldn't be a sequel.
They'll just be power and threat escalation. We'll be fighting villains from another dimension or aliens or new Omega Quirks that are far greater threats than AFO ever was.
I'd rather have a prequel to when Quirks first started appearing and how the world dealt with that, how hero society was originally built.
I could go for a pro-hero era with the current cast if they really wanted to continue it, but I'm not interested in a next-generation thing.

Izuku is easily one of the greatest main characters of all time for any manga, he's so well written and relatable. But my favorite part of his character is just HOW heroic he is, he is the very embodyment of what it means to be a true hero. Prioritizing other people over yourself no matter the risk, the fact that he tried to save his ultimate foe in shigaraki despite all he had done showed his strength of character.
I need you to review Wind Breaker, I've spent the last 3 days reading every chapter before I hop into the anime after you recommended it
how ironic out of all the people to say "perfection"
This story is the first manga/ anime I ever got into and as such is super important to me. I’m glad it ends the way it does too. And if they want a sequel or something maybe they can focus on dealing with the effects of the Quirk Singularity issue.
That would be a dope sequel series. They could even call it “My Hero Agency” showing all the characters grown up and official pro heroes. Plus you can still call it “MHA” that way.
Once these mangas are done, you should take the time to read Gachiakuta it has around 90 chapters and is still relatively new but it’s a great story. I think out of all the recent new Gen manga stories that have come out it’s up there

congratulations Editor on your Child!
I actually HATE that the good guy ultimately always looses in the end. He his not the number 1 hero. He was for all of like 2min. He lost all of his abilities. He can’t do what he loves. So in the end he is a looser. This is the problem I have with all super hero movies nowadays. What happen to the hero getting the win, the girl and continue to be a hero. Our society has this thing where the hero will ultimately always loose. It is not a good look and not a complete happy ending. It is a particularly happy ending but not the ultimate. So why would you choose to do the right thing if you end up broken in the end. I HATE THIS TROPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did the most important stopping afo thats all that matters can go home and be a family man let the others fight crime till they old men
I don't like this ending either but your point about Why would you do the right thing if you end up broken in the end. Well that's what a hero is, someone who is willing to risk his life and all he has to stop the ultimate evil. Another reason is Justice, you do the right thing because its the right thing to do not because you expect some type of reward at the end.
@@SmallLegacy all I am saying. A Happy ending worked for years. It wasn’t until the early 2000 to when almost Every Story the hero while he does beats the bad guy, but ultimately he looses his life, his ability, is broken mentally or physically and doesn’t get the girl. No happy ever after for the hero. Just sayin. I do understand that in reality, it is probably not going to be that way. Well 50/50. But this is supposed to be an escape from reality. If the hero isn’t broken or dead, he gets the girl, and lives happily ever after doing what he loves, with his love. These are thing all men want. We show that is possible it give hope and makes more men wanting to do the right thing. If doing the right thing means I can’t do the things I love to do, then why do them. This is today young mentality. I can’t blame them cause it is what we program in their head since they were young.
@@sirwhooshingtonthe3rd706 not arguing at all. I agree that he did the right thing and paid the price for it. It would have been nice for him to defeat all for one and still have all his powers. All Deku ever wanted to do was to be a super hero. He just wanted to help people like almight. While he did accomplish that goal. Now he won’t be able to do it anymore cause he lost his powers and his body is broken. I am not arguing the fact is this should be the most likely possibility ending. All I am saying is since the early 2000 almost every hero movie or show. The hero either dies, doesn’t get the girl, looses all his abilities, body is broken, mentally broken and or multiple of these at the same time. These stories is sending the message to our young. Why do the right thing if you ultimately loose in the end. Guess what, that is today young adults mentality. Can’t blame them. We programmed that way. Just sayin.
@@joshuacoons9517 Message is good people make great sacrifices it's not a loss in the end if everyone he knows isn't dead. He did all might but just speed runned it all might body was broken as well

What the fuck even is this comment? Useless fucking bots.
When are we gonna see Deku’s dad
He went out for Milk.
We now that but when is gonna come from the store.
@@sammcfarlane2494 He needed that premium Himalayan Milk, made by old monks from the utter of a 25 year old dying cow.
The trip takes a while but it's all worth it for that sweet sweet Milk.
So if time allows ye should show up on the last page of the final chapter.
Congrats to your editor for their new child.
So did we ever find out about Deku's dad?
I have not cared about following MHA until like 3 weeks ago now I’m regretting sleeping in it
Well it was a really rough ride to get here.
Literally nobody has been talking about the jjk chapter as much as this latest mha wtf are you talking about? 💀 Your takes are pretty much always shit but now that the series is ending you’re gassing it up. Aight bruh.
Yeah, he’s been telling us his mental health solely relies on how many views he gets.
So not only does he not feel bad for flip flopping like this.
It actually makes him feel better, because the more views, likes, or comments he gets, the better he feels.
He gotten worse and worse over the last 3 years.
I hope to god he either just stops posting, or fixes his shit ways
Congrats Riddle
Just like the ending of Demon Slayer, they said to hell with that Chosen One nonsense, to hell with some special power designed to achieve victory, and they said “Teamwork, fucking jump his ass”
I love that so much more than the idea of a CHOSEN ONE
Because even the CHOSEN ONE still needed help to prepare for that final battle, it makes sense that they’d need help to win it too
I just like comparing MHA to Demon Slayer
Once powerless protagonists work hard and obtain powers greater than they could’ve ever imagined, mentors/predecessors were so powerful that even the ultimate evils were intimidated by them
And ultimately, the protagonists weren’t able to win all on their own, they could only go so far by themselves, and that’s okay, that’s what their allies were there for, to stand by their sides and fight together
And ultimately the endings are gonna be kinda similar, not in the specifics like what happens to the characters
But what becomes of their futures, they can rest knowing they did what they set out to do
Tanjiro passes away, knowing he both cured his sister, and rid the world of the demon that cursed them all for centuries
Deku, having destroyed the ultimate evil, will likely return to the sidelines and be happy knowing he became the world’s greatest hero
